I would like to know where you make your digital drawings because I'm just starting my "career" as a digital artist and I would really like to know where I should do my digital drawings (btw, this thistle drawing is magnificent).
You mean what program you should use? Personnally I have a preference for Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop CC (2021) :)

Hey I’ve been a supporter of your work for a while and I’ve been trying to do studies on your work but I get confused in the beginning of your photoshop previews because I’m not exactly familiar with the program and I don’t know what brush you use in the beginning or at all I just guess and try to match whatever brush you’re using to the closest thing to it from the pack I bought from your store.
I noticed Japanese Brush pen isn’t in the pack I bought and a few others.
What program do you use?

@@eggflake_ui The first brush I use (and which I use mostly in this painting) is also in the CSP pack, it's called “asf 1”.
Have you downloaded the “Go-to brushes pack” folder (it's included in the “Essentials” pack if that's the one you bought), you'll find it easier to find the corresponding brushes I think.
If not, you can also download my free pack for PS and install it in CSP, so you'll have the same brushes, ordered in the same way, for the videos where I use PS: sebijy.gumroad.com/l/ddrbs
The “Japanese Black Brush” is in the PS tpl file, and you can't install tpl files in CSP.
But I converted the brushes from tpl to abr and then to sut (CSP file).
I've just uploaded the pack to the “Essentials” and “Go-to” brush packs (on Gumroad), so I don't know which one you have, but check the pack for the added brushes :) (if you bought the pack from another store, I'll update them tomorrow).
However, the “Japanese Black Brush” doesn't work in CSP as it does in PS. But personally, in CSP I use the “Dark Pencil 2” brush instead (or another one I'll be adding soon)

@@imcrimson8618 Depends, if you want to do portrait, I think starting by Loomis books is a good thing to learn a simple and way to draw with correct proportions and check out Ahmed Aldoori's channel, he got a lot of great tuts :)
@@Sebijy thanks! Im more interested in people than landscapes. Landscapes are pretty cool, but I don’t see myself wanting to dive into that initially. I love your images because of how ur using light/shadow. Really dramatic pieces and thats something I noticed I gravitate towards.

A little reflection I made from this-I've always relied on layers and clipping layers that I realized that I'm basically trapping myself in a cage of limitations, which prevents my art from improving further. By painting on one layer (excluding the backup layers), it would free the artist from trapping themselves in a false sense of limitations and help them focus on the piece as a whole. Using the texture overlays also reminded me that I should experiment more with my art and be free-I never realized how much I limit what I do in my drawings that it's stopping me from having any improvement. Your video process has been an eye opener to me (as cheesy and cliche as it sounds, it has been extremely helpful)

Nope, it's Pureref a great program for diplaying the refs. You can set the program to always be above others on your screen 👍

I started to dedicate on actually learning how to draw, I’m doing this for i think a weeks now and between my ton of drawings tutorials, youtube recommended one of your videos, and the moment i saw i already put in my head “found my artist inspiration.”
I don’t even think i have to say how good your drawings are, it’s like…hell, no words, just by looking at it you can say a million of words, i still have a lot to learn, but i hope to one day be able to do art like you do, even if learning it’s hard i still look back at your drawings and put in my head “No, it will be worthy.”

I think it can help yes. Watching a video process while creating your own illustration but using the same process and trying to get the same rendering at each step is a good exercise. It takes time but it can help :)
@@Sebijy I have been trying to paint like that (the conventional way of rendering) but the result is always garbage. The way I paint regularly is by masking the shapes that will compose the scene and then going all in at rendering one of the shapes fully before moving to the next one... AKA: Painting part by part instead of painting the canvas as a whole and refining it
