Butrint (Butrinti) - Albania - UNESCO World Heritage Site

The ruins in Butrint, Albania are one of the country's historical gems. The site dates back to the 7th or 8th century B.C. and contains remnants of the Greek and Roman period. We visited on a weekday morning in October when the site wasn't too busy. The entry fee was 1,000 LEK (approximately $9.50 USD). Butrint or Butrinti is one of Albania's 3 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the others being Berat and Gjirokastër.
If you are in Sarandë or Ksamil, Butrint is definitely worth a visit.
