Do you have any videos of trout caught while bass fishing. Its okay fishing better than work anyway
Fishing with problems is better than the best day at work for sure. I do have videos posted catching king salmon and trout while bass fishin but im not sure which ones they are.
Dang! That’s rough. Keep pushing! It’s only up from here 💪🏻
Thought I replied to you, I have my boat in the shop now, bought a new rope so my boat doesn’t take off on its own again and bought a new jerkbait. Things are looking up! 😂😂
Way to persevere! The good days make up for these days. I started looping my launch rope around the front seat post. I Like that I don’t have to reach down and unhook it from the eye. Just a thought.
@@JVig77 I might do that, gotta figure something out cause I dont wanna deal with that again. Haha. Thanks for the view and comment.
We've all had some of those days bro. So sorry to hear about the accident! Thoughts and prayers!!!!! I love those old Rangers. Reminds me of my old 362V. Caught a lot of "A-Rig" fish in the old girl! I miss that boat!
@@butchmontgomery3595 thanks man, I love my 374v but I have 2 issues with it, the rod locker doesnt fit longer than 6’6” rods and the deck doesn’t go all the way back to the helm. I damn near fall off the short deck every trip. Haha. But its one of the best hulls Rangers made, so Ive been told by quite a few people. With a 150hp engine and a 27” prop I hit 64mph, switched to a 23” due to ventilation issues and can still hit 60mph by myself when the wind is going with me on glass. Im plannin on sellin it to get something bigger when my pass to Folsom is up in March. Hate to part with her but I want more room.
That catfish eating the jerkbait was epic. Too bad you couldn't net him. I caught one that 11 pounds last year on a spoon and I thought I had a record bass... lol.
Haha thats happened to me so many times. All my biggest fish are catfish lol. I got a 9 on a drop shot, a 7 on a swimbait, in 1 day got 30+lbs for 3 catfish at Clearlake lol. Im starting to think im just fishing wrong. 😂😂
Wow. What a day. I have also had a few days where nothing went right. Had a day when my trolling motor prop fell off and same day hit a rock and dented my engine prop up.

I've had to go swimming after my kayak before the wind blew it off the shore while relieving myself .
Hopefully it wasnt in winter. I sunk a boat in January at Berryessa before and had to go swimming. Wasn’t fun. Hahaha.
No it was in May on Camp Farwest. 20 mh gust ,still cool swimming in the lake in my tightly whities. Did you get the boat back ?
@@jasongundros1422 That sucks, glad you got it back. I was sunk a Champion bass boat and even though it sunk it stayed just below the surface. I grabbed a rope, tied it around the pedestal seat and drug it as close to shore as possible. A passing trout fisherman went and got DF&G and he came out with a water pump. My bro and I had to get in the water and push up on the boat until the pump got enough water out of it to float again. Super rough conditions on the main body that day, I hit a wave doin 80mph and launched my boat, when it hit the plug popped out. Launched outta Cappel cove and made it to the narrows. Started fishin when i got there, heard a buzzing sound from the bilge, looked back and the whole back of the boat was under water. The water looked smooth until I hit main body, the 1st wave I hit completely launched to boat outta the water, even the prop was out of the water. Slammed suuuper hard when it came down.
Great video, what size is the Boggs lure maker? They have 4 sizes.
It depends on what size of A-Rigs you want to make according to the wire diameter. I only make/use Flex rigs which is a 0.035” diameter wire but have made up to 0.040 for striper fishermen. The one I use is suited for both sizes of wire, PN#430207 on Barlows Tackle’s website.
So the .040 isn't considered the flex? I got both sizes.
@@hawghunter2024No, the flex is .035, it doesn’t sound like it but going from .035 to .040 is a pretty big difference in the diameter of the wire. A lot of anglers consider the .040 to be a “Normal” size rig. The body of water I fish has high pressure on the lake and is super clear, normally 10+ ft of water clarity so the smaller the wire the better for people around me.
Ok. The lakes I fish most of the time are highly pressured so I like the thinner option. Thanks for responding. HAWGS!
@ Tight lines man.
What up homie! Glad to see you doing your thing man! I haven’t been out in a while but plan to soon. I need to get some content out.

Nice rig!
@@mattperry6965 Thanks man. Appreciate it.
Is there a time of year / water temperature where the 3 wire works better than a 5 wire?
@@bobbarton4619 Ya know there’s only 2 times outta the year that most people throw A-Rigs. Its right now and around spawn time, its when there’s a ton of baitfish. Honestly, I know when to start throwin them when people start ordering them haha. Ive heard the smaller, 3 wire rigs work better for bodies of water that have constant pressure on the fish. I always throw the 5 wire though, I’ll have to try the mini 3 wire. I’ve thrown the mini 3 wire just to make sure it swims correctly but always find myself going back to the 5 wire.
Great A-rig Would love to have 1

@@rudyz558 Thanks man, I have other A-Rig videos where I don’t screw up so much on my channel as well. I’ll make other videos soon where I dont screw up showing other tips/tricks.
Did you start making a-rigs for cost-effective reasons to make a custom lure or for fun ? The splitring keeper is freaking genius dude. I enjoyed watching it.
@@jasongundros1422 I bought my first A-Rig for 20$ and within 5 casts an arm pulled out. I was pissed at the lack of quality which is why I use single wires for the secondary arms, so there’s no way the arms can fall out like the crimped ones. I knew I could make something better, showed a couple of people who showed a couple of people and it just snowballed. I hate getting ripped off, I hate that these things are 25$+ for a few wires, a few blades and some swivels. So I made my own.
What size crimping sleeves did you order from Amazon? I have a roll of .032 wire I have from barlows and was wondering what size crimping sleeves you recommend
@ The wire I get is .035” and the crimps i get are .037” inner diameter. You have to be careful when buying crimps, some use ID=Inner Diameter, others use OD=outer diameter, some use inches, some use mm’s so once you find a crimp that works for you order a bunch. Haha. I have soo many of the wrong size due to not paying attention. You use a smaller diameter wire than I do so order it just slightly bigger than the diameter of the wire.
Awesome video! Need to get a couple from you.

How do those swivels hold up on the blade?
@@Ballin21 To keep the costs down I buy some of the least expensive barrel swivels I can find honestly of Amazon. But there is zero stress on them, I always tug on them pretty good before I add them to the rig, cause once they’re on theres no getting them off. Id rather they break in my hands than on the rig.
