First and Last drive (for me)! 100hp VW Polo Breadvan Sleeper build Part 2

This is just a quick video to show you guys the problem I'm having with my Volkswagen mk2 polo bread van sleeper build project. I worked on this car for weeks on and off the camera to try and solve the ominous ticking from the top end of the 100hp engine but nothing I did managed to fix it. so unfortunately the car has to go

Thanks I think the next step was to strip the whole engine down unfortunately I dont have the time, fingers crossed it'll be fixed by somebody! 🤞

Probably the right thing to pass that along to somebody else to finish - you got it started off from a non-running unit with a rats nest of wires for them, anyway. That alone would have been enough to put me off. Looking forward to the Mini project. Hopefully the Minor, too. 👍🏻

Thank you man I have! I would love to post a lot more and have dreams of doing so! I do have a normal 9-5 job but I take as much time off as I can plus evenings, I promise there will be an upload at least once a a week one day soon! 👍

If it’s stinking of fuel & ticking loudly it could be a stuck/leaking fuel injector. Easy way to test - let engine idle & disconnect each injector electrical plug one at a time & see if the ticking goes away

Hey thanks yea I unplugged them one at a time as I thought that could be an issue but the ticking never went away, it got worse as the engine warmed up which was odd

you should be able to get a roadworthy one for around £1000, they are cool cars and still a pretty cheap classic!

how do you keep track of Parts and esp. Bolts and washers n' stuff while tearing a whole Car apart? I keep myself Procrastinating a repair job/Restauration of just a Moped bc. I am not sure If I keep everything Sortet so that I can get it together again😬😬😬 haha.
Would you share your Process, maybe make a Video about it? How do I tacle that?

I know mate unfortunately I haven't had much time recently, also I've got to pick the project that once finished will be worth having the money spent on it the last two haven't been great for me unfortunately 😞 the van is still ongoing and the next project will be restored 100% I promise
