I never grew up with this, so I don't have any nostalgia for it. But while I wouldn't call this movie "good," necessarily, I can definitely say it's fun. The dialogue is pretty stilted at times, and so is the voice acting, and the story is very straightforward. But sometimes... straightforward is nice. Not everything has to be clever and subversive. Sometimes, it's fun to just have a spooky Halloween fantasy adventure.

100/10 the best movie in the decade 2010’s and every thing else, I love the characters, the animation, and loved brand x, the best thing in all of history, I have 2763 copies of it.

I vividly remember so many details about this movie from my childhood… but now watching this back…. I never remembered that it was a DANCING pumpkin for some reason. I am cracking up rewatching this!! I do not remember those moves at all 😂

They really should have left Carl giving the kids a reality check, it’s gold maybe the pace was the problem, but I genuinely believe they could have edited it so it would fit, too bad Hughes had to cut so much because of the Studio…

The Breakfast Club and Dazed & Confuzed were the soundtrack movies to my high school years especially Breakfast Club , it was as if the movie was made at my school with a cast of characters i knew personally and because of that this movie was absolutely brilliant , the casting , the location , the choice of problems each character had with a perfect ending . Leaving the viewers wanting more but satisfied at the same time
