    I struggle to squeeze my lats/ push with my legs and use my back a lot... So would doing deadlifts with a slightly raised safety rack help about the form? By the way i am 185cm/ 6'1"

      If you’re struggling due to mobility in the starting position then, yes, a raised starting position can help with that.

    What the difference between squat rack and powercage?

    • @hortonbarbell
      @hortonbarbell 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      They’re pretty close to interchangeable. If I’m being picky, I would say ‘squat rack’ is a more general term that encompasses multiple varieties whereas I think of a powercage as 4 full vertical beams creating a complete box

    Thanks for showing these straps and putting them side by side with the Iron mind straps. Could you please explain in more detail why you prefer these over the Iron mind straps? From what I understood, maybe durability was a factor. Personally, I don't really think the horizontal stitching gets really stressed during lifting, the stress is mostly longitudinal. For me, the fact that the Iron mind straps are wider means they spread the force on the back of your hand over a larger surface area. This intern reduces wear on the tendons there. The only upside I can see for the Warm Body Cold Mind straps is possibly a better grip on the bar. Is this something that you've found, or would you say grip isn't really a factor and both straps provide sufficient grip?

    Good video but if you’re trying to save money you’d tell people to take off 2 of the 45 lb plates from the highest lift section of 45 lb plates as the 25s, 10s, 5s, and 2.5 lb plates that are mandatory will make up the difference. Also a reminder cause it was kinda not said exactly each time - you need a set (2) of each plate size, one for each side of the bar minimum. Big plate sets always come in pairs of two plates per weight definition. You said several times as though one could have one plate of a size but emphasized “2” 10 lb plates like that was a difference. You need two of all of them!

    one tip i have....if you have small wrists, avoid the straps with padding, at least the lassoo style, a lot of the padding is set in a way that prevents the strap from actually being able to lock tightly down on to your wrist...if you have small wrists

      @@techtipsreview7567 any basic strap will work, just avoid ones that are advertised with padding It might feel more uncomfortable, but it will also allow you to lock the strap in much tighter, locking you on to the bar much better i've tried many straps and any that had the padding in the wrist area..all had the padding set to wide for my small wrists and it prevented getting the strap as tight as you'd ideally want it

    I had a guy at the gym show me how to use a closed loop on my front squats to take the pressure from my wrists and still keep the bar under control. He took me from the point of stripping weights to do the movement, to adding. I'll still work on my front rack mobility, but this was a game changer.

  • @arcadiosincero
    @arcadiosincero 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I'm about to get a T3 rack. Main reason is because I already have a T3 squat stand with the half-rack conversion kit, so I already have a few T3 attachments I'd like to keep using. But also a 2x3 rack can use 3x3 attachments if you get some thing like Kaizen Spacers to get them to fit. So that means attachment options are better for a 2x3 because they can accommodate attachments for both size racks.
