Speaking of cyberstien. Before the infamous cyberstien otk we know of in the tcg this card was running rampant in an old yugioh game simply called yugioh online. It was a similar build to the otk your familiar with but instead of cyber end dragon-(The card wasn’t even out yet. In fact this was before even goat format.)-The fusion monster of choice was Blue eye’s ultimate dragon who would then be equipped with megamorph in order to kill your opponent with one attack. If going first the deck also ran a lot of protective backrow like magic jammer and solemn judgement to stop cards like heavy storm and dark hole. Spell cards like those were running rampant at the time.

the old design card is soooo much better than noawadays, its crazy, it look like art. Today we dont even see whats in the card image...

I gues no tributes is fine, we just need some deck building "Ace" rule that’s simply do not allow you to have more than 3 monsters of 7+lvl or 2500+ATK That’s I think also shown in the anime like 3 yogi ace’s Dark Magician Summoned Skull and Gaia, 3 Kaiba Blue eyes, also Rex have at least two (that’s 2350/2400 normal dragon and red eyes) I also think we need something like arithmetic mean total level of monsters or somthing like.. Also about spell limitations.. mb we should can set/use another for cost of our battle phase.. I guess it make sense

I just got the japanese 25th anniversary kaiba briefcase blue eyes set for the original lay out of the cards since the only other way to get a set of secret rare original art blue eyes with this original attk and def layout was to sell my house, car, and all my organs

At this point in Yu-Gi-Oh ocg history, your side deck was only 10 cards. This wouldn't change to 15 until later.

Missing some information. The first set was Volume 1, but was originally called Magic & Wizards. It was released on Jan 23 1999 but by Februrary they had decided to change it to just Yu-Gi-Oh because the creator was afraid of getting sued by WOTC. The Magic & Wizards cards were only on sale about 20 or so days before it was pulled from the market. I would love to chat with you about it and show you the information from the Jump magazines. I also happen to own a couple of the Magic & Wizards cards.

In the last week, I've watched your series and dude, it's amazing. I really appreciate seeing the humble beginnings knowing what the game has eventually become. I started playing the TCG around 2002 and stopped around 2005. After playing Duel Links for a year and a half, it's amazing to see how far the game has changed and the card variety/deck tech. Thanks for this; it's a really great historical piece for a very nostalgic game to me.

Really exited for this (and the next episode of History!) because this is the series I've always wanted to see ever since Progression came out. I hope there won't be any winner rewards that are too OP since that would just distract from the game and cards (also stuff like a Custom Ban List would be against the point of a historical Series). But getting to choose between Starter Decks sounds like a great idea!

when you show the deck, waboku is not shown but it is in the set. is there any mix up when you show the decks? because lord of D and flute of summoning dragon in dfferent deck also seems weird
