Congratulations Chaos and thanks for showing this controller off! Are you looking forward to the new DualSense Edge? I play with the Razer Wolverine Ultimate, but unfortunately it is only a wired option for nearly the price of the Elite 2.
The customization options for the Edge look to be a welcome addition, but honestly, i dont really care for the size and bulk of the dualsense controller to begin with, so ill likely pass.
I thought about getting the Elite Core 2, but its the same thing as the Series 2 and DOESNT come with any of the replacement parts like the joysticks, dpad, or back paddles. Technically you can add back paddles to the Dualsense, but it requires some pretty hefty surgery apparently. Most people aren't going to want to take apart their controller and potentially mess it up. th-cam.com/video/dv6AywqMx2Q/w-d-xo.html
Does the buttons on the elite series 2 feel the same as the regular series controller? I prefer the ergonomics of the Xbox controller compared with the PS5 controller, but find the "clicking" sound from the buttons a bit annoying. Also, is the vibration and haptic feedback the same (regular Xbox controller vs elite series)?
im going to be honest, everything about the Elite 2 is better than most any other controller ive used. Its far more comfortable compared to the Dualsense. The buttons do have a different "clicky" or tactile feel to them when comparing to the Dualsense, but personally speaking, it doesn't bother me. The Elite 2 also has better grip than the regular default XSX controller, and it also has slightly smaller joystick tops - which I've grown to love.
@@steadychaosproductions3376 Thanks so much for a thorough explanation. Agree with Xbox controllers being more comfortable than the dualsense. On the verge of swapping my PS5 for a Xbox series x. Will have a look at the elite series 2 controller.
Do you know why the main character of Horizon’s name is ALLOY? Isn’t that some liquid metal of some kind? Is there any significance to this? Seems weird
@@steadychaosproductions3376 Yeah I guess so. I find it to be one of the strangest video games that got such good reviews. I just can’t connect with Alloy at all and it’s funny that the game director is a guy named Herman Hulst. 😂
The Elite 2s plastic handle covers eventually warp and come off and the RB / LB buttons still suffer from the same problems as every standard Xbox One controller which potentially become unresponsive. It's really not as well built as it could have been.
@@steadychaosproductions3376 Yup! I had one Elite 2 replaced by Microsoft so at least if still in warranty you can get a replacement but they do have about a year or less viability
Hey Steady. I have been trying to decide whether or not to purchase the Sony branded Pulse 3D headset and this Raptor Rise Headset Stand and Qi charger for my PlayStation 5. I don’t know if it’s worth it and I’ve been holding back. I don’t have an Xbox Series X yet and I’m kinda not gaming much anymore which is funny. I’d probably go back into The Last of Us II to see if it could reinvigorate me but something is even holding me back from replaying The Last of Us Part I Remake. Maybe the Tempest audio is sensational but it is only utilized on certain titles like Call of Duty.
in my opinion sony's temptest audio engine is overrated - I dont really notice much difference when using a headset, 3D or not. I do own the Pulse headset, which I like; its wireless, clear and analytical. But when using it wireless, it doesnt get loud enough, and its not really the most comfortable headset around - kind of has small ear cups. And again, the 3D function is cool and all, but I dont notice a major enhancement personally speaking.
@@steadychaosproductions3376 Well I have the 65” LG C2. Are you recommending not to purchase the Pulse 3D Wireless headset then and just use the speakers on the C2 for gaming? I read several people say the spatial audio on this headset is quite good and better than Atmos when supported in games?
@@OneBlackButton meh, If you dont have a headset already and you want an affordable 3D headset, the Pulse is fine. But dont expect the "3D audio" to perform miracles.
@@steadychaosproductions3376 Did you hear that Google Stadia is ending in February! I’m not sure what this means as I don’t use it. You still think the video game industry is headed towards streaming with the physical console dying off?
@@OneBlackButton yes, 100%. At some point, it is inevitable that cloud gaming will be the majority gaming format. Just how long that takes is up for debate; I suspect it will be down the line a bit. UPDATE: Just wanted to let everyone know that as of 08/05/2024, this controller continues to function perfectly. No issues, no malfunctions to date.
How much does it cost right now ???

Great overview. I'm curious about the tension adjustment on the thumbtacks. Seems like an interesting feature to have.
I prefer the middle settings, feels just right.
PLEASE, when doing an unboxing video, include all parts that you remove. At 6:28 the fabric appears and disappears!
