I was diagnosed with her2 positive breast cancer ,prior to treatment I had grown my hair long and the condition was good ,I did do the cold cap therapy for 3 cycles but sadly it didn't work, I was devastated, after treatment finished it did start to grow back ,but now I'm on Exemestane and this is causing hair thining, feel like can't win ,I did research and found that mixing Rosemary oil , castor oil , and coconut pil ,applying twice a week has 100% helped and it's all organic to
Thank you so much for this positive and informative chat. I now know what things I might or might not try. Having highlights and a new haircut is definitely on the cards. 😊
My hair grew back lovely after chemo however about 6 months later I lost a lot and it became very thin. Only thing I’m on is ibradonic Acid as had TNBC. I did start Rogaine mousse in Feb and have noticed I have more hair again. I was using it daily but now after 6 months use it twice a week and so far it’s still working
Wondering if tamoxifen interferes with thyroid levels or activity? My mom took it for 5 years and her hair did thin, but it was also like dry, brittle pine straw. Also, her fingernails were flaking off. When she stopped the drug finally the hair slowly returned to normal. Many oncologists and dermatologists are quick to dismiss this as hereditary patterned hair loss due to menopause. But if that were the case, then why are postmenopausal women who start these drugs experiencing this when they didn't have the problem before? It's not like these drugs cause virilization.
