Sammy Winder
In the era before free agency, a player was drafted to your team and they would remain on your team for years. They weren’t constantly changing teams, so you rooted for those players and they were in your life as a fan year after year. There was a connection to players that outside of a few “big name” players just doesn’t exist anymore.
Ask a longtime fan of the Denver Broncos to name some of their favorite players and “Super Sam” Sammy Winder would be right there at their top of the list. Winder was not big powerful bruiser or a fast homerun hitter, but he had the heart of a Lion and got the absolute most out of his abilities to lead the Broncos in rushing during the 80’s. Drafted in 1982, Sammy made a ton of hard-nosed tough yards that made many of those John Elway comebacks possible.

Pittsburgh Steeler legend John Stallworth career highlights.
Louis Wright
มุมมอง 1886 หลายเดือนก่อน
Louis Wright was a shutdown corner before the term was invented. A 4× First-team All-Pro (1978, 1979, 1983, 1984); Second-team All-Pro (1977); and a 5× Pro Bowler. In my opinion Wright, a member of the All-70’s team, should be in the Hall Of Fame. At 6-3 200 pounds with sprinter speed offenses rarely tested Wright which is the reason for him “only” having 26 career interceptions. It’s no coinci...
Tom Jackson

Tom Jackson was the face of the Denver Broncos franchise before John Elway. At the time of his retirement at the end of the 1986 season, Jackson had played more seasons and more games than any player in team history. Fittingly at the end of Super Bowl 21 Jackson and Elway were arm and arm in a symbolic passing of the torch. One career ending, one just beginning.
Lynn Swann Career Highlights
มุมมอง 2.3K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
I started this video with a 1981 Monday Night Football halftime highlight where the venerable Howard Cosell opinions that Lynn Swann is perhaps the greatest WR of all time. NFL fans that have grown up with the era of inflated video game type receiving stats have often referenced Swann’s Hall Of Fame credentials his stats in particular. Anyone who thinks this way was either a Raider fan or simpl...
Super Bowl 16 The Winner Takes It All

As CBS ended their Super Bowl 16 Cincinnati Bengals Vs the San Francisco 49ers broadcast, they cut away playing Abba’s 1981 hit “The Winner Takes It All”. As the song played, the sight of Kenny Anderson, QB of the Bengals, carrying his little boy off the field in defeat as 49ers coach Bill Walsh was carried off by his players always stuck with me. My Dad was a diehard Bengals fan and the next d...
Ken Anderson Career Highlights

Kenny Anderson was the 1st “West Coast” Quarterback. West Coast being Cincinnati Ohio. Bill Walsh’s famed offense still being run today was created around the talents of Ken Anderson. Deadly accurate, completing 60% of his passes when the rest of the NFL was completing 50%, Anderson had a huge impact on the modern day passing game that is today’s NFL. Upon his retirement Anderson held numerous ...

Earl Campbell Career Highlights
มุมมอง 8648 หลายเดือนก่อน
Earl Campbell rarely gets mentioned when it comes up in the best ever conversation, but Campbell along with Barry Sanders were the only two backs in my opinion to strike fear into defenders. Sanders made defenders fear looking foolish, while Earl Campbell made defenders fear for their well-being. He intimidated through quiet confidence. He would truck a defender and get gang tackled by half the...
Chuck Foreman Career Highlights
มุมมอง 1.6K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
Chuck Foreman was the precursor to the modern NFL Running Back. He switched back and forth between Fullback and Running back during his career (1973-1980) and with his soft hands he led the league in receptions once. Foreman rivaled OJ Simpson as the the RB of the 1970's. His 1975 season was legendary as he led the NFL in receptions, scored 22 Touchdowns which would have set the NFL season reco...

Pittsburgh Steelers Defense (The 1970's Era)
A great, great Raider. He could probably still play today. We need more Raiders like Lester Hayes!! That's when football was a lot of fun to watch!
A Dallas cowboy legend...FACT 🔥💯
Nobody better. Swann is the original “OG”!
GREAT video!!! And YES Louis Wright should be in the HOF!!!!!!
RIP JOE🙏🏆🏆🏆 NEVER FORGOTTEN 🙏🙏🙏
I have a 1978 card my dad collected of him... I'm 39 2025😮
To me no one comes close not even Montana ,Brady or Mahomes
What a storied career Bradshaw had, especially in his biggest games. He was 2 times a Super Bowl MVP and he had 4 4th quarter comebacks and Game Winning Drives in championship games. He also had 3 other championship games where he led his offense to 4th Q. TD's to "Seal the Deal".
We Love you Lyle!!! A True Raider for Eternity!!!!
John Jefferson str8 out of Oak Cliff,Texas a graduate of Roosevelt High School
Darth Raider
Who sings this?
Richie Havens
Great player 👏
My all time fave running back at o.u. and nfl.
One of the most underrated receivers who played for the Steelers at the same time as Swann and Stallworth(2 of the greatest ever), was number 86 Jim Smith.
Muhammad Ali vs Lyle Alzado was more entertaining than the joke of an exhibition fight Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul
I hated Dallas, still do, but I loved watching "Touchdown Tony."
Earl Campbell was a running force to be reckoned with, a carbon copy of Jim Brown, Earl unfortunately came around when the Pittsburgh Steelers were a dynasty which kept Earl and his Houston Oilers out of the Superbowl which sadly proves that being the best player in the league does not guarantee you a ring.
I think Dan Marino and Barry Sanders would second that emotion

When NFL Films spoke poetry…. … and the man needs to be in the HOF
In today’s league he’d be unstoppable with the talent they had then offensively and defensively
Should be in the HOF
Receivers today can’t carry JJ’s jock mush less run a route over the middle when in an era when receivers knew they would get hit severely. What an era.
Guy could ball
When the Boys was da Boyz
That’s when the Raiders were the Raiders🏆🏆🏆 them days are long gone
Would love to see Tony khan get this theme for Dustin Rhodes for one last run theme to get the roh title
The Lengedary Steelers are symbols of raw power and ferocity.
He was big, fast, and strong.
Super Duper and Clay!!! Love the Marks Brothers. That was a time in the 305!!!
As a black man growing up in Detroit during the 70's 80"s.I had to find "The great Steve Watson"..Morton and Elway couldn't wait to throw him the ball!
Still not in the H O F what is the hold up
Stallworth should have been Super Bowl 14 MVP
Mr Mella Yella himself
Great great player. Not just a ferocious hitter- an excellent athlete who could drop into coverage and get interceptions. Very intelligent. So was his teammate Jack Ham. Steelers were awesome in that era.
RIP DUSTY.🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲😇
He put on a show against the Dallas Cowboys 🤠 in Superbowl 10 🔟 aka X
The best period
Old school, I remember watching him when I was 6 living in Denver. My parent's had watch parties and thats how i became a fan to this day living in Adelaide Australia.
Browns fan. I came here to check this guy out as he was a little before my time. What a stud.
My hero, the whole reason i watched football . Love lynn swann, so amazing
Greatest all time
I remember this from CBS, and I LOVE This so much!!! (Am not a fan of these team) Kenny Anderson gave it all he had and his team in this game, and they lost the game. But Anderson's little boy running on the field smiling to be by his father's side!! Being picked up and taken of the field in arms of your dad...always made me cry. BUT WAS ANDERSON really the loser that day? His little boy gives him the real answer!! (SO Well done)
My memory was right! The 49ers winning their first superbowl and I was a big ABBA fan and this was one of my favorite songs. One of my best days ever!!
First. Met him once, nice, down to earth guy. I was sorry when I heard he'd passed away.
For Halloween I'm Dusty Rhodes
Dusty Rhodes is the greatest
This is crazy this man is not in the HOF, With lots of players with less credentials,,Lester was every receiver Molester!!!💯😎
I'm being dusty Rhodes for Halloween for trucking and treat
GREAT GUY!
