Hello MJ, you have the best channel for type study I have seen here! Maybe you can help me. I purchased a No. 3 with the only Pat. Date April 19-10 behind the frog in the cast. Following Timetested tools this disappeared with the Type 14. But it also has Bailey cast in toe behind the knob and the plane size number in front of the knob, so it should be a type 15. It has no raised ring around the knob. So I am a little bit confused. It has a tall knob and a small depth adjuster nut, which confuses me too. I know, that the type studys only fits exactly with the number 4. Could you help me how old my No. 3 is? Regards, Matthias
