No matter where you go in Florida during high season it is crowded.

Anyone considering the Villages full time, rent first. Ideally for one year. Talk to as many residents but focus on those that are long time residents. Those that are a few years or less are still in the "honeymoon stage". The Villages have a lot to offer but on the downside its not for everyone and your paying a premium for the amenities and extras that can be had for much less in other Florida communities. For us personally, SW Floridas winter weather and proximity to the premium beaches were the deciding factors in rejecting the Villages.

Most of the homes in the Villages clearly have been designed for a married couple, with lots of stuff, and with children and grandchildren expected to visit. There do not appear to be any homes for a single person (that just wants to play golf), with not a lot of stuff, and no children or grandchildren.

If I as a snowbird wanted to rent out during the off season, are there people who actually want to rent from April to November?

I appreciate your comment about getting good medical care. I am concerned about that and haven’t seen much about it. Would you please do a video about how you decided on TV Health? I’ve seen a few comments that it is one option and others are going to Ocala or a hospital/drs thru FSU, but don’t know anything about the differences in care or cost.

Great video TB. I would be greatly interested if you could follow up on the repairs maybe a year from now to see how they hold up. For example, if they replace the window sashes that have the "coppering" between the layers of glass, do the replacement sashes also end up having that coppering after a year, and if so, is there a warranty on the replacement items, or are you out of luck once they fix something? Thanks again for this very informative video.

If you are considering a move to the villages, you MUST DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK! Jerry & Linda have done a great job of explaining things given their experience. If you don't like it, do your own research. It's very simple.

You repeatedly say you’re “surprised “ at 5.9 percent price decline. Why? What does that mean? You thought it would be 1 percent? 10 percent?

Thanks for the info. We are snowbirds in McClure since 2020 and can say your dollar figures are spot on. My wife now wants a water softener so I guess I must remove that item from "nonsense" to the "to do" list. We will finally get around to the golf cart this year but I will go gas. I don't think I could sleep at night with Li batteries in the garage due to the fire potential. 20K seems too high for me for a golf cart. I think I will go used or rebuilt.

I just heard that 90% of the Villagers have been vaccinated. So is this the spiked protein capital of the world now? More shedding than golf carts? We’re still planning to move there but are to waiting for the mass exodus of home owners so house shopping will be more plentiful. See you when we get there! 😊

Where do you check for Bonds on homes???

I been keeping up with a home, one resident bought land and he will have a custom home. He already living in one of his home. It's where you pick your land and pick everything for your home. The land cost different prices but it can go up to $200,000 or more for the Land alone. Last 2 years where I live, the homes average $250K , for the same home now cost $470K and it's going up in price everyday . $250K - $600K for our homes, If someone told me this back in 2018 (for example ) I wouldn't believe it. Homes throughout USA , New or Old homes, the cost for them are very expensive $$$$$$$

I'm surprised that there don't seem to be any houses in Middleton with enclosed back yards. You'd think that's something a lot of families would want. Or are there some house series that do have backyards but it's not clearly advertised?

I think it was very wise to develop an area for young families. I'm gonna send this to my son and his wife. Now do you know if they are going to have the same amenity fees per month and also will they have access to the other areas of The Villages? Especially the golf courses. My son is a golfer in. It may be a way to courage them to at least look here.
