- WELCOME back to Sploosh MTB! Today...we're suffering. We're heading to Michaux State Forest for a BIG day on the bike. We're hitting new-to-me trails like Fireline, Ejector, Glory Hole and more! What we didn't expect was to do be doing all this black-tech in the snow, freezing rain, and sub 30F temperatures... Come hop on the bike with me as we bumble down trails at Michaux State Forest.

Just found your channel over the weekend. Watched the video of your first intro to Michaux (Oct '22). Awesome that you love our trails! You were right when you said us locals are blessed! The nearest trailhead for me is 3 miles from my backdoor (Laurel Lake area) and there is pretty nearly endless riding opportunities the whole way down to the MD line. Crazy to see you were just here over the weekend! Great riding in those conditions, Michaux will for sure let you know when you're having an "off" day......ask me how I know, LOL. Maybe I'll see you out on the trails in the future! By the way, love your videos, subscribed ( to TrailSage also)!

Yeah dude everything got so sketchy when it started creating a thin ice layer on everything. Ugh yeah, i freaking love natural drops and i just knew it wouldn't be a smart call that day 😂. Definitely will reach out, I've heard I need to explore the southern trails a bit.

you arent kidding, that is some seriously hard blue trail tech in that wet. dont ever feel like you need to hit things you dont feel safe about, no amount of looking good on the video is worth months of being stuck in a cast.

Definitely is a place that demands some skill and tenacity but so much fun! Yes I agree in clear weather this place is even better.
