Worked perfect my man! Appreciate you much!
Glad to hear it helped. Nicely done!
Upgrading to LED bulbs is a huge improvement to the non-LED lighting. I have a '23 4R Limited, which I believe came with LED headlights and tail lights. I replaced all the other bulbs (DRL, fog, turn signal, backup, license plate, rear hatch, interior dome, courtesy, puddle lamps, and door bottoms) with LEDs. I think I had to use ones with built-in resistors for the turn signals, because otherwise they hyperflashed. Didn't replace the one for the glovebox though, I read that one was fairly difficult to access. All these LED bulbs can be purchased as a kit, which makes changing them very easy, and is well worth the improvement in lighting.
Nicely done on the LED replacements. I'm happy with the LED bulbs for the brightness and lack of heat the old bulbs would put off. If they are to ever fail, I'll update in the comments.
Your do know that if you touch the bulb with your bare hands, it shortens the life of the bulb, you should have use a tissue or gloves
Good idea to keep fingerprints off of the bulb. Can wipe it down afterwards as well.
Good job, nice work made it look very easy, note..on another video the guy mention not to put all 5 quarts in the Is200t only about 4.5 quarts
Appreciated. Technically it's 4.9 quarts, including the oil filter. Always check your oil and top off to what your dipstick is saying, assuming it's the factory dipstick. If you only drained 4.5 quarts, only replace 4.5 quarts.
Great video!
Thank you for the kind words.
t'es pas doué frère 😂😂
don't get it
I feel bad for the original brake fluid watching the engine get fresh oil put in yet again.
Appreciate your attempt at paying attention and catching me out. Brake fluid has been changed a year ago or so.
Possible to replace it without removing the wing?
In the video, you can't see the depth between the wing and the brake light cover. You could try with a thin screwdriver at an angle, but I went with the easiest route that would yield the least potential for stripping the screw heads: it was only 4 Phillips screws to take off the wing so that's the way I'd suggest taking off the brake light cover.
Great work, you just gotta corral those spills. 😄 I am frustrated with my dealer because they do not cover the oil filter when removing it on my RL. I asked them nicely a few times to cover it up when changing it and they just ignore me and let the oil splash all over the place, don't even wipe it down. I get the truck home and it drips on my floor for days. If I have to clean up after them, I will do the oil change myself correctly even if it cost the same or more for me to do it. I see that your oil life meter is like mine, pretty worthless. After 1 year and a few thousand miles, it still says 60% life. I would say after 1 year one definitely needs to change their oil regardless of mileage driven. The meter should reflect that.
Yeah, I bought the oil splash pad I'm going to use shortly to do my annual oil change. The lack of care by a random is why I do my own oil change, and I see why you would get frustrated with that. I agree on the oil life meter.
Guide was perfect thank you, was lucky enough to not drop anything in the hole. I had to do the same as you by using hot water to make the plastic expand and then slots perfectly.
Nicely done, and I'm glad the video helped. The hot water made it easy.
Should have pre-filled the oil filter. Proven to help with engine wear. th-cam.com/video/939WTeorBnQ/w-d-xo.html
You can fill the filter if you prefer.
Comment enlever le code de changement d'huile sur une Chevrolet Spark 2022
I've not worked on a Chevy Spark. I'm sure if you search in TH-cam you'll find someone who has and that video will help.
Well after a new fuel pump, filter, distributor, plugs wires and catalytic converters i tried to clean the injectors with this product because of a misfire that was still happening. Put it in and drove 100 miles. I still have a misfire. I guess I'll have to replace them. 😢
Bummer. Hope you get it sorted soon.
Currently doing this exact job. Awesome video, I’m using Amsoil on my change though.
Nicely done. I'm sure your Spyder will love you for many years for doing this for her!

@@Steven-zj2yw 🤭 just kidding
It's a pain when you had some background music you try and cover up with TH-cam's tools, but at least it allowed me to keep the video up. Thanks for watching.
Great video. Very informative 👍
Appreciate the comment. Hope it helps some folks.
Just found an easier way to get room to do better work if you disconnect the wiring to the wiper, 3rd brake light and the window heater and electrical tape the heater connect to the brake light wiring so you can pull more wiring out at the hinge where it snaps and then pull it all back through can easily get an extra ~ 6 inches makes a huge difference
Good tip, thank you
@@wellingtonviking Thank you! I've been enjoying having the rear wiper working thanks to your video. I've had my MK4 golf for about two years now and it has not worked the whole time I had it!
@@murderWhornets Amazing how much we never knew we would love the rear wiper until we don't have it.
Do you know if the oil pan is made of steel or aluminum for this IS200T?
I haven't had a reason to check as yet. Next time I change the oil in March I'll give it a knock with my knuckle and try and stick a magnet on it. Have you reached out to the dealer to see what they say it is?
@@wellingtonviking It's made of steel
Thank you for following up with that info.
Holy moly what a mess!!
Learning experience for all.
Did your new Bilsteins not come with a thick washer underneath the nut? When I removed the packaging, there was a really thick washer. I also got the bilstein OE sport replacement for the GLI
It just came with everything that shows in the video. Sorry, it's been a couple of years so I can't remember the specific washer that was included.
That’s definitely one way to do it!😃. Is this ‘easier’ than just crawling under the vehicle and draining the transmission fluid out?
Hey there, yes, as I mentioned in the video, I have a dicky drain plug, and didn't want to take it out, which is why I opted for the top end drain option.
@@wellingtonviking I appreciate your video. Just did this with my 1994 LS 400. Cheers!
@@andrearatkovic4048 nicely done. Great job keeping the LS 400 going. Well-built vehicles.
Thanks, very simple. Btw did you say “it’s over a year old”? Yikes, mine’s been in since before the pandemic.
Just have a look at it, and when it's dirty, change it. The time factor is really just in conjunction with the mileage, and how dirty the air has been around you while driving. If you don't drive much, and you're in a clean air area, it'll last longer than if you live on a dirt road or there have been wild fires around you, etc. Thanks for the comment.
when you check that fuse with a test light even with the housing blown like that does it have power go through?
The housing wasn't completely destroyed on mine. The metal female fuse holder that holds the male fuse legs was intact and in good condition. It looked worse than it was due to the fried plastic. If the metal is completely melted on yours, the light tester wouldn't work. If the metal pieces are damaged, it would be worth replacing.
@@wellingtonviking I think the metal female pieces are a bit skewed but a test light works on them.
@@vampir335 I'd look at it this way: if they are weakened and brittle, the whole part should be changed. If they still are strong, and just have some sort of superficial discoloration, I'd try a new fuse.
If you want to keep your warranty use honda filters people 😮
You have some wrong information there boss, at least in the United States. You can use a quality oil filter, even if not Honda branded, due to the Magnuson-Moss Act, from my understanding.
my crush gasket is showing after i screw the bolt back on is that supposed to happen?
The crush washer being slightly larger than the head of the bolt is ok. If it's the wrong size (too large) washer, it might not sit flat if it hits the part of the oil pan where it curves up, which would be bad.
Hi! I would like to ask if you use GL4 75W-90? Thanks!
Yes, the Redline MT-90 is GL4 75W90
Look, I’ve changed my oil on my vehicles over the years (in places & times) you just wouldn’t want to be if you had a choice… . Some days you catch every drop of old oil (& new), and other days you don’t. Some days a diamond, some days a stone… 🤷♂️. It happens. We learn from our mistakes the best sometimes. Nice video, and thanks. Sure, I cringed a tad when the old oil started missing the oil catch pan, but I can relate, and we all move forward 😊 . I’ve got a 2022 Ridgeline, and though I’ve been taking it to the dealer so far, I’m considering doing the oil changes myself again. Might save a bit of dough. Today’s prices for oil changes aren’t getting any cheaper… 🤢. Good job & thanks 👍😎🇺🇸.
Appreciate the comment. The messiest part is when you wrap the oil filter in the plastic bag, and, of course, if you don't have a no spatter pad for your oil drip pan. Outside of the mess, which, when you've learned from your mistakes, is less the next oil change, it's an easy oil change. Sticking your head under the hood a minimum of once or twice a year is never a bad thing, even on a newer vehicle. Changing your oil gives you a good reason to give your truck a closer look.
Great video, straight to the point and covers what I needed
Appreciate the feedback. Hope you're out road testing now.
Im getting no power from the fuse panel and wires also none from the connector harness
Let us know when you're tracked down the issue. Best of luck.
como va a estar el agua a 150 grados si a 100 hierve y se evapora, 90 grados y ya esta bien....
Sounds like you're thinking Celsius and I was talking about Fahrenheit.
Harbor Freight also has breaker bars.
Good tip. A Harbor Freight special could just do the trick.
@@wellingtonviking I've had mine for over 10 years now, and I have no regrets buying it full price. But I did splurge on the socket wrenches when it went 40 percent off. LOL.
@@ex8280 Sounds like a great splurge, especially when you find another use for them in the future.
Just pull old one off and it slides onto the splines , no need to warm it up
Great outcome.
Why all videos don't show how Lyft the car this car don't place to even change your tire
I have a separate video for that: th-cam.com/video/s0-Fut0PB18/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
I have hear good reviews about this product. It's recomended and not sponseored by few channels and specially by Mr. Scotty Kilmer. What do you think?. We do own a Nissan Sentra and a Kia Rio Ex GDI
I hope the recommendations of others keep coming without sponsorship: maybe that means the product will work. As I just used the product, I’ll check in in 6 months to a year from now to see if there is any noticeable difference. Initial indications are that the engine is purring along, and though subjective, feels like she’s a bit happier after using The 505 CRO.
Yeah, it’s too bad. They didn’t make that rectangular hole in the cover wide enough. It’s such a pain to take off that cover each and every time.
Would have been nice for the designers to think of the workers aye?
I'm trying to eliminate a check engine light brought on by a vacuum leak code. I found a pretty good code diagram, and it shows one vacuum line entering/originating at the air filter box. On my '03 golf ALH tdi, I can't find the port for the line on the air box. Any suggestions? Where is it?
I haven't tackled that job as yet. Did you end up finding what you were looking for, and can you share?
My OCD on keeping things clean free from oil has just acted up and I'm hyperventilating. Lol
I'm going to get a splatter pad for the next time to avoid the mess, and the physiological distress! Thanks for watching.
Thank you going to try this. Mine works when open but not when shut. (my spray is also leaking inside that's another days project) I can see my wired are cracked my boot sleeve has a hole. Going to try this repair
Best of luck. It's a tight space. When the hatch closes the bare wires are likely shorting out against either other wires, or the metal of the hatch. Good bonding experience with the Golf! Let us know how it goes.
I just snapped mine😂😂😂
So frustrating I know.
great video thanks
glad it worked for you
yes - thanks for posting! @@wellingtonviking
I've been using the same washer, that came with the truck for four years. No leaks.
I know some folks like to reuse the washers. If it works for you, great. The way I look at it is for a few pennies, not having to deal with a potential future drip is worth it for me every 12 months.
You should maybe install a fumoto drain valve. Makes it less messy
thanks for the tip

Nope. Added to my personal vehicle. No promos here.
After crawling out from under my 2003 alh and the oil mess that I call my own, yours looks brand new. 😂👌💪🏼
Clean California unsalted roads and a skid plate keep things pretty tidy in this area. Spoiled I know.
I've had AC problems for a year. Every time the car is stopped the AC would turn off... I couldn't find the fault, I almost changed the climatronic. Until I saw your video and one of the leaf fuses next to the one that burned on you was burned out. I change it and it works perfectly. Thank you so much!
Excellent outcome. Appreciate the comment, and glad it helped.
Same here. I replaced my whole fuse box to be on the safe side. Mine was very melted
Is the jack you are using a long-reach jack? I attempted to use my 3-ton low-profile Pittsburgh jack, but I couldn't reach the jacking point. I even stacked a 2 x 4, but the handle was touching the bumper, and I couldn't raise it.
You definitely have to get under there a bit. I'm using the Daytona DJ3000. Here's the link to the Harbor Freight site with specifications: www.harborfreight.com/3-ton-low-profile-super-duty-floor-jack-with-rapid-pump-yellow-63183.html
I have the same 3-ton Daytona low profile jack you have and I had to sell it on FB because it was not long enough to jack from the jacking points. I tried to jack it from the pinch welds, but there are plastic trim pieces covering up the length of the pinch weld that wouldn’t allow me to have the jack in place and place a jack stand on the pinch weld. Gonna go buy the long reach 3-ton low profile jack tomorrow.
@@FamousSASkater how did the long reach work for you? The full barnwood 2x4 (actual 2x4, rough cut, not nominal) got the car up enough for me (stock suspension) to slide the jack under, though it was still tight under there and the first pumps of the jack were small ones.
Where the dust cover?
