Project Franken-Burb Ep. 2
มุมมอง 1.9Kหลายเดือนก่อน
We continue to slowly bring this pile of scrap parts back to life. This project started out in episode 1 as a 1970 body without a useable frame, and a separate 1972 frame with a useable body. We combined the two as the basis for our Franken-Burb creation. In this episode we will get rid of the rigor mortis by freeing up a stuck wheel. We also replace one of the doors with a door off of another ...

In this first episode of the Franken-burb build series we cut up the body of a 1972 Suburban and put a body from a butchered frame 1970 Suburban on the 1972 frame. can you send me Shawn`s information, I would like to check his inventory or trade with him, thanks
I wish I would have known about that. I need better rims for my 98 Suburban. I never know when the swap meets are and I don't live far from the fair grounds.
Pure crap. It will take thousands to restore best to buy it already restored will save time n.money may be even Your marriage.!
Prices higher than a giraffe hind end !
Get a can of PB blaster and if it don't move, spray it. Pour a mix of auto transmission fluid and diesel fuel in those cylinders. Let it soak for a week. Then drain and fill with wd40. Drain again before turning it over.
I have heard about the diesel / trans fluid trick but never tried it. We are supposed to work on the truck tomorrow. I will mix that concoction up and see what it does for us. Thanks for the suggestion!
was wondering where the Hanson brothers went
Allright! This what we're talking about beautiful truck! Maybe these boys will be selling this beauty for 80k at Pates!
The way prices are getting at Pate, they might someday!
Lot of stories could be told on that farm.
Dont leave it there boys....... make sure you get her out and finish what you started.... Ill be checking.
Haha! Yes. Help me keep them focused on finishing this. Sometimes, their interest wanes, and projects languish. I don't want a bunch of half done builds on our channel, that's for sure!
That was a really good video. I like watching the engine to get tore down the boys are awesome the way they’re interested in that old stuff I look forward to your next one
Thank you! I'm not sure if it will need it yet, but that engine will probably need a teardown. If that's the case we will film it for sure. Yes, sir, they like everything old!!
Closer to Krum and Sanger than Denton looks like they’re running low on the 30’s 40’s and 50’s from last time I was by there. As for that one that was jacked up best bet they raced it or drag racer if not it’s bootlegger special been a while since I seen one
2004 2005 Lincoln
They should make homeless shelters out of these cars up north here. "Got myself a new ' 60 Dodge Wagon!"

Hey, that’s good video. All brakes like that can sometimes sure be a pain in the butt grade it’s a Posi all the more better with a big block Keegan seems like he’s really getting into it. That’s great wonder what kind of gear ratio they offered in a suburban. Good video guys
Thanks! Fortunately, we only had the one wheel locked up. Normally, when one locks up, they all do. I'm not sure what the gear ratio is, but we will certainly find out. This should be a fun project. However, this project is going to have to share Keegan's attention with a new project that Keegan has acquired! I will have a video up soon showing you what I am talking about.
Enjoyed watching!
Thanks!
I went back and got caught up to speed on the project with part1 and surprised you fellas didn`t do all the chassis work before putting the body back on?
Hey! Thanks for checking out both videos. What you suggest does make a lot of sense and would have made the suspension rebuild easier. The reason why we didn't do that first is because we were trying to get the body and frame out of the elements as soon as we could. Not only were they slowly rotting because of the weather but we were noticing some vandalism on a few of our vehicles including this suburban body.
@@downsouthjunking8180 Someone vandalizing on your own property? Needa more vigilant doggy lol
Our family had a nice collection of cars 62' Impala 4 door, 74' Chevelle, etc. One day his friend brought a bud to look at the cowl hood on his Heavy Chevy gave him a price and Gene said no, next day while at work the hood was taken. That week Gene sent all the cars to crusher for #. Really depressing seeing them now!
Wow. I've heard similar stories. It's a shame.
Nice vid my bro took the 327 out of a chev 60' wagon then junked the wagon, it was in the shape of the one shown.
If only folks knew what some of this stuff would be worth someday!
In a way I kind of knew but but Gene couldn't stand the idea of people poking around our yard taking stuff, but still. I never did a full inventory but for sure there was a 67' Cougar, a huge 67 Galaxie Coupe, and a nice 63' GMC longstepside that after watching some other vids was easily a runner.
Had a bud who traded his 69' Coronet for a B210 and paid extra when he got married lol!
You get a thumbs up just for the thumb nail pic! Looking forward to watching the whole video now.
Nice when you have a theme to buy stuff your interested in like chief smokem' , bikes are good. Nice vid, be careful on the old timer freeway over there!
Hey, guys! It was nice to finally meet y'all yesterday at the fairgrounds! I had the 71 Firebird. Do y'all have a Facebook or Instagram for the channel?
Hey! It was great meeting you yesterday as well. Unfortunately we have NOT created a Facebook or Instagram yet even though my wife has told me to do it. I will work on setting those accounts up and do a notification in our community section of the channel. Thank You for taking some time yesterday to talk to us and letting us film your Firebird! Its a real beauty! Good luck selling it so you can put those funds into your truck.
Thanks for all the fn comercials!! Unnecessary BS
I will go into my TH-cam Studio account and see how they have the commercials set up. No matter what I request, there are always going to be some ads, but there shouldn’t be constant ads. I dont want that either, because it reduces the enjoyment of the content. However, creators are limited on what we can request YT to do when it comes to ads.
I believe my favorite car that I saw was the black 69 GTO that was pretty awesome course. I am a Pontiac fan great video.
The camera does that car, no justice. It was an amazing looking car in person. Thanks! The video didn't quite turn out the way I wanted. A huge storm came, and everyone started leaving early, so the video ended a little more abruptly than I had planned. Plus, Goodguys had music blasting everywhere, so some cars we couldn't show because the music drowned us out, and others, the music was causing copyright issues with youtube. That's also why the video might not appear to flow well at times. Either way, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Did he sell that 59 thunderbird ? it was priced right with it running
Unfortunately, I don't know. We only talked to him for a few minutes. It was definitely one of the best deals out there.
Yeah I missed that one then saw it on your video and I was like man
Did you hear it run?
No, we didn't, unfortunately. He said it ran, but I don't think it was fully turn key. I think it ran but in a hot wire it and pour gas down the carb kind of way. I could be wrong though.
lot of project cars there but unfortunately most of them arent going to sell anywhere near what the sellers are asking for them
I won't say if these cars were overpriced or not, but I will say this. There were very few cars with "Sold" on them at the end of the swap meet. A few years ago, it was the opposite. You would hardly see cars that didn't have sold written on them.
@@downsouthjunking8180 man its these in sane prces that keep my channel from delving into the world automotive on youtube
I hear you. I remember when you could always get cars at swap meets for under a grand. They might have been total rebuilds, but still. The only way I'm able to work on stuff is because we bought so many back in the day we have a lifetime supply of project cars.

How much was the '57 Bel Air?
From my understanding, they were selling it for charity to the highest offer they receive.
Great job guys your son's knowledge 💯. Smart 👋 thank you for your videos 🎥
Thanks! BTW my son really got a kick out of your post!
I could use those fenders on that blue burban
These are some of the best swap meet vids ive seen good work great to have all the prices.hi from New Zealand 🇳🇿
Thanks man! It means a lot to me to hear that. Greetings from Texas!
Show us your blazer please, great job to your kids
Thanks! Sure thing. I will make a video soon on my Blazer. I might go ahead and make a video of all our vehicles on both projects and fixed up. Keegan just got a Blazer so we will post a video of that soon too.
Yep...the 56 Plymouth with the little Red Ram Hemi is a yard car - runs and yard drives - thanks for the vedio !
Reason u dont c 1963 mach 1 is they were and r dig shit ugly
This is a great show! Some of the prices are affordable. I think it was 28 minutes and it was a GMC flatbed. He said he used to have a camper on it so those are you generally cabover with the back of the cab cut out so you can walk between the bucket seats in the cab into the Winnebago whichever conversion you may have had parrot it also if that was actually a camper I would say that the back of the frame had been cut some. I'm just judging by the one that I own. And 3,800 is that what you said the price that truck was? Seems cheap enough. I think my favorite one was the 67 at the beginning of your episode here. That was a very straight old truck
Thanks! Yes sir the GMC flatbed was originally a camper from what the owner claimed. Like you I would have expected it to have the rear part of the cab cut out. I wonder how the camper would have been configured without the cutout? There were quite a few straight old trucks at this year's meet. I'm just sad that everything is now creeping way beyond my budget. Fortunately we have dozens of trucks at home bought back when you could get them for a few hundred bucks.
@@downsouthjunking8180 yeah that's the only way I'd be able to afford some of what I have. Because I bought them sometime back when they cheaper. The other thing about the reporter camper conversion to flatbed, is that it set up high on back. And you think that you want on the sexual so you wouldn't have so many steps. Of course trucks get changed around just like cars.
Thanks guys. Always love your vids. Nice buys. Take care. Great to see a father and his sons enjoying time together. I raised my boys by myself. Lotsa good times. From a Kiwi on the other side of the world in New Zealand.
Thank you for your kind regards! It's great bonding with my boys over something that all three of us love. Wow! It's so cool to know that someone all the way down in New Zealand is watching our videos!!
How much was the pace car
It should say in the video, but I want to say around $20k. If I didn't get the price, I apologize. I always try to get as much info as I can but sometimes I get distracted and miss it.
Awesome track, where we race here in Canada the older beat up Karts are always the fast ones.
Haha! Yeah, that always seems to be the case.
Some real good cars there!
OJ did have a matching bronco, your son is correct!! His was dis mantled by L A P D!! There were 2 white broncos

Wow some very kool cars there, that 2 door 58 Pontiac at 50.06 in the video, such a rare and sought after car here in England UK and over there in the US. I enjoyed your video, thanks. Greetings from a 56 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 Holiday, 56 Packard Coupe and 56 Lincoln Coupe owner here in England UK.
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Sounds like you have a heck of car collection!
What is this about? Seems cool
It's basically a flea market for old cars and car parts. Pate is one of the biggest in the US.
Hope y’all are doing OK haven’t heard from you for a little bit
Hey, were good! We had a busy few months so no videos. We're about to get back to posting videos regularly again.
