We could buy a nice house and raise our family comfortably in suburbia OR take a risk and do something extraordinary! Yep, you guessed it: we took a leap of faith, sold everything, and decided to pursue our dream to build our own home, comoletely off the grid, and live a more sustainable life. We have some exciting news to share with Y'all! Our precious new baby Boy was born this week. Mama and baby are doing well, and we are ready to hunker down and relax while we celebrate another birth, that of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We wish Y'all a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Before Baby was born, Justin finally got to work on the roof sheathing and made some good progress! As always, he figured out the process for hauling the Zip sheathing boards up to the roof and got to work installing them. It was pretty nerve-wracking climbing in the rafters, so Justin pulled out his safety harness and tethered himself to the ridgeboard to prevent accidental falls. Now that he has the process down to a science, the rest of the roof should be much easier to install! Of course, we are taking a short break for the holidays and for Lilly to recover from having the baby!
