LG C2 | Newly Discovered Problem...
มุมมอง 8K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Something strange is happening when real cinema is on and logo brightness is set to high. When paired together, these two picture settings are causing a strange pixelation or dirty screen effect. It can be subtle and hard to detect at first, but once you see it, you can't unsee it. The visual anomalies can be removed by disengaging logo brightness or real cinema. However, it's not really ideal ...

ps5 pro next cx lg woot! :)
On yamaha lfe plus main is called extra bass. So on large you can play stereo on 2.1 and when sub is on we have bass here but better is small plus crossover like 60 or 80hz and lfe mode. Specially we do calibration on microfone.
Cheers for this, I use VRR and Gsync and always turned v sync off in NCP. Something i read many moons ago. 🤷♂️ I appreciated this 👌
I used it everyday when i had my OLED because i was afraid of burn in, especially since i'm a gamer
Does the VU meter gets lit up? I have seen some that it was blue, then other people were mad because there's did not light up
Mine does not
Exactly. Use your tv as you see fit when it comes to calibration.
I have Dali zensor 7 front speakers and also a Dali centre vokal speaker. I bought a subwoofer dale E12, just yesterday. Should I set all my speakers to small? Can I set them to large? I don't want to ruin them. Any ideas? Thanks!!
Will this work for competitive games or story mode gamss
So if you have a PS5 don’t bother then, for almost the same you can save $500.
Look at text or UI elements that are supposed to be white, as soon as ABL kicks, the text immediately becomes a murky gray. That aspect of it bothers me so much that i turn offball HUD/UI stuff whenever possible
i dont notice it. it would seem im just not sensitive to it.
LG C3 here and its literally impossible to NOT notice ABL in HDR in specifically bright situations. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirths combat often causes full screen particle explosions that cause massive dimming. Now im not returning my panel, cause other than this one issue its a gorgeous piece of tech. But im mind blown anyone can claim they DON'T see this shit. Maybe the C3 is even worse. When im running my PC in SDR mode though, i have it calibrated where ABL literally never kicks in, and it still is bright, vibrant and gorgeous. But it does sick to give up HDR and VRR in order to kill off ABL. But at least there is a solution
Amps and receivers do not over heat due to room temperature, so dropping your room temperature will have little to no effect on cooling your unit. The air around the unit can help cool the it if you can generate active air flow over the circuitry by pulling hot air out of the unit, thus pulling cooler air into it. Additionally, cooling your room another 3-5 degrees would be much more expensive.
Elgato is big piece of shit i have a 4k pro he dosent record my gamplay.PLEASE dont buy elgato .Avermedia is good in compar
I didn't see a picture aspect size control
BURN-OUT (IMAGE retention) isn't reversible. It is continuous and permanent. In addition to static image burn-in, you will also get color shifting regardless of what image is displayed as the r g b elements burnout at different rates. Blue burns out the fastest which is why oled screens get warmer/red over time no matter what.
So where the gain / volume set at !?
Do you also build JHS guitar pedals?
?

Should i turn on low latency mode, i have a 4080 super. If i set a fps limit in riva turner should i leave my fps to unlimited to in game.
I have 3 questions 1) If I have a 175hz monitor wich fps It should be the best to work with this topic of Gsync 2) I have to put the low latency in on or ultra 3) If the game has fps limiter but pass to 144 fps to 200 fps (dont have my 175 fps of my monitor) I have to put 144 fps in game limiter or NCP put a limit of fps? Hope you can help me
On my setup running a PC as my source, I had to set it to LFE+Main otherwise the sub does not work on youtube or other stereo content. My speakers are set to small as well.
that does make some sense as im guessing the content you listen to on your PC does not have a .1 or dedicated LFE channel.
@@steadychaosproductions3376 Its with Denon specifically because my old pioneer would use the sub with stereo content no problem. I have seen others mention this about Denon as well.
I don’t like the ps5 controller because the battery doesn’t last long. Like 6 to 12 hours.
If you have speakers set to small and lfe+main is set on is it ok
pointless, it wont do anything. Just set to LFE.
My 2019 LG C9 is smoked, thanks for having this video for me to test! 13k hours out of a TV promised to go 100k should be a class action lawsuit
is this the same with freesync from AMD ?
yes
Is this compatible with klipsch subs?
I have a 3.1 setup: Towers set to "small",Center channel at "small",AVR setting is LFE+ Main and it sounds better..at least for me.
if youre speakers are set to small, my understanding is LFE+main wont do anything.
@@steadychaosproductions3376 I hear a difference in sound, but as I said, it actually sounds better to me
If i set towers to large, there's no sound from subwoofer @@steadychaosproductions3376
This setup is awesome thank you. I got the gold edition because I though the third person mode would make the control and aim easier like in RE2 oh boy I was wrong. The enemy patterns were clearly not design with console in mind. But thanks to your setup the experience is more enjoyable. I will say though that the auto aim is absolute trash in this game especially with fast enemies like the Lycans.
Acceleration off for gods sake 😮
To my horror, I found serious burn-in on the bottom third of my Sony Bravia OLED TV (2020 version). I found your video while researching Panel Refresh. Thank you for the thorough, well-organized info! I decided to do the refresh last night. After a warning, Sony required me to click through several prompts before the actual refresh start, giving the chance to opt out. About 20 minutes into looking at a black screen, the white line appeared. I had no idea when/if it finished, so I waited 1.5 hours. To my surprise, the burn-in was completely gone! I'm so happy!
UPDATE: Just wanted to let everyone know that as of 08/05/2024, this controller continues to function perfectly. No issues, no malfunctions to date.
How much does it cost right now ???
Why is something so expensive plagued by a plethora of durability issues?
Now that you mention it, I can report back that this controller has been awesome. This video is well over a year old at this point and the controller continues to perform flawlessly for me. Zero issues.
I have an LG CX. I don't have any burn in, but I have some DEAD PIXELS. It sucks.
Well you would think the Panasonic DVD player should have a different pictures because of the price
Pc it's a beautiful mess, I play on pc since 2012 and I use gsync since 2017 I think and I didn't know that, I always use gsync plus frame rate cap
Thanks for this explanation! G-Sync ON V-Sync ON Low latency ULTRA FPS capped under refresh rate
svs ultra evolution center or old Svs Ultra Center which one best movie performance??
im curious about that myself. I suspect there wont be a major difference, but I have not had a chance to test the Evo yet.
A very informative video that explains things in a way we understand, thankyou!
Both are very dark .My Dali Mentor LCR from 2013 has a lot better and clean-brighter hights !!!! SVS making only great subwoofers , SVS speakers are so overrated IMO !!!
I like my Ultra center and Prime Pinnacles. They sound great for a meaty, bassier home theater application, but I agree, they prb aren't the most nuanced, refined sound when it comes to music.
Uh so im aware how my sony oled screen looks discolored after i mistakenly kept my tv plug in for hours but with screen off do you know what happen sir ?
15k hours on my cx , got it since 2021. there is now a youtube logo burn in. YT really need to dim the logo.
8:20 absolute bullshit, you are higher than your latency, vsync literally multiplies your input lag in twice! video is absolutely useles and misinforming people
it will add minor amounts, but this information is directly from blurbusters. ' PS - calm the fuck down bud. lol
What happend if I can't max my fps ? I own a asus rog 180hz monitor and I can't reach to those frames Should I lower my hz monitor to 144 or 120 ? I own Asus Dual RTX 4070 OC
As of 2024 with Fortnite at least, all of this is still true and accurate. Only difference is in nvcp vsync has a fast option but I haven't seen a difference between fast and on so I just use fast. However, using msi afterburner and rtss stats to show frametime, i still see occasional frametime spikes. This is with a 4090 and 10850k, 4800 dominator and good m.2 so I'm still on a quest to understand what is causing my frametime spikes.
gsync + fast vsync what you thinking??
huh
How does all of this work when using Pure Direct mode? I'm looking to get a receiver that can divert the low frequencies to my subwoofer when listening to music. My Yamaha won't do it.
If Pure Direct is working as it should (i.e. it's properly designed) when listening to a stereo source, you should not get sound out of your subs because there is no .1 channel to send to your sub. There's only Left and Right. And settings like LFE+Mains, crossovers, all that jazz should be irrelevant because it should not even be part of the chain. What your asking for is basically the opposite of what Pure Direct is meant to do. BUT ... if Yamaha implemented it this way, that's cool. You almost certainly will also have another mode (or maybe two) you can use that'll do what you want (like ... Stereo). My Denon (X4700H) has no such option. The difference between Direct and Stereo is basically just that Direct turns Audyssey off, and then there's a collection of options for '2 Ch Playback' that allows certain things to be set like Front speaker size, LFE mode as discussed in this vid, crossover, R/L speaker distances, and R/L levels. So, in effect, I have no 'real' Pure Direct mode, not even close, there's all this addt'l circuitry no matter what. And most annoyingly, there is no independent 'subwoofer level' adjust in the 2 Ch options. So listening to stereo, the subs 'work' but the sound coming from them is anemic, with no way to turn them up other than the main subwoofer level controls, which affects all modes (Stereo, Atmos, etc). SO while you could technically switch to Denon (and likely Marantz) to get what you're asking for ... it's really not any better. I'd rather have a real Pure Direct when I want it, and a Stereo mode that has all the digital stuff and crossover and Audyssey (or in your case YPAO) and all that ... as the other option. Or even better a third option that's like Denon in Direct mode, but with freaking subwoofer level adjustments.
@@bvaljalo I got the Marantz Cinema 60, and it does exactly what I need it to do. It plays direct 2.1 stereo. The subwoofer is running, there is zero latency (I amplify my DJ setup with my home theater), and it sounds great! I can even set two different speaker presets so my front presence speakers become Front B speakers in music mode to use as monitors. Unfortunately, the unit I got was super-glitchy, so I had to send it back. I'll get a replacement as soon as I'm refunded.
I want to buy a Sony OLED but I don’t want imagine retention or burn in. I don’t watch a bunch of tv. But I do like to sit down and watch a movie or two when I can or dvds of some old school wrestling . I think I will buy another led I don’t want to risk problems.
burn is not a major issue with most modern oleds - esp if you engage certain features that prevent it.
Oh. Now, I get it. Thank you.
Curious. I'm having a problem with my Samsung OLED flickering when there are like strobing LED lights like from cop cars or camera flashes when watching shows instead of the camera flash looking like a camera flash the entire section from left to right of the screen has long line strobe flares.
Nice review, thank you. Just one gripe, it would have been useful if you had turned a light on so we could see the control buttons you were pressing. Anyway, I've ordered one via Amazon at £130 and apparently I won't get it until 3rd July so I'm itching to get my hands on it and stick it atop my Yamaha 3060 AVR as that gets more than a little warm at times.
