Hi love your videos, I was wondering if you know anything about a Bailey #28 transitional plane. I picked one up and it seems unique as it has a screw on metal plate and tote is mounted lower than the metal top portion that is the frog and front handle

Hello MJ, I might be looking for a couple stanly #6 and #7 both type 9A irons. The number six I have the iron is getting very short and the number seven has a sweetheart logo blade that I would like to replace with a period correct blade.

Mine is a complete type 6. A bit dirty, handles need to be refinished, but it works great.

I bought a Stanley with only the chisel iron. So i bought the two Veritas blades. Im fortunate to live near a Lee Valley store. With the adjuster upside down, it is very stiff adjusting. I am thinking of cutting a slot at the proper stanley height. Has that been tried before?

One should keep an eye on lumbers too. Often people are eyeing on tools and forget about the wood. I have negotiated purchase deal on lumber (walnut). The estate vendor wants to get rid of it as they are the ones who has to move it out of the house if it is not sold.
