You should read “the different story”. It’s a different timeline that Homura went through, and it gets much more into the relationship between Mami and Kyoko, as well as their backstories. It’s my favorite offshoot story from the original series.

Definitely read Another Story, you will appreciate Kyoko way more… light Spoilers, but it made me look at Mami a bit differently too. Like Mami knew what happened to Kyoko and her family, thus showing Mami that making a wish on someone else’s behalf, is very dangerous, and yet and still, Mami all but encourage Sayaka and Madoka to be magical girls, which is questionable in and of itself, but to let Sayaka make a wish in Kyosuke’s behalf was… a choice.

Rebellion is the kind of the verse of homura where she burdens her sorrow . Stuck in her desperately void . But i guess the walpurgisnacht movie will be the final resolve . Even if they said its "a new chapter" .

kyubey wanted madoka to become a magical girl so she can turn into a powerful witch. he didn’t know she would essentially become a god by the end of the show, he didn’t know that would be her wish. he wanted her to become a magical girl so she can become a powerful witch, and essentially destroy the planet, which would give the universe a lot of energy. kyubey wants to save the universe, sacrificing the magical girls, however madoka wants to save her world, sacrificing herself, and homura wants to save Madoka, sacrificing everything to do so.

Madoka magica is one of those anime where you don't get the full effect of the story until you rewatch it

So many times, I've had to tell my friends not to fall for these scams! They're always like "normal anime figures are so expensive and this one is really cheap, and it still looks good!" but I have to tell them that the pictures are of the real figure and they won't get that high quality ordering it.

Madoka Magica is by far one of my favorite animes and Rebelion is definetly on my top 3, the "bad (good)" ending, everything its just perfect

ask my 12 year old self. they would classify it as horror, despite being the . . . little shit that had the empathy of a shark. i actually felt disturbed by the show. like how most horror did to may.

I find it interesting that Homura’s actions are 110% beneficial to her motive and help pretty much the whole cast

I love how madoka’s solution in the end is to try and protect her friends. Spoiler warning: And,in rebellion Homura proceeds to try and help Madoka even then. In her own messed up way.

I think the whole homuts dimension thing was suppose to be a planned set up to rebellion and maybe explain how her labrynth is so complex compared to other witches in the series. Maybe the mangaka thought since homurs battled an ente whom can create a dimension with her magic, down the line it explains how homua was able to make her labrynth so realistic.

I have a mix of figures in my display shelf thing. Some real Nendoroid, some simple acryllic standees, one figure that cost almost 300€ (preordered a second one already), some Youtooz and then some figures that ranged in price from 8 to 80€. Though, the import tax makes even those more expensive. Because I buy through Mecca Japan. And direct imports are cheaper generally, but if the customs guy is like "Yea... let's make it expencive" then you're kinda fucked. Like, for some I didn't even need to pay any customs, and then for others I paid their price again. Luckily the 280€ Kurumi Figure was seen as an artistic sculpture, so there was only little customs. But then my recent set of figures was classed as toys and customs hate those for whatever reason

Three years late to the party, but here are the answers to what you didn't understand. Entropy is the IRL physics concept that all things tend toward disorder, and entropy is leading (in billions of years) to the end of the universe. Kyubey's race figured out that the angst of preteen/teenage girls is incredibly powerful, so powerful, in fact, that it could reverse entropy and help save the universe. So he harvests the energy of young girls' angst in the form of grief seeds (although apparently he can also gather energy as they transform into a witch). The thing is that Kyubey never lies. He deceives the girls by omission, but everything he says has to be true. So when he promises them a wish for turning into a witch, he can't go back on it. Also he thinks that they should be willing to sacrifice themselves to prevent the heat death of the universe. He doesn't understand why they wouldn't. And because Homura has tried a huge amount of times to save Madoka, somehow every time Homura tries and fails to save her, that compounds how powerful a witch Madoka will become when she does fall to despair. So she is extremely attractive to Kyubey since her becoming a witch will fulfill his quota of energy all at once. Kyubey doesn't understand why she's such an attractive prospect (since he doesn't understand Homura's powers), but he just goes with it. So he's pretty much willing to grant her any wish in order to get her to become a magical girl. He just never realized that her wish would change the world so much that he'd never get the energy from her, but he was already locked into his promise, and is forced to grant it. The thing I find most interesting about Kyubey is that he isn't really evil. He thinks that the universe is more important than a single girl's life, and he feels the girls should also see it from that point of view. He omits truths in his explanations because it's more convenient for him in order to convince girls to become magical girls, but he'll tell them everything when asked, and it will be the absolute truth. By his own values, he isn't lying. They're at fault for not asking.

i love this anime so much❤ i'm new to it (im on episode 4). watched episode 1-3 the entire night in an exam week. and i'm planning on watching the side story and movies later on when i'm done with the series. i honestly decided to watch it since it's one of the old underrated animes. and also because of the fnf mod, u just made my day by talking abt madoka magica (i don't think anyone does). and yeah, it's horrifying (especially when Charlotte ATE Mami's head then her body).

i would argue that the point is that however tragic it is to us, madoka did get her happy ending. she gets to save everyone after watching what she perceived as her own inaction cause her friends' deaths, she gets to save all magical girls that were ever created and would ever be created, and she gets to protect everyone she loves outside of that. like she said to homura, while it would be a while until she talk to everybody again, she would still get to be around everyone all the time. it's obviously sad and lonely in a way, but i think that if i were madoka it would be all i wanted too.

i love this anime so so much, the absurd amount of fan service does bother me in areas but near the end i can just block it out. I do hope it gets a 2nd season but i dont have a lot of hope sadly :(

8:09 What’s even more interesting is that watching the show and movie back to back Madoka says she’s ok “because she can see everyone” and how happy she is to finally know how true a friend Homura is because she can see all her sacrifices and care. In the movie she specifically states she could “never go so far away that she could never see anyone again” NOT “somewhere so far away no one could ever see her”. It’s such a tiny detail but it makes both things true: both this movie conversation AND the acceptance Madoka has with her actual decision.

I saw how American houses are made. Yeah, it's kinda understandable they often collapse but nobody can get rid of floods. Not even Japanese and German engineering can prevent it. Anyways, hope your life turns out well

i bought a knock off figure once, it cost me around 80 dollars, while the originals is like 400 dollars. honeslty, most people that get into my room and see it always think its real, even i the first time seeing it feel like real, but i notice its fake when i go to figure store and check it like really close, at the end, i dont really regret buying it, since 80 dollar for almost same as 400 dollars is crazy, plus i only put it in glass case with LED, so not alot people can notice its fake
