PSA: you don’t need to use so many different cleaning products as long as you frequently clean/maintain your rigs. You can if you want them to look as new as possible for a while, but wear and tear is inevitable. Simple Green and an air compressor have been the only things I’ve used since I started club racing.

Pro tip mark... Spit on ur one finger that ur using shoe goo.. then spread won't stick to ur finger like that at all..

Hey Mark On the inside of the Body I use the drywall tape and small amount of super glue on small cracks and tears! Helps alot and drys clear if you use good glue

An old toothbrush works good for me getting into the tighter areas where the crap builds up . Cow RC got some good stuff but I use plain ol silicone blaster and a paintbrush or wd 40 if I’m out or it’s was wet . Plastics have been legit for me since doing this , no breaks for a while now , almost 6 months so there must be something to conditioning the plastic arms .

Mark, put a max6 on your XRT, and XMAXX, i guarantee it will be faster, more torque. And more efficient, and heat up less, plus its not as expensive as traxxas 8S esc, Max6 is 8S

I have the green/blue body on my new RTR XMAXX. Body isn't that nice anymore lol, but i also got the green ultimate edition body, with factory roof skid, for shelfqueening.

Nice your xmaxx body is sick its the same one i got yours looks nice and straight the tribal graphics 😎 mine was really crooked was off to one side so when u look down the centre of my truck the graphics are way off to one side but ya other then that i love my xmaxx i even contacted them with a picture and they said wasnt covered but ya cool rcs ....

I’ve always wanted a track in my backyard but the yard was never big enough till now. I purchased 3 acres of land in the mountains of California. I just need a tractor now to build it and a few friends to come over and race.

Its been difficult to keep tracks open in Louisville Kentucky.

Here locally in Florida the only tracks that seem to survive are either in a park with permits to operate as a non profit. Or behind a hobby store with a generous amount of land and a business man running the operation rather than someone who just loves racing. Only one of those is likely to be successful long term.

This is why i don't buy online unless it's the only option. My local Hobbytown has a couple of tracks, one they set up in their lot on Sundays for outdoor racing. Kind of hypocritical i think to buy online and then go to my local track to race after the owner has been setting up tubes in the summer heat

I bought two one for each son for Christmas, light easy play no bashing and one burnt out the steering servo on the first battery. Traxxas tough not so much. Wish I would’ve bought them Losi Mini LMT’s instead. Especially since I’ve went through 5 steering servo’s on 3 TRX-4M’s. Not the Traxxas I recall of many moons ago. 😢🤷‍♂️

See if there is motocross tracks near you that would add one in as another side gig for them they already have the land and parking most of the time and equipment

The challenging economics of running a track as a business really highlights the need in the US for more tracks run by clubs/not-for-profit groups. The big advantage obviously is removing the need for profit to sustain the track. The second biggest advantage is no longer having the track rely solely on a single person's drive/passion to operate the business. Something like this is admittedly more difficult to pull off with a 1/8 track, but it is more than possible for 1/10 and smaller tracks.

im just out side of seattle we petitioned the city and they donated the land. everyone chiped in and built and maintain the track and stands plus racing is free to all just no gas cars cause noise. tukwilla rc next to seatac airport
