Very nice. Sounds amazing. I have a 65 Caliente hardtop. Black on red buckets. 289, 4 speed.
A great resource for FE Ford stuff is "The Great FE Intake Comparo" by Jay Brown. He covers dyno numbers, flow and how each manifold performs on different displacement / power level FEs. Its my favorite FE book. 👍👍🤘🤘😎😎
It's my big dream in life to own this car, it's a pity that this dream will remain😢😢😢
A 1968 mustang is my dream but it will never be mine😢😢😢
I want a mustang, my biggest dream is a 1968 mustang😢😢😢
you are the luckiest man in the world to have such a mustang😢😢😢
It is the most beautiful car in the world😢😢😢
Read that book so many times as a kid. That intake is pretty cool. If you're into the FE's just keep at it. They're out there. Expensive but you'll find enough to piece one together. If money's no object I think a billet aluminum block are made at the Dove or Kunts and Craft(not called this now) but google you'll find them. I hope. I might be totally wrong I haven't looked in years. There are more like Holeman Moody which were building the last NOS GT40(later mk)from the original molds,wiring,427FE's,just amazing I didn't even think it was possible. Stapleton42 or 24 is the channel that had it.
Good for you. Brilliant move. We all hope the best for you.
The first-generation Ford Falcons will take many of the first-generation Ford Mustang parts. We all need to subscribe to help him keep this good car TH-cam channel going. In the 1960s Ford took 12 first-generation Falcons with 260ci V8s and ran them around a paved oval track at 100mph for 24 hours with no failures. You could upgrade the front suspension to 1963 specs. Looks like you are building up a stock, original car. That is a very nice Falcon.......
It reminds me of a 390 fe
No reason for the kit, all you had to do was to rotate the factory linkage 180* and put it back together. This is simply another product praying on those who don't know any different. Not dogging on you for not knowing.
Great vid ! ...thanks for sharing man ! cheers Jay.
I have read in a magazine from the late 70s -early 80s, and I don't remember which one. but it stated that the first few 428 cobra jets had 427 heads on them, casting number C3AE-6090-J. anyone know anything about that. I still have the magazine, but I have quite a few of them finding that article would take a while.
When looking for an AOD, does all the AOD'S have the same bellhousing that will fit my 351W or do I need to look for one in particular?
There are AODs that are made for the Modulator motors. The best way to know if it will fit your 351w is if it’s a 2 bolt starter case. Don’t forget to take the starter as well, it’s a nice upgrade!
I just came across this video and thought I'd comment. I remember that car. I was there one day after you. Someone pulled the motor but ended up leaving it there. Turned out it wasn't a 428. I would've bought it if it were. At some point the motor was swapped for a 390. No "A" scratch on the. block. No"1U" on the crank. Not even a 428 flex plate on it. I managed to get some pulleys and brackets off it. I was surprised that you didn't take the air cleaner. That would've been the first thing I looked for. Unfortunately, it was gone when I got there. Glad you came out okay. gotta be careful when it's hot out there.
Great video. I like the happy ending success cruise!
Thanks! it was a blast to finally drive it.
Thanks for posting. Rebuilding my 390 out of my 66 Tbird. I took the engine out to replace the exhaust manifolds and now im rebuilding.. typical lol. Subscribed.
Haha it happens, but it will be better than before!
I am proud of you, brother, in your decision and your channel, which has encouraged me in my restoration of my Texas 63 Galaxie. May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you. ❤
Thank you, much appreciated, God bless!
I'd be tempted to roll some new bearings in that old girl .
I would’ve put new bearings but I’d really want to measure the clearance to make sure i wont damage the engine. In this case I’d rather just run it for now and do a proper rebuild later
I have 69 Ranchero 351w with an FMX and would like to convert to a AOD, Can you provide any tips?
Check out the AOD swap with my 68 Torino. Very very similar to the 69 ranchero. It will be an easy swap!
@@OmarRamirezGalaxie Thanks, I watched the videos. They helped a lot!
Hey, congrats on that man. Cars will always be there. Take this opportunity and make the best of it. I dream about buying a big warehouse in SoCal somewhere and inviting all my friends to come there and build cars. I’ll let you know if it happens! I have some investments that are doing really well and I’ve put my R code Galaxie up for sale, and we’ll see. I’m thinking San Diego, maybe.
Much appreciated! I have been thinking about the same idea. Buy property where I can buy a building pre made for cars, add some lifts and I’ll be good to go. Would be cool to have a group!
@@OmarRamirezGalaxie Yeah. Problem is they are so expensive, even here in Arizona, but if you had a few guys together and they didn’t have to worry about making the rent and they pooled their skill sets to make really cool cars, I mean that’s like my dream.
Outstanding developments Omar!!! I will always be watching for your videos!
Much appreciated! I'll do my best to keep putting out content.
Hey bro. How come you don't have the center consel I notice it's an Xl. did you order carpet with foot wells ?
Correct I do have the center console but I was waiting to get the rear tray panel as well as the kick panels to paint them all the same color. I think I ordered it with the foot wells since it does dip down
You will make a great p a.. Your precision in working on cars shows your careful thought process that will serve you well in the medical field.
Much appreciated! I'm excited to start this new chapter!
Thanks for the update, good luck Omar 👍
Hey, I’ve got a question. Did they make a 1966 390 interceptor
Was wondering what happened. Get your masters and then you can get your cars back on the front burner. Good luck!😁👍
Life happens Omar. Do well in school. Besides 6-8 years go by so fast.
What year of Torino do I need to get a gas cap to for this new gas tank on my galaxie lol. I was digging through the videos trying to find it the other day
@@sammyvices2547 the original gas cap for a 68 Torino is what fits the spectra tank. I went crazy looking for one. I know the modern locking caps work as well but I don’t like how they’re big and have to unlock every time to fuel.
@ thank you and good luck on your journey. Don’t worry once your established how you want too be you can get back to the cars bigger and better then before
Good decision on your school , the car's can be a side project for long term .
Congratulations on the school acceptance ! The cars can wait. I’ve always looked forward to your insightful comments and instruction as it’s put me in a good direction with my ‘64 Galaxie convertible. You did well with us , you’ll do well with your future patients. Wish you well on this journey, Omar .
Congrats !
Making a better life for yourself whilst making life better for others? Don’t ever apologize for that. We’re obviously going to miss the car content but I doubt there’s a single subscriber out there who isn’t rooting for you! Congrats man. Now you make the jaunt up to Laguna Seca easier!
Well done Omar, good to see you getting your priorities right! Great to see your face and appreciate the update.
Thank you, appreciate the support!
Congrats
Congratulations!!!
Much appreciated!
Congrats!!
Congrats sir! Your AOD video helped me make the decision to go with a 351w roller motor and AOD for my 61 Fairlane. Thanks for the inspiration 👍
Very cool! I love the easiness of the AOD. And that extra gear is definitely needed
Congratulations, excellent move!
Much appreciated thank you!
Hey we can support you by watching and rewatching your videos. Love checking out some junk yards. Your vids have helped my confidence on my 390 rebuild
Very cool! I’ve been itching for another engine build, definitely making plans for the future
Congratulations brother!!
Much appreciated!
Awesome man! Being a project planner for multi-million dollar chemical projects I never did have time to dedicate to TH-cam even though my instagram followers said they would love more detailed videos of my Galaxie. Instagram is a lot quicker and easier to post if you don’t overthink it and get too crazy with the editing.
Haha yes TH-cam takes a bit more time to record and edit the videos. Surprisingly I’ve made a lot more friends on here than instagram which is why I like TH-cam more but lnstagram can definitely be less time consuming. Always love seeing the galaxie!
Fantastic news!!! 🎉congratulations 🍾
Thank you! Much appreciated
Congrats Omar! Wishing you all the best. Hope you were able to hang onto your cars. I enjoyed watching you dive into them and always doing quality work. Good things!
Much appreciated! Yes I still have the projects and definitely do not plan of letting them go. I don’t think I’ll find on that easy anymore. These cars are getting scarce
Glad to hear you are making this choice to advance your life and pursue further education in a field which enjoy. The cars will still be around. What transmissions did you pair up to the FE block? Good luck with your studies man
Much appreciated! I put a C6. The 64 galaxies never came with it but fitting it to the car is very easy. In the future it would be sweet to do a transmission with overdrive !
@OmarRamirezGalaxie thanks for the response. I have a 63.5 galaxie that I've been working on. In the middle of the 445 build and wanted to put a TKX 5spd in it but it may be easier and more cost effective just to do a c6 swap. The build cost is quickly racking up.
Thanks for the update Omar... Congrats on being accepted into the Masters program. You made the right decision. You are building your future. There will be plenty of time for cars after you get through with your schooling, and you will have more money for parts LOL. I'll be watching for the video from Arizona, and I'll keep checking in to see if you post other videos. Good luck...
Haha yes, it will be much easier to get these cars on the road! Much appreciated
Good luck!!
Appreciate it!
Good luck Omar was wondering where you had gone, the classics will still be there n waiting for you. Look forward to some junkyard crawls
Good for you! Best wishes! Use your time working on your car as therapy with the pressure of school and work. You will succeed!!! Thanks for the videos!
Haha yes that’s a good outlet to destress. Much appreciated!
