    Windy Ridge is great. Such an awesome addition to the - not just community, but to the region. Awesome drone work. I often thought about hiring a drone pilot to come out for rides where it makes sense. Great riding!

      Couldn't agree more, bike park sized jumps to practice on without having to get out to Bryce/blue/creek.
      Drone work was all my buddy Matt. I linked his IG on a pinned comment here, if you wanted to reach out! Drone content is so 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽

    Awesome video @splooshmtb! So glad that you and others in the mountain biking community are discovering Windy Ridge Trails and having a great experience. It’s been a collaborative effort between us MORE trail liaisons, volunteers, the Town of Mount Airy, and of course Greenstone Trailcraft.

    Great overview! I frequently ride Little Bennett, Patapsco, Schaeffer, Michaux, etc. but saw this intriguing network of trails recently while walking my Shepweiler along Windy Ridge in East West Park and returned with my Remedy 8 to give them a try. Wow, super fun! Pony Express provides access to the concentric EpiBERMis and Zah Zah Zaaaah downhill loops (marked as one-way), which are a great warm-up (and wind-down). Winnie's Walk then leads to Exes and Hoes which climbs to concentric Twisty Britches, BLEVE, and IDLH downhill loops (marked as one-way), each with big berms and jumps that rejoin X&H for another round. When finished, continue along X&H to Diesel Weasel for a fun singletrack return to Pony Express. Well done! BLEVE is my favorite, at least until I build enough courage to run IDLH properly...

    How would you compare this with the trails at River's Edge?

    • @splooshmtb
      @splooshmtb  3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @mrupholsteryman these are better in my opinion, but not in every aspect. Rivers edge has better small/ medium jumps and blue lines. When it comes to BIG black line jumps, windy ridge takes the cake.

    • @mrupholsteryman

      @splooshmtb thanks for the quick response! I am pretty busy...but was at River's Edge once a couple years ago and had a blast! The uphill at the end of every line was a killer.

    • @splooshmtb

    • @splooshmtb
      @splooshmtb  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @markfournette2483 I think this one's a bit better, in my opinion. If you're comfortable on black rated jump lines this one can be way more fun. If you're more of a blue jumper, rivers edge may be the better call!

      Greenstone Trailcraft did the overall trail design a few years back with my husband and I, who are the official trail liaisons with MORE. We have been pulling together volunteer crews for three years to build the multi-use trails. Still a little more work to do and we’re getting close to finishing up with the signs that will go throughout the park. In the meantime, Greenstone came back to do the jump lines this winter and knocked it out of the park!
