ABS light is on. On mine it was the connector under the carpet behind the front seats.

Please, please, please…if you’re going to be under what amounts to a very heavy vehicle, please use a good robust set of axle stands and don’t rely on just that jack. You’re on your own and if that drops on you, you’re cactus! I’ve had a Jaguar do just that. The jack collapsed. These are big, heavy cars. Please be safe!!! Otherwise, I enjoyed this. Brings back good memories of my own Jaguar follies when I was your age…

That does sound sweeeeeet, reminds me a bit of a S1 Daimler XJ6 I bought for £400 (for sale on a grass verge outside someone's house), circa 2000 I think it was. Looked a bit dog-eared in places but pulled like a train.

Good to see another old Jaguar saved and hopefully going back on the road, last year I spent a lot of time resurrecting an XJ8 that had been sat for a few years

All good fun. When I have had caliper problems I have bought rebuild kits so I kept the original castings. A bit cheaper than buying new calipers but there you go. Not every is as daft as me I suppose. Brings back many memories of my red XJS.

I believe this is the AJ6 engine they were designed and built to handle petrol or diesel so the bottom end is ROBUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clear satin lacquer on the rocker covers
