- Starting a Fiat 1100 After 30 Years . I will try to start this car that has been idle for about 30 years. The car belonged to a person who rarely used it and jealously guarded it. After his death the car was abandoned and some parts were stolen. Later it was found in an old house during renovations and was purchased. Finally it came to this yard about 15 years ago and was parked, weathered to the point where many parts rotted away

Finally someone who tries to spin the engine with no spark plugs first, it's way easier and healthier for the engine to start like that.
Mine never starts without the spark plugs. Any thoughts?
@@mountainman5025 I referred to the fact that if a engine wasn't started for a long time then it's healthy for it to spin a bit to get lubricated and cleaned before trying to be started.

In a negative ground vehicle the negative side of the coil goes to the points and the positive side of the coil goes to the key switch going to the positive terminal of the battery. If you hook it up backwards the coil may not work without isolating the coils body from the car.

Da semplice amante di auto e motori ho guardato con gran gusto questo video perché la maggior parte dei suoi colleghi prende sti poveri motori, ci spruzzano gran spray dentro al collettore del filtro dell'aria poi giù di motorino d'avviamento fino a non poterne più... magari poi si avviano lo stesso, però... lei invece ha fatto una vera "revisione essenziale in loco", non so come definirla... MOLTO più rispettosa, oltreché professionale. Non chiedo se questa povera auto sarà oggetto di restauro perché ho paura a sentire la risposta. 😅😅😅 Complimenti! E buon lavoro!

Steam cleaner would do too!

For the rotten parts the ultrasonic bath does not help much. is very useful instead for cleaning the carburetor. when I start a car that has been idle for a long time, I prefer to do it the old-fashioned way, gasoline and brush!

The car body panels are heavily damaged. Restoring a car like this is not cost-effective.

Металл, что ещё. Ты состояние видел... Там не то что от кузова, там от лонжеронов даже и следа не осталось, только на запчасти можно разобрать, а кузов в металлолом..

I have never disassembled a hybrid car. I think it would be more difficult as there is the eletronic control unit that mainly controls everything. The electric motor part should be excluded and only the endothermic motor should be started. In any case I think it can be done but it is quite complex
Hai usato candele a filetto lungo, dove la Fiat 1100 usa candele a filetto corto, nella Fiat 850 hai usato candele a filetto corto dove montava candele a filetto lungo, anche per la 1100 non avevi le candele a filetto corto, come non le avevi a filetto lungo per 850 ??
