A Little Engine for a Bicycle from 1947 - Conservative Restoration
This engine was marketed after the Second World War to offer ordinary people the possibility of moving around, using it together with a simple bicycle. In the video, in addition to the restoration process, I will briefly delve into the history of these engines, illustrating the reasons for their birth and the context in which they emerged. While I will be restoring this engine, I will not be following a total restoration approach; rather, I will adopt a conservative method that will preserve its' lived-in appearance. The video will end with the completion of the engine restoration, while the second part will focus on its assembly on the bicycle and the related tests

Can a Radio Rewind Time? A Restoration story
The radio belongs to my grandmother. I found it among her belongings in the basement, and when I asked her who it belonged to, she replied saying it was a gift from my grandfather, her husband, and that they used to take it with them when they went on picnics. My grandfather is no longer with us, and my grandmother was very upset about the condition the radio was in. Without saying anything, I ...
Starting a Fiat 1100 After 30 Years
Starting a Fiat 1100 After 30 Years . I will try to start this car that has been idle for about 30 years. The car belonged to a person who rarely used it and jealously guarded it. After his death the car was abandoned and some parts were stolen. Later it was found in an old house during renovations and was purchased. Finally it came to this yard about 15 years ago and was parked, weathered to t...
Flashlight Restoration for a Bike from 1950
Flashlight Restoration for a Bike from 1950 This old flashlight, probably from the 1950s, was produced by Trehawk, and doing some research, it appears that the company is very old and also produced flashlights used during WW2. The video flashlight is a model that can be used on the bike but also as a portable flashlight, since it uses a battery inside and not the dynamo of the bike to turn on. ...

Old Electro Mechanical Calculator - Restoring
Old Electro Mechanical Calculator - Restoring In today’s video I decided to restore an Old Mechanical Calculator found in a flea market. It hadn’t some pieces and was covered with dust. The seller didn’t guarantee me if it could work, but I decided to give it a try and buy it. I didn’t want to plug it in before taking a look inside at first, I preferred avoiding any sort of problem. In this res...
Restoring An Old Crown Capping Machine

#restoration #rustyrestoration #satisfyingvideo Restoring An Old Crown Capping Machine. I have found in my under-stair this old crown capping machine. Considering its condition, at first glance, I didn’t realize what it was. I asked my parents information about it. They told me that tool was used by my grandparents to cap the bottle of the tomato conserves they made. It’s likely the crown cappi...
Restoring Telephone with a Rotary Dial

#restoration #rustyrestoration #satisfyingvideo I will restore a rotary phone with onyx structure About the phone: The telephone was produced by onix telmar in the 1970s. It was characterized by an external structure in onyx and a style that recalled the first telephones with dialing numbers with a rotary dial. The phone has been found in the attic, where it remained for more than forty years. ...
Nice to see a restoration done with some finesse rather than a vapour blaster.
Somebody PROFESSIONAL, who knows what they're doing!
Nem ligou pra vermos o funcionamento
I am impressed with your skill and even more with your attention to detail, most impressed ... thank you for sharing your enthusiasm for restoring these older machines ...
Now THAT was a well-made video. And a nice little engine. Seems to be not your first rebuild. Nice.
👍👍👍
A Fiat 850 was my parents' first car. I was small then and I look at the pictures of one life and dear people who have left. Greetings from Serbia.
True,not electric,cos the technology,not founded on thatera
I love the cake icing grease spooge application the best
My God, this is the coolest thing I've ever seen. I had NO IDEA these mods were available when Roswell happened. How ahead of their time. 60cc on a bicycle is INSANELY fast !!!! I would've given up 1982 Christmas to have one of these !!!
👍🏆🇧🇷
Abraços do Brasil!
Thank you very much! ❤️
Who owns the patent now ? Would be nice to put it back into production . 3 spd tyranny is nice option.
I don’t know why the company that produced it hasn’t existed for many years. It would be difficult to put it back in production since we are going to meet the electric. Consider that this engine uses a mixture of gasoline and 8% oil (in 1 liter of gasoline should be added 80ml of oil)
Just get a bearing removal tool or something else because you are taking a huge risk of deforming the metal by using heat like that... Those are small pieces of metal will heat up/deform very quickly. It only takes 250 degrees to destroy an engine while it's running...
Saudades. Parabéns pela postagem. Me trouxe grande alegria do tempo passado.
Thanks for the compliments! I was pleased that the video made you relive old memories ❤️
❤
Even got a Magneti Marelli spark plug.👍
l art de la restoration.😏
It’s a sealant for flat surfaces. The motor is 60cc
👏👏👏👏👏🇮🇹

Wow, great work! I kept being impressed by one specialized tool after another.
I would like to see him run.
Stay tuned!
I bet that old grease was still good and smelled great
I have my doubts about both things 😂
@@Ego.Reficio to be honest i dont feel that the greases we have today would stay usable as grease in the years ahead unlike this old mineral oil based stuff.
WHAT TYPE OF GREASE USED?
It is a low viscosity gear grease
Which acid did he used for cleaning carburetor please tell
Write me on instagram
Creative video, thanks :)

With these no driver's license is required in some states. Here in the state of Kansas still legal and no license is required

The motor will be started in a next video because I still have to restore the bike, the tank and the crown
In the next video I will put it into operation 😉
Wow.... it's amazing. The engine was still in good condition. It was a quick fix. I would like to have that car. It's so cute.
I would love to see it fitted to a bicycle of the same time period! cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
I’ll mount the engine on the bike that you see on the video thumbnail 😉
A very nice restoration indeed. I was surprised to see a non-Schnuerle two stroke still being made in 1947. It must have added to the cost of manufacture needing the dome piston and large cylinder head. Was it done for economy? The second thing - I was surprised to see the gearbox filled with grease. I was brought up to believe that gears should never be greased as once the grease has flowed out from the teeth it will never flow back, causing rapid wear. Wouldn't splash lubrication be simple since the gear case looks liquid tight? If the engine is to have little use that would not matter but it seems a pity to waste it when it could give so much pleasure to people if it was used.
The gearbox uses grease because it does not mount oil seals. I don’t think lubfrification is a problem, considering that grease tends to melt, this will help in lubrication. I don’t understand what you mean in the first point. Are you referring to the shape of the uncommon piston?
@@Ego.Reficio It's a high deflector piston design, whereas the Schnuerle loop scavenge was used by just about everybody after WW2. Apart from much better gas flow the advantage of the Schnuerle design is that the piston is simple flat top and the head is a simple dome, so cheaper to make.
The piston has that shape to improve the turbulence of the charge. Especially to drive the cool charge and unload the exhausted one. Consider that this engine uses a mixture of 8%. In one liter of gasoline we turn 80 ml of oil. This value is in line with the engines of those years, but is much higher than the two most common times, which use a mixture of 2%, (20ml of oil in a liter)
In the next video I will put it into operation 😉
Nhà tao đầy động cơ xe máy và các loại động cơ to động cơ xe tải và xe máy xúc và xe con
Mày làm động cơ máy xúc
That was very satisfying
Thank you!
Excelente.
👍 👏
The inside is clean thanks to the large amount of grease.
I think insert grease in the carter is an error. It has enaugh power.. is a little two stroke engine.. it’s a loss of power useless
The oil cannot be used in this engine, it does not use oil seal. Consider that with heat the grease tends to melt and will occupy less volume
Didn't even run
In the next video
SPLENDID MAESTRO
