Shelf collapsed? That's heartbreaking!
Hey Steph! Thanks for the video. I watched the other you linked with the instructions also. How much do you sell this copper oxide for? I didn;t see you have a website linked. Sorry if I missed it
Ohhh no!
I feel your pain.Doing the last little bit ofb work on my flat lap and my 7" drop vases from twisted cane ended up on the garage floor.
SO VERY SORRY THAT HAPPEND
So sorry been there done that
I hope you didnt pay 100 for a cast mold
😢
Arg bummer that sucks sorry!
Thanks Steph! This helped me troubleshoot some issues I had recently. Will be making some nightlights today! ❤
What a terrible video
You are obviously not my target audience
@@StephFuses I’m sure anyone who doesn’t like your videos isn’t your targeted audience. I’ve investigated other videos related to similar topics and they’re decent in my opinion. You talk a lot instead of showing process and results which is the main thing I’m here for.
Steph, Thx for this video. Have you ever tried the oxide powder in-between a layer of tekta and an opal or transparent color ? Also wonder if you laid the two layers in a diamond pattern vs two layer square if they would shrink more.
I have not, but my friend Linda of @ramprateart has, and she's used white as a background. It makes the blue pop and look beautiful!
I tried it on clear and on white. Worked great and I used next to nothing from the baggie. It definitely will last a long time! Is there a way to add photos here?
What temp did you fuse to? Full fuse?
I go to 1485 or thereabouts. My kiln is such a mess, it's 50 degrees too hot, takes forever to get to full fuse temp, so I officially go to 1390 on my display, which is 1440, because it'll take 4 hours to go between 1225 and 1390, even at 400-600 per hour. In my small kiln though, it's 1485, which is more of a proper fuse.
Wow…. Your math is awesome! Have you ever used copper sulfate? I would like the hearts to be fatter. Would I just add more clear glass on top of it? I also I would like to run a wire through it so I can make little suncatchers with the hearts. BIG THANKS to you for sharing. 👍👍🐢
I've never used copper sulfate, but I can look into it. As to fatter hearts, pile on the clear! I make nnice fat hearts all the time. You can run a wire through, I recommend looking for nichrome wire, or high temp wire on Amazon and picking it up in a roll, not in the little hooks. It'll take some trial and error to get it right, but I'm sure you'll get it!
I love using this on white for making backgrounds for water scenes & rainy skies! 😎💜🔥
turns out so pretty!
LOL your momma only steals 95% of your bubbly dots. Signed Yo Momma. 😉 Oh you still have the lil sample tile I made too.
somewhere I have the tiny baggie of dust too!
NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks!!
Can you tell me how you fire the dots with bubbles? Do you use 2 layers of glass to enclose the copper oxide? Never mind! I watched the video that was linked. Thanks
I'm glad the video that was linked helped!
Steph I am trying to slump over chalk. I notice fumes coming from the microwave. Did you experience this?
Is your chalk coloured? It could be the binders keeping the chalk together burning off
Wow! Wow! And Wow! Did I miss a video on this? This is gorgeous❤
I have not done a video on this.. yet!
I bought the 6' sitting bench that goes with the table I put it on top of the table towards the back dropped a cloth over it and that's my second teir. I use the underside for my cash box and bags, and a directors chair
I love this idea!
Oh Steph, your display was so cute and very inviting! I am so sorry you didn't get the traffic you'd hoped for. I know you know this, but it wasn't you or your cousin, it just wasn't the best venue. My first craft fair was like that too, it was a lot of work and I think I sold 1 pair of earrings, talk about a confidence vampire, lol. It was good practice though. It will all come together when it is supposed to ❣
Yeah, it was a confidence vampire, you're absoutely right. But, I did another show a few weks later, and saw $167, so that made up for it!
Where did you get your tags? They're great
I made them! I got my inspiration and know how from this video by @Camryn's Cute Creations, th-cam.com/video/Tf1bwwYrbvU/w-d-xo.html And then I went to vistaprint, found the tags I liked, and used Canva to make them. then I haD vistaprint make them
Thanks, they're fabulous
I wish you would’ve shown examples of each of the items you are going to sell while talking about them
I really should have done that, you're right. I have the brain of a squirrel some days. What I talked about bringing, I ended up mostly not bringing too. But, I can show you what the booth looked like. At this link (which is cued up for the right time), there's about 20 seconds of photos of the booth itself, with everyting I brought. th-cam.com/video/wMLlcCJaciY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aQjVJCwGDP8U2gcI&t=46
Your display looked FAB! Sorry, the sales were so low… Love the garden stakes & Suncatchers! 😎💜🔥 And darn those poltergeists! The acrylic stands will surely turn up for your next show.
Found them! Back of my other car!
I'm sorry the show was slow, good thing it was close by, with no rent. It's very realistic to show folks shows aren't always good though. It was an extra lovely day for folks to go to the beach or mountains.
And in Oregon, we appreciate good weather, so no one wanted to be inside.
GOD BLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry u didn't have a lot of sales. maybe next year🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hoping next year is better. I'm going to do a show in August too!
@@StephFuses I will pray that all goes great for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Those Iris look AMAZING! 💜💜💜
I LOVE ALL OF TABITHA'S ITEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHE DOES AWESOME WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For those that are still trying to order your ring mold, make sure you have created an account with your c.c. on file. When you receive the email with date and time to place your order, you may only be able to get the items in your cart before they are sold out. Leave your ring molds in the cart and be ready for the next batch. Then you will be all set to just hit purchace while in your cart. Good luck
Excellent advice!
I just got my 10 inch mold. I can't wait to use it. For the price I'm so glad you made this video. It will speedup the process, with less guess work. Thanks for the time you took to share. Oh and I just managed to order an 8" as well.
Instead of using the iron, throw them in the dryer. It works good. 😊
That's a great idea! I'll try that first
Steph, you crack me up, I loved this vlog. You sure gave me some more refined ideas on similar projects I hadn't thought through. Thank you for sharing, I know you will do amazingly well! ❣
I'm so glad! I try to be entertaining, but I'm also just being myself.
Hey. Thanks for the video. I am from Oregon, got married in Oregon City and am now living in Mexico. I have had my kiln since December. I like your style, now drink bunches of water, take a Tylenol and relax with a cool rag on your head. ❤
I took some excedrin, drank a ton of water, and took a nap after filming that, and felt a lot better. Then I had some dinner and watched Fallout, and felt much better. I actually live out of OC in the Redland area, and out of there, even. How's fusing going for you?
This video was very helpful. I never intended to sell, but how many trinket dishes can you give your mom?! 😂 I’m also filling all of the empty spaces in my house, so I either have to stop fusing or start selling, and don’t plan to stop fusing! 😉 You’ve provided a wonderful starting point. Thanks so much!!
I can't give my mom too many, she fuses too! But all my friend have glass, and I'm running out of space, lol. I sell online, but only a few pieces, because glass is just so dang hard to photograph.
@@StephFuses Do you find craft fairs and markets worth your time?
Don't use your teeth! You'd better save me a Mom LOL. If I knew you wanted to use that style of stand I could have sent 2 home with you the last time you came. 😉
I didn't even think about telling you while I was there!
Yay! Glad you are using the hair clips I sent! 💜
Yes! time to get them into use!
Thanks for the shoutout! 😎💜🔥
Any time!
So cute - thanks!
glad you like it!
What kiln are you using? I am new and anxious to start, thank you 😊
All my kilns are paragons. 2 are fiber (14" and 16", use household current) and the smallest, a vitrigraph kiln, is brick. You can use whatever brand of kiln you can get your hands on, but I highly recommend anything with a digital controller. It will keep you from tearing your hair out babysitting the entire fusing cycle.
What are you going to do with these glass rings?
The ones I made I don't know. I do want to make a couple mobiles, and I'm thinking about taking the ones that are about 5", and putting a layer of glass in them, and then slumping them into bowls. and a few I want to fuse a pane of 2mm clear to the back of, and then make suncatchers with.
Where did you get your mold?
the 9 heart mold comes from Firelite Forms, it's mold #7055. www.fireliteforms.com/product/7055
Can’t have too many flowers ….. no way …. No how 😻
never ever!
Can you send me ordering info?
Right now the molds aren't widely available, Glass and Stone is making as many as they can, but they're a small place. They release batches of about 100 at a time. If you go to glassandstone.art/ and scroll to the bottom, you can sign up for their newsletter. They post about 24 hours in advance when they're going to be selling molds. I recommend also creating an account on the website and setting your address and billing info, so when you do get an option to buy, you add to cart, click check out, and you're done. They're selling out in about 2-3 minutes right now.
I'm also interested in this
I sure hope I am able to get one SOON
I hope so too!
Thx Steph!! Can you use the chalk multiple times or one and done? If multiple times, any idea about how many times?
I've used the chalk 3 times so far and been fine. I do know eventually it will crumble, but it depends on the heat you're taking it to, how you treat it, how humid your workspace is, etc.
If you shaped the open end of a teaspoon with a pair of pliers so it narrowed the end it would make filling the rings easier. Just saying 😊
I have one of those! I used a vice. But it's buried on my table at the moment
