Using the Clip Studio Paint 3d tool to create reference
มุมมอง 3.1K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
As I started this illustration without a reference by drawing the silhouette, I thought it would be interesting to create a 3d reference with Clip Studio Paint in order to correct, if necessary, small anatomical errors and have a correct reference for volumes and perspective. I hope this video will help those of you who have a little difficulty with this tool, which is actually quite simple and...

Absolutely beautiful! I really hope your videos deserved video! Have a good day❤
I love this movie
I haven't watched it yet, but I like the ref :)
I like how you incorporate reference texture images into the painting, gives me some ideas. Also beautiful work, bravo :)
Thank you! 🙏 Glad you like it! :)
the rotisserie chicken honestly is the funniest thing ive seen to date
😁
No chicken wings for this piece, Sebijy?
Nah, I did this one before Falin and the chicken trick :D
the emotion is beautifully conveyed
Thank you! :)
You have blessed my day and tomorrow, thank you
Thank YOU! 🙏🥲
wowzers

I wish I could draw as cute as you when I grow up
Thank you! 🥲 Wish you to reach your goals and more! 🙏
PERFECT OMG
Thank you! :)
와 너무대단해요...😍
정말 고마워요! 🙏 :)
Absolutely mesmerizing work
Thank you! :)
thank u so much
You're very welcome :)
0:40 beautiful reference picture
Agree! The beautiful Ann Sheridan :) (not sure about the photographer, maybe George Hurrell?)
WHY. ARE. YOU. SO. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD?!?!?!?!
Thank you! 🥲
@@Sebijy I just noticed something... Why are all your videos 8:22 minutes long?
@@Candlemakerr Because I re-use the same file in Shotcut, a kind of template I created (only replacing the images and video) :)
Simping for the texture
🙏 :D
This is too beautiful and really helpful! Thank you so much for creating this. I love Kaine and Nier Replicant! 🥹🩵
Thank you! 🙏 Glad it helps :)
The way he starts every single piece of work is actually crazy. I love it
Thank you! 🙏 Glad you like it :)
your art is so inspiring!!!!!! i want to start my own youtube channel too!
Thank you so much! 🙏 I wish you every success with your project!
😮😮😮❤❤❤
🙏❤ :)
Your art is truly amazing, It's inspiring me to draw anatomy and in this style for my next panting❤
Thank you!🙏 Happy to bring such good vibes and motivation! Wish you the best for your next painting 💪
wake up babe Sebijy just posted a new video
🙏 :D
how do u do that reference thingy? is there anything similar to that on CSP?
I'm using Pureref, a great program for displaying refs. You can set the program to always be above other programs on your screen :)
@@Sebijy tysm
the chicken gave me an anevrism
😄
I acc dont understand what you did withthe chicken layers
I use this technic to create "happy accidents" by adding interesting color variations, tints, texture, shapes, etc. :) Import your image, change the layer mode to lighten (or darken or else, do some tests) adjust the levels if necessary, use the smudge tool if you feel the need (to create some "painterly strokes") mask the layer (with an opacity mask) and paint on the mask to hide/reveal some parts (you can also decrease the opacity of the image if necessary) :)
I love your art
Thank you! :)
What do you use for keeping your references always on top of the screen?
Pureref, a great program for displaying refs. You can set the program to always be above other programs on your screen :)
I can feel the "Ahmed aldoori" influence, are thou a medsmap traveler as well?
Yep Ahmed Aldoori is one of my favorite artist and teacher and yes, I did the medsmap :D
Sniff sniff I smell an underrated artist
Thank you! 🙏🥲
*thinks about how much all the paint would cost* *cries in cant do digital art*
If you were to reproduce this illustration in oil, for example, in the same format, you think you'd need more than one tube (37ml) of paint each? Is that what you mean? ( maybe I don't get your comment ^^' ) I think that with a limited palette: Yellow ochre, Ultramarine blue, Cadmium red, Permanent alizarin crimson, Raw umber, Titanium white (Nicolas Uribe's limited palette) + Ivory black maybe , it's possible to reach a result close to it without having to finish the tubes?! I'm not sure but clearly it could be interesting to try :)
@@Sebijy I tend to use more paint than I need, and the canvas I would choose to use would probably be quite large so I would probably end up spending quite a bit haha

Bro is a reincarnated painter from the 1600s

Bro this is gorgeous, could you say the brushes you used? And also, where is the chicken sauce
Thank you! :) You can have the brushes here for free: sebijy.gumroad.com/l/ddrbs ...and the chicken sauce should be in the fridge...or here: unsplash.com/fr/photos/poulet-roti-cgcteFH-azk :D

amazing but i really need to know what's with the chicken

Because the character's design reminded me of chicken :D (but it could have been image of anything else with interesting values, colors and textures)
sebijy this is so beautiful... I try to paint like you but only crap comes out. Maybe if I follow your video as a walkthrough, replicating what you do, I'd learn to do like you
Thank you! 🙏🥲 I think it can help yes. Watching a video process while creating your own illustration but using the same process and trying to get the same rendering at each step is a good exercise. It takes time but it can help :)
@@Sebijy I have been trying to paint like that (the conventional way of rendering) but the result is always garbage. The way I paint regularly is by masking the shapes that will compose the scene and then going all in at rendering one of the shapes fully before moving to the next one... AKA: Painting part by part instead of painting the canvas as a whole and refining it
@@Sebijy You can actually see one of my paintings in my channel, but 90% of the other works don't come out as pretty as that one came...
@@Candlemakerr Yeah, I see what you mean. Try this method maybe: th-cam.com/video/3JS0hqZ9aCo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=9d7W9dATrKbZVZhl Check Ahmed Aldoori's youtube channel, it's full of tips and tuts from a great artist and teacher 👍
godlike stuff...wish i can draw like this without lineup....
Thank you! :)
Amazing... Please... you gotta help me. How do I cope with the rise of AI art?
Thank you! 🙏 :) I don't know what to say :/ I think it can help to focus on your projects first before thinking about AI or anything else.
@@Sebijy I think you're right, but I tend to overthink. Does AI art bother you, tho?
@@SteamGrace I don't think about it that much. I feel sad for the beginner artists who use it because they despair of not seeing any concrete results from their practice, thinking that their efforts are leading nowhere or too slowly. I wish them to stay motivated and patient, the results aren't always perceptible day by day, but they're there (a bit like growing, you don't see it day by day and yet one day you're twice the size you were when you were 8 :) )
How did the roasted chicken somehow actually help in the process. Teach me, magic mam.

Thank you! 🙏 Glad it creates such good vibes and motivation! 💪 Wish you the best in your art journey! :)
Wow this is amazing! I’m watching this to absorb information on painting and it’s working lol. What was the first step of the underpainting for, the solid brown? Was that to sketch or to influence the colors on top of it? Or something else?
Thank you! Glad it helps 🙏 The first step I'm creating the silhouette. A good silhouette (that describes clearly the action) is really important for me :)
@@Sebijy Thank you so much!
