Why do people think that steel isn’t good past 30? I hunt on open water and routinely make shots 40-50 because divers don’t always decoy and swing wide. Are they always an instant kill shot? No but more likely than not they are.

All I’ve seen on the Muller choke tubes, I’m not impressed.

Break in is something you don't have to worry about. The first 4 or 5 round s will polish the barrel. All you need to do is keep the outside wiped down and lightly oiled to protect bluing. Enjoy your firearm don't over think it.

George, your assessment of deer rifles is very true, and extremely good advice.

The 308 won the world 1000 yard shooting competition in Mexico for over 20 years until the Weatherby 338 magnum was developed.

What rifle manufacturers won't tell you is if you have a 30 caliber magnum, because of heat, pressure, which causes erosion ahead of the brass, barrel life is around 500-700 rounds. Heaven forbid you shoot an ultra mag, barrel life is around 300-400 rounds. A non-magnum like. 308 or 30-06 can last a lifetime and take down game just as well.

There is NO SUCH THING as break in rifle or shotgun. You start out with a new barrel. Every shot you take wears the metal microscopicly for the rest of your life. If you live long enough and shoot often enough the barrel will wear out. Usually around 3000 rounds. If you calculate that number at the rate the average hunter shoots, considering barrel duration time per round, barrel life is 6 seconds.

When i brake in a shotgun i don't worry about the barrel. I concentrate on all the moving parts, such as springs and linkages and spring loaded catches.

Wrong on old dukl loads ,thety were 1 1/4 oz 4,5,6 at 1330 fps. That was a standard duck load and i know because all of us used them. Remember the winchester duck and pheasant loads 1 1/4 oz 4 or 6 shot

It's a waste of time and money. I always clean every single rifle i have bought before I shoot it and after I have got done at the gunrange. Sixty rounds will smooth out the bore just like hand lapped barrels. All the imperfections in the bore will be copper coated and THEN you will see how damn accurate it is.

You have the right approach. I shadow ban the trolls and never bother un-shadow ban them because psychologists say 2% of the population are deviants and life is too short to engage them.

I would love to see you compare Carlsons coyote and trulock predator or even just one of them. The goal is to see how #4 buck does at 75yds and even 100yds. There aren’t any good videos on the subject of longer range predator loads. The videos on the tube either don’t mention what choke or are just someone taking a long shot with a cylinder bore tactical gun. Long range 00 buck in a boar blaster or carlsons would be interesting. The 100yd thumbnail gets the clicks but we’re all let down by the details in their test.

You could apply most of what you just said… and also apply it to fishing! So many people inflate size of fish they caught and how well they did when they went out and so on and so forth… Great video! Wasn’t at all what I was expecting.

My wife bought mine last October for my birthday. The zipper broke 2nd sit. The zipper in your video looks way more beefy than mine. Overall the jacket was awesome. The zipper was garbage for the price point. First lite customer service is their biggest downfall.

I’m wondering if I should go with Bismuth or TSS / Steel Duplex loads in my 410 this search for Ducks / Geese? I’ll be loading my own, so the cost will be much cheaper.

Migra Timbers are actually a good stacked shell. 50/50 steel and bismuth, my go to shell for early season ducks on small ponds. Then I transition to something like a #2 speedshot for shooting the river and larger water. Looking at getting some Boss shot this year too.

I've got a very good but simple recipe for rabbit or squirrel or Quail. All of these things taste somewhere between white and dark meat chicken, not very strong. Here's my way, brown the meat very well on a cookie sheet in the oven, to give it more, richer flavor, then boil for about and hour in seasoned water. Then add in some rice based on the amount of broth you have, simmer long enough to cook rice. Serve with hot biscuits.

You said you are sticking with warchief- what shot for Michigan ducks/geese- I’m thinking 3 inch 3s will be good for ducks or geese?

Awesome vid sir, thanks. My personal procedure is clean first, take a shot, and clean. Then, I put cleaning things away and start shooting. One thing in all this that makes no sense is some claim breaking in a bore polishes it and leaves a slick coat of copper making for better accuracy. Then they clean with a copper solvent. Can anyone explain that thinking to me? A third follow-up question you could have asked was, "How did you determine that?" Courious how a couple guys said to break in the cheaper models. Boss has 3O% penetration means deeper wound ..while Steel has 3O% more hits :) more wounds :) so it doesnt matter which shot we choose, both has equal performance to bring the flying duck down :)

Very curious to see why this didnt happen in your previous video. Maybe a repeat with a kent fasteel vs federal speek shok is in order. I believe Boss' patterns are extra tight as I think theyre using the new wad they developed for warchief with it.

Very good George. That's the way you do it. Know what you mean about walking a lot i tested guns and ammon yesterday shot 2 boxes of 2 2 10s this is 50 shelles walked a lot. Great stuff George! I have been really happy shooting a Carlon's Cremator MR for anything from 15 yards out to about 35ish yards or so. I think its a great choke for hunting timber/smaller holes or if you're going to get some good decoying shots or close passing. The LR is definitely too tight for me inside 25yds, but if we're hunting an open field for something like Canadas, can't go wrong with it!

That's how it should be done. I see too often people drawing 30" ring, shoot pattern from 40' and count pellets from ring although pattern has missed it a bit. Then aiming mistake makes more difference than shell or choke. Shoot to the paper, then draw the ring around pattern and count pellets. Keep up good work! 👍

Great video. .715 construction would be light modified. Expressed as 3/8 choke in England/Europe if dealing w guns from there. Here, you will it marked on interchangeable chokes as Skeet II.

Very satisfied with my Mossberg 835 factory choke tubes....

I just bought the mini 850yd version. According to my GPS map, it's off by 2 feet at 836 yards. It was off by .1 to 1 yard on every bush and tree from 50 yards to 100. The speed feature cannot be changed from km/h, but who cares? The optics aren't as good as my buddy's bushnell one. He paid about 5 times as much.

How was the pattern uniformity of cremators vs. others that performed similarly. That mod had some a fairly wonky pattern that left some good sized voids at 40. Counts are great, but shape and distribution matter and I’ve found the cremators tend to throw pretty uniform circular patterns with steel.

Got a quaker boy brand called "the box". Paid $11.00 for it. I use that and a crow call I paid 5 dollars for. Works absolutely fine. And like you said I have a tool bag full of calls, and it's the only 2 I ever use for turkey.
