This is an interesting video and helps explain an important part of the RT Fresh Score. However, I would like to know if your thoughts have changed since other Star Wars material has came out. How would you explain the difference in critic scores vs audience score for something like The Acolyte? The Last Jedi had its pros and cons, and I could see how it would get a majority of positive reviews from the critics, but The Acolyte has no redeeming qualities and still has an 81% from critics vs a 15% from the audience. I would expect the critics to weigh universal film qualities more heavily - things like character development and a coherent storyline, and for the audience to fixate on minutia that are specific to the franchise - as your video points out. However, in this case, the audience are the ones pointing out the glaring faults in the storyline, consistent character actions, pacing of the film, etc. Shouldn't it be the critics who are more critical of those things?

This show has changed me and touched my soul more than a fictional story should ever have and I am not a weak man I can still remember my last year in high school watching season 2 on my laptop in the balcony with wide eyes, summer time, electricity cut off, cool breeze Tanks less than 1 km away on hold It was 2012 or 2013 hearing bombs going off far away, and there was it the most complete moment of my life I survived a war that was enforced to my country, I escaped death 2 times by then I lost family members, we only demanded freedom I left the country and all my memories there in 2015 I had to build something out of my self from 0 in a new country which is didn’t speak its language This show felt like it was growing up with me it was so annoying to wait years for new seasons It was like my friend for some reason i felt so close maybe too close to these characters I am now somewhat successful in life at 27. I got married to my lovely wife who watched this show and shared the love Recently i was finally able to apply for new citizenship and got offered to change my name, i choose Eren and can’t wait to get my id holding this name And even though i read the manga 2 years ago and cried like a little boy by myself i still had my eyes tearing when i watched it with my wife Life has been weird since 2020 guys as i am laying down in the bed thinking about how I don’t feel any huge trumas living for +100 in my 27 I came across this ost I got flooded by memories and tears wanted to share above I also haven’t felt safer in my life than being in that balcony watching aot while tanks are 1km away Cheers

Excuse my poor English, it is not my mother tongue. I think Zeke (captain of Marley's side) was the one who was responsible for Bertholdt's death (he could have killed Reiner as well) as he sent Reiner and Berthold to the town separately and each of them had to work ALONE. In the previous fight between Eren and Reiner, Eren broke Reiner's armor with wrestling skill then Mikasa tried to cut his nape with blades. The Colossal titan can be a little tricky to handle at first, but his steam would no longer protect him if he run out of it. Hence, none of the titan shifter should work alone but Zeke wanted to meet with Eren, he couldn't risk Eren's life. R.B.A trio is by far my favorite characters in the show. It's sad to see Bert's death. He would never have chance to show his love for Annie, never get back home, even in his afterlife he was forced to fight against his best friend and almost killed him. What a miserable life.....

Spoilers for those who haven't seen the finale!: I was obsessed with the S2 Outro the more I saw it. My brother and I even watched it back then as if we were watching a documentary and tried to piece it together the best we could. And we were right- the 'devil' and 'apple' were representations just as how there is some fact embedded in legends. I doubt the lightning in the Ymir's first transformation is literally striking them down with it. Notice when Titans transform- its with a flash. And I had a funny feeling the Founder was going to be offed in the end with the others surviving. That's what the end means. The Titans crouched in respect- not just in servitude. I think rather, they are mourning the loss. The Titans disappeared in the end, but most of the wielders survived to honor Eren.

I have been thinking about this for a while now, and am so glad to see someone made a video about it!

I like this video but I think when you said “when he had the opportunity to what’s right, he never did” I thought that sounds wrong note. The series is about people making morally grey decisions that has no real right or wrong answer. I think what really sealed Bertholdt’s fate is when he decided that nothing else can be done, and the world is cruel (Something to note is complete opposite of what Mikasa says from season 1. She says ‘ the world is cruel but beautiful’ which is in a more positive of that statement). Not really sure how to explain it and I maybe grasping as straws but I’ll try my best to explain my reasonings. Attack on Titan is filled with many characters that have some level of hope, dreams, or something to keep a character going. I think season 3 part 2, Return to Shiganshina is particularly about dreams and hopes. Of course dreams and hope aren’t plot armor but it does show a willingness of a character and how far they can go. Bertholdt sealed his fate as soon as he abandoned his “dreams” and “hope”. Bertholdt’s dream/hope is he, Reiner and Annie are able to go home alive together and be reunited with their respective families. That’s his biggest desire, but Season 3 is where he changed completely decides to be fully into the mission, and abandons any notions about the possibility of his dreams. Getting Eren is high priority at this point. For him the mission needs to be finished. He mentioned he wants to end everything. During his talk with Armin, he doesn’t fall for the same trick, he abandons any concern he has for Annie. He practically yells at Armin to feed her to the pigs. And even with a very injured (and a mostly headless) Reiner, he tells him too move but if he can’t during the time Bertholdt gives him, Bertholdt is very willing still continue the plan and is willing to kill Reiner in the process. I need to mention that It clear Bertholdt still cares about Annie and Reiner such as how he is willing to go against Zeke’s plan to so he can check on Reiner’s well being, but as I said earlier, Bertholdt is still prioritizing mission above all else. His mission is all that he has left but his mission is not a dream. It’s something he need to clear. Once he decides to follow the will of Marley and abandon the notion of what he wants, abandon his hopes and dreams perhaps even abandoned his own sense of self. He completely sealed his fate and thus gets eaten by Armin who still has a dream and a sense of self.

The stark difference between Walter and Eren is that Walter had multiple routes to take to get out of the meth business, he was offered high paying jobs and all just so he wouldn’t sell meth but he kept doing it because he wanted to provide for his family to when he’s gone but in reality he was enjoying and liked selling meth but still claimed he was doing it for the family. However Eren was presented with choices to not do the rumbling that go against his core beliefs and values and are requiring more sacrifices of his people, he don’t want his people of Paradis to be the laughing stock anymore so he had no other choice. 139 is just viably written

-If Gryphone was toxic many more people would use it (doesn't happen because isn't that strong); -The only skill you need to play gladiator is dodging and pocking, and spamming light strokes till youre opponent crush his console (at least is dumbass); -Highlander is probably the second most annoying hero of the game for players not looking for a challenge, is strong fast and in the most of the cases is enough spamming that fucking spin at 100km/h, has everythinf and should be a fucker (and if someone is bad with Highlander means that just started playing the game); -Hitokiri needs literally to be removed from the game, because of this bitch assoult is unplayable and is completly out of mind that can do that instant kill move to the commander (a fucker) -Shugoki is weak as the fuck and a decent player can easilly counter his super heavy attack; -Valkyrie is absolutley the worst fucks sucker in this game, you need only 2 finger with this bitch in order to lightspamming 3 strokes in 0,5s and then trip and skewer (with this combo you took half life from your opponent and need an hero who can dodge in order to having a little chance);
