Your art is so inspiring! Love the way you block the shapes in the start of your paintings 💖

Me too, I loved the anime and the manga too ^^
The program for the ref is called "Pureref" :)

LOVE IT! Have u ever been into sculpture? It’s like I’m watching a sculptor with 2D shapes! 😮 I like that u add just a bit of line work after the fact too! Q: What do u think of CSP? I have Apple also but I use Procreate. One feature I wish for is the ability to do curves on all the layers as a whole. Things I like is I can set the DPI to 600 & get a quite a few layers on small 1080x1920 canvases (not trying to print anything yet), no problem w/textured brushes, etc. As an artist, is it worth switching? Have you done any print work from CSP? I tell myself it’s just a tool & that satisfies my curiosity for now 😂 Much Love Sebijy!💗

      Thank you!
I haven't done any sculpting (well, not a lot I should say, maybe once or twice), but as you rightly pointed out, I like to build my paintings in a "sculpted" way and it's nice that you noticed ^^
CSP is my go-to program, the one I use the most
Concerning the possibility of making curves on all layers, are you talking about "curve adjustment"? If so, an "adjustment layer" should work
I can't really tell you about Procreate because I don't use it, but you can always try CSP for free and make up your own mind
As I said, CSP is my favorite program :)
The only other program I use for painting is Photoshop, and in terms of definition quality I'd say they're both the same
Yes, I've already sold prints and haven't had any negative feedback 👍

Find it interesting just how much you still use reference, despite your years of experience. totally not meaning it in a bad or offending way but, i always thought that at some point you'd just have painted soo many portraits that you could easily sell a piece totally from imagination

Yes, sometimes I do without refs ( as I did last time), sometimes (most of the time) I use one or more, and little by little I build up a mental library (or update it, rather).
I thought the same way at one time, but after seeing great masters such as Moëbius and other talented comic/manga artists use refs (not necessarily all the time), not forgetting one of my favorite digital artists Ahmed Aldoori (and so many others), I thought it was a bit like the "models" used by the old masters (Carravaggio, Da Vinci, Ingres, Van Dyck, etc.).
Most artists don't show or think about showing their refs (which are usually on another screen). I don't think they're trying to hide anything, just that they don't see the importance of it.
(PS: I think I remember Ingres going so far as to create a scale model of the scene he wanted to paint ^^)
