One game of these guys and you were hooked, specially when they were clicking (which was very often). That was my case. Turned the football world upside down. Fouts is to this day one of my still standing heroes (the gall, professionalism, and class of the man...). This video was a treat to see.
HELL YEA! keep it up. was at just about every home game from 1976-2010- missed maybe a handful. Thanks for all these. Fouts to JJ then Chandler made my childhood a lot of fun-
When Air Coryell was hitting on all cylinders, the best offense in the NFL; unfortunately, the Charger's defense was non-existent in those days. The only team to consistently average 40 plus points per game, and still lose.
I was in SD at their peak and at most of the games then . They had the 7th rank defense at the time . And their front 4 started the probowl . Instead of drafting or getting a couple key defensive players they brought in Tom Bass . He had the #1 defense . But they didn't have the players to play the 3-4 defense . So they traded away what could have been an incredible defense to rebuild it . That was the beginning of the end

Strange to see him beardless. Him, Kelley, Marino - all giants of the passing game. No ring? So what. He was a monster.
