This is my first tutorial so let me know what you guys think of it. Comment below on what tutorials you would like next.
Where are you 🤔
rest in piece bro
PLEASE COME BACK
Man this game looks like it would be fun. Trust me I know how long these games can take! I hope you’re still working on it and life hasn’t gotten too much in the way!
"My friend helped me out so big thanks to him" This friend then, went on to create one of the most beloved 3D indie platformers known as "Pseudoregalia" a year later.
Plot twist this was the inspiration of Astro bot
Please make more man I like the small robot boy!!!!
i think replacing the ground dive with a fully grounded roll instead would be a bit more fitting
Keep up the great work!😀
Where's my fav dev at? Please update us
Hopefully developing
Normally i like the Mario Odyssey style of semi open zones that have offshoots and secrets for additional platforming challenge. But the premise of a robot mailman lends itself really well to the idea of many linear levels. Each level could represent another delivery generatio he has to make
Tysm man
Hope a new video coming soon! :) No rush tho!
Come back
Hjjzjzjjzizizziizizizuuzge
Where did you go?
Cool way to break down your thought process on camera positioning. Nice work
Can you create another tutorial for blender 4 and explain the uv mapping and how it's done? I'm completely lost at texturing this tree..
this game is gonna be insane
"7 months" :( Hope you get back to it but I understand if you can't :(
Bro has ded
Legitimately worried this is true. I was regularly talking to him on discord, and followed him on Twitter. One day I noticed his Twitter was gone. I went to discord to ask him why, and he was offline. This was like 5 months ago and he hasn't been back online since.
@@MochaRitzdang so no more dev logs? I wish he could have given me his project I would have continued it
@@rexwillrise3965 no idea. I really just hope he's alright. If he decided to leave the internet and quit gamedev, then that's one thing, but I hope nothing bad happened. He was basically the only other indie dev I'd regularly chat with since we were both making ue4 platformers, and we planned on collabing on a project once our solo projects were shipped. Sad on multiple levels, I miss the guy.
that is really weird
@@MochaRitz You heard anything this year? He doing well, or have you not heard?
Hey @R1GBY, what microphone do you use because your mic quality is pristine and I can't make mine come out that. Do you use software to fix it up? Just what do you do? I'm basically wanting my channel to become something like what you've got. Except, only once my audio is better.
I miss the devlogs
waiting for an update
devlog#5 had a mail car in the thumbnail is that for future game development P.S I LOVE HOW THE GAME IS TURNING OUT
How do you make your blueprint line straight and pretty like that?
It’s a plug-in I believe
Amazing approach on the camera! Would love to see more of your technical solutions, it's very lective for fellow developers. Keep up the great work!
i'd suggest a giant npc, some sort of giant creature or robot thats face takes up most of the screen
I really hope goobi can get on switch!
Squash and stretch is a principle of animation and your trying to make the player controller as alive as possible! There doesnt need to be LOREeeeee for squash and stretch
Keep it up man!! im currently studying animation so i can do my Dream game and this inspires me deeply! keep it up!!
Call Goobi a goober in your next video
omg thank you so much!! the other video i was watching before was too quick and i couldnt follow along
Cool with NPCs, Also, When I try to play the demo, the game just crashes for no reason,
Game feel is soooo important. A good camera plays a big part in that.
Thank you for an awesome tutorial and explaining everything so clearly! Hands down the best tree tutorial for this aesthetic!
everything is fine but the death animation is weak
Hey R1gby I've recently beat the world record speedrun almost by a whole minute down to 1:37 in ur demo v2.0. One question when are you going to start level designing?
how did you stop the camera from following the player when jumping. I wanna do it in my game but i cant seem to find out how
Please do a camera tutorial
Do you have any tips or recommendations for tutorials on similar poof dust footsteps particles like that? It’s been hard to find content around toon style for this….
At 0:24, I noticed that one of the pieces of feedback was that it needed music. I actually write music and would love to make the soundtrack for the game.
Hey cool Devlog, thanks for sharing! FYI your discord link in the description isn't working anymore :)
Hi! You're game is looking great. But if you don't mind, can you make a tutorial about you rigged gooby? I want to make my own game inspired by yours and others. (I wont copy Gooby) But if you dont mind, then that would be extremely helpful. I also tried to make my own with animations but it didnt work out. Please, if you dont mind.
Hey I have a quick question that probably won’t get answered but would the game cost money when it releases
this looks so cool
