Looks like your just down from Browns Ravine?
In this video here I started out on the Peninsula on the Granite Bay side then I went up the North Fork. The deeper ledge spot is diagonally across from Granite Bay where that water pump house is at with the pipe going down to the water. Then I tried a number of other spots up to Anderson Island and finished my day on the rock island tops behind Anderson Island.
I’m hot, I’m hungry… didn’t bring my lunch, what’s with the bugs, I want a slurpy, and I’m cranky. Entertaining video man! If Mars Inc saw this it would have made a perfect Snickers commercial.
@@thnd-uo4vp That is hilarious. 😂. Yah when I get hot n hangry I turn in an absolute monster to be around. Start whining like a big ole baby. If I had a ladder on my boat I’d be jumping in the lake thats for sure. Without a ladder im afraid I wouldnt get my ass back in the boat. Hahahaha.

Some areas at folsom are 5mph because there are huge boulders under water. A year ago I was fishing one of the creek arm at Folsom and a 19foot boat smash into a huge boulder. Dude was going 15-20mph. Loudest BOOM ever heard in my life.
@@dangkhang9479 I can understand that, right after the 5mph buoys up there in front of the power house area there are several islands in the main channel. Same on the other side of the channel when the water levels come down. I just wished when the lake was closer to full pool they’d remove that 5mph or scoot it back more. Close to full pool all those islands/boulders are 50+ft underwater. Those island tops when the water level drops are awesome spots for flukes. They have the State Parks guys out there every day marking rocks with buoys, wouldn’t take them long to scoot the 5mph zone back when the water level is high. But I 100% understand your point, ive come across huge boulders 200+ yards off shore before out there and have ran in to some. Luckily it was with my trolling motor though. Hahahaha.
I hate getting them in the eyeball. You are 100% right on changing up the color.
I'm dong this now on my 375. I laughed so much because I felt your pain. I wanted to find the designers too and kick em in the teeth for this concept as well. I'm having a problem remembering what hoses go to the fuel selector valve. If you remember and could share that with me I would be very appreciative. Thanks for the video and the confidence boost. Take care.
Great job again in rough condition’s. You’ve seen my boat. I don’t do to well in the winds. My spot lock trolling motor makes it okay but the waves and bouncing kills me in my tracker. I tore em up pretty good on Friday on those buoys near Folsom point. Got some nice 2 and 3 pounders. Finished best 5 at 13 pounds 7 ounces.
@@Bassmandnz Dang you putta beatin on them!!! Good job man. 👏It was so windy out there, I used Ai to take out the wind noise so it doesn’t seem that windy but that was only like the 2nd or 3rd time my boat took on water from waves out there. 13lbs 7oz’s a fantastic day out there!!!! I was out this last Friday too and had a day filled with dinks, got 7 dinks and 1 keeper. I got all the dinks in less than 20ft and the 1 keeper at my last spot in 30ft…they’re still deep hahahaha.
@@proambass8027 I was actually getting them in like 15 to 20’. Seems like the bigger ones may start chewing now that the water is cooling. I’m expecting to see the water start dropping more after Labor Day. They’ve been letting it out slowly over the past week to keep the natives happy but it will start dropping fast now. I hope we have a good rain year.
@@Bassmandnz Oh wow really, I musta just been at the spots with all the babies. Hahaha. I was up the South Fork and thats not my favorite area lol. Hopefully this week i’ll be able to hit main body again.
@@proambass8027 Good luck! I know you’ll get em!
@@proambass8027 Hey man. You’ve been out lately? I keep forgetting to ask you if you want to exchange numbers when we see each other. I’m wondering what the Granite Bay launch looks like and if you’ve been lately. Getting pretty bored in Browns but the fish are biting and the ramp is much better than last time I was at Granite Bay. Whacked em pretty good in NY Creek Cove last Sunday with no real size though. Break out the Berkeley Finishers. They were smashing those over rock piles in 25’
Similar issue with the jig, a lot of the bass are ripping off my tails on the trailers. I’ve been using the sp pointer 90 and a small blade bait. I can’t find much size lately. My top water bite was odd also, caught two by the tail. I think they are slapping it because I’ve missed so many bites.
In the last month I’ve actually done OK in the size department, close to a 3 or bigger on almost all my trips. Wish I could get a limit of 3s or bigger though. They’re still deep which makes for a pretty boring video due to jig/drop shot fishing so I keep trying to locate fish with other methods but have to go back to finesse after failing lmao. Ive been throwing top water like crazy too and cant even get bit, at least you’re gettin’em by the tail. 😂😂. Thanks for the view/comment.
That point and cove in the S.Fork is one of our favs... glad to see there's still fish there. As always, thanx for keeping us willing to try Folsom...it's 7 mins from my house and we have a love/hate relationship with that lake. Your vids really help!!
Glad to hear it, I have the same relationship with Folsom. It’s just so close to me which keeps the costs down and allows me to go every week. If I could afford to go to other lakes or the delta id go for sure hahahaha.
Man I’ll get a GoPro and post some videos on it during spring, probably the best lure at Folsom. I’m sorry that you’re struggling so bad on it. 😂 Also try a mid stroll by that bait, get a 3/16 1/0 jig head with a Yamamoto scope shad, also watch Tyler reel fishing video on it. It will be killer with all that baitfish, I would try it but I’m busy hunting. GL!
I’ve talked to a couple guys and they gave me a couple different heads to try, a yamamto football head with the ned baits etc…so ill give that a shot. I thought about throwin a strolling rig but I kept getting bit on the drop shot so I stuck with it. Ive watched so many vids on strolling including Tylers, i love swimbait fishing so ill get the strolling down, I kinda already do that throwing regular swimbaits. Dood if you ever get the time or interest you could start a outdoor TH-cam channel, with the different amounts of fishing, different lakes and hunting you do I’d imagine you’d gain some followers pretty quick. You’d get the younger viewers as well as adults cause it’s really awesome to see the younger generation so involved in the outdoors. Its getting rare, definitely being raised in a good home. Keep it up man! 👏 👏
Drop shot is great summer time set up. 👏
I’ve never drop shotted schools of baitfish in open water before so that was fun. Thanks for the view and comment!!! Tight lines.
Great job again! It was good seeing you out there that day. I always seem to beat in by about a half hour. I went Saturday and the bite was really good around that flat in Browns where you saw me. No giants but I got into a school of large mouths by the marina. Weird to catch 5 Largies in a row with no spot mixed in.
Wow, getting that many largies in a row is awesome!!! I’ve never done that out there. I was out on that same area Friday, got 4 in that area. No giants either. I try to get out sooner but 6am seems to be the earliest I can get there. Hahahaha. Always good seeing you out there, appreciate you talkin too. Tight lines man.

Great job! I hit Browns last Saturday and hammered em pretty good on rock piles near the Hobie Launch. You can catch them on the piles marked with buoys a little bit shallow but the piles not marked in 30’ all had nice fish on them. That Panorama 6th Sense 3” shad on a drop shot fishing vertically using my down imaging was the key for me.
Thanks man. I actually hit those rock piles next to the Hobie ramp, I picked up fish in 18-25ft but couldn’t get any of them to bite. I even tried top water on the rocks there and nothing. I just bought some of those Panoramas so ill try them this week. See ya out there man!!!!

We're not tourney fishers, we just like bass fishing. We mainly fish the Delta but your vids have us still trying Folsom which is 5mins from our homes in Folsom. Thanx for the insights!!!
Thats awesome man, there are some good bass in Folsom. As you know it can be a super tough lake to fish. But with the cost of everything being so high if I want to fish I gotta stay close to home. I love the Delta but the gas alone makes it to unaffordable for me cause I like to chase tide. I miss frog fishin though, Folsom can be awesome though.
Great job. The lake can be tough at times for sure especially with the heat and water dropping. I did pretty good near Browns Last week around the island on a free rig with a zoom trick worm.
Nice man, I did good last Friday too. Got a limit with a 3lb kicker. Did you get any size? I got all mine on a drop shot in 30+ ft by Browns and Beals.
@@proambass8027 yeah, one also at 3 pounds and the others all in the 1.5 to 2 pound range. No real dinks on that rig. All of my smaller fish came on the Okashira scree head with a Keitech. Shallow is brutal out there right now. I fished it Friday and got a few hits and only landed one 14.5” spot. I agree. The fish are on offshore structure down in the cooler water. I usually do well on the 3” Roboworm at Folsom. I did nix it up and hit Sugar Pine and Scott’s Flat and had decent days at both. Mostly Largies were biting which was nice.
Love finding the largies, I was out Friday too and got a 3lb largie outta 35ft on a rock pile. 14.5” spotty up shallow is better than what im gettin shallow. I cant find any keepers up shallow even at 6am.

@@jasongundros1422dood was I out there the same day and did good. I got 8 or 9, a limit of keepers with a 3lb kicker. All I fished was Browns, Peter Point, Peninsula and Beals. Deep water structure.
I got pics of them on IG. It just took me a few trips to figure out what to do but I’m narrowing it down.
Right on at least someone was catching them .
I tend to find those marks at that depth to be catfish, if you drop down some liver on a 2/0 bait holder hook you will catch em, looks like a decent day! Yesterday I caught 3 well catfishing on a Ned rig.
@@Lex.polupan nice man, any size to them? Last week I lost one that i think went around 4 and another around 3. I had a bad week for missing good bass last week. Was happy i found some decent ones though. I figured they were something other than bass when I couldn’t get a single bite off them.
@@proambass8027 one of them was a 3 and a half largemouth
@@Lex.polupanoh damn 👏. I gotta start throwin the ned rig more. Maybe ill work that into a challenge video.
@@proambass8027 if you want I can go with you and show you how it’s done.
Hahahahah! Damn Dennis LOL. I did get a few there throwing at that isolated tree to the right of me. I really didn’t start doing well until I hit that island in front of Hobie Cove. The fish were hammering a drop shot there. As always, good to talk to you!
Man that tree in the back of browns is in like a foot of water now. Ive been out twice after the times I saw you and lost a biggun 1 day, im guessin around 4lbs and then then next time out got a 3 on a jig and lost one about 3 on a windblown point on a spinnerbait. Got some smaller ones too. Im sure ill see you out there again. Tight lines man.
@@proambass8027 You bet. I’m waiting for the water to hit like 430 so they open up Hobie ramp launch. That hike from Bottom of Browns up to my car sucks. LOL.
Thermocline is king this time of year. Especially with Spots.
Any advice on what to throw through those thermoclines? I tried a swimbait and a 10xd but nothing. That wasnt working so I went and found structure at the thermocline depth and started picking them up.
