Drain Pump (4681EA2001T) Replacement. LG Front Load Washer. Detailed Instructions.
Saved our lives today! Thank you!
Perfect instructions! This worked with the LG pump from Amazon. Thorough and great step by step. I would add, our pump housing was not secured with a clip, but rather 3 bolts.
Thank you. Great video. You filled in several key points/functions in the de-install and install that Roma glanced over. Also noteworthy is the whole machine and the repair is visible in your video. The benefit with his is he showed and explained comparisons to the older with the newer machine. Watching both filled in the gaps.
Please tell me this motor run clockwise and anti clockwise
It should only run in one direction.
Thanks for explanation. May i have a question, what for is the hose that You connected last and goes up?
This was awesome, saved me some cash for a repair call.
Glad I could help and thanks for watching.
Thank you for this video . Made my job super easy !
Great to hear, I'm glad you found it helpful.
I feel bad you don't have a drill but thank you for the video
Thanks for watching.
Thanks GTR^2 for the detailed disassembly and assembly. Got mine fixed and down to 58~63dB down from mid 90s. So much quieter and such a relief. One comment. The spring loaded locking nut is keyed. I struggled to get it back on until I realized that the bottom has to be positioned a certain clocked direction or you will not be able to compress it down and lock it. A note to others who might want to go through this procedure.
Our pond is apx 3500 gallons. Can we use the smaller barrels, or should we go to 55 gallon?
I would go with the 55 gallon ones
@@gtrsquared919 Thank you for the follow up !
Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Minor point- the part with the rotating shaft is the rotor and the housing has the stator. Thanks again!

I was able to change the pump from the underside by removing the the plastic cover bottom left front (filter basket and drain hose). The is 1 screw at bottom front (may need to gently pry bracket out to get screw driver shaft on the screw head) and 2 other screws underneath you can see through the rectangle cutout underneath (I also cut some of the plastic bottom for easier access to the bottom side screws during reassembly). Then all you need to do is remove the hoses and rotate the pump assembly out and disconnect the wires to the recirc pump and the drain pump. Both pumps are easy to get to. This saved me from removing the front panel and you don't need a socket set to remove the pump bracket.

They look like common goldfish to me. I do not see any barbels on these. You do have some nice goldfish. They look very healthy too.
Nice filming! 👍
Glad you enjoyed it.
How many gallons was your bog and same for your pond? Thanks
The pond is about 6000 gallons. The bog has a surface area of about 16 to 20 square feet.
None of them are koi...
So then, what do you think they are?
@gtrsquared919 Goldfish
@@gtrsquared919 Some may be mixed with carp
From what I understand Koi can not produce goldfish or common carp offspring.
The only fish I have in my pond are koi.
Thanks man, saved the day. Or should I say, saved my wallet from having to buy the wife a new machine.
Great to hear!
What power is your air pump used please
It's a Matala air pump and has a volume of 65 litres per minute. Model HK-60L
Another happy customer!!! Best self-help video on TH-cam.

Outstanding video. My machine sounded like a 747 taking off and now its back to sounding quiet.
Great! thanks for the compliment, I am happy it worked out for you.
Another happy viewer here. Quiet as a mouse (relative to the 747 taking off it was anyway!). Deffo a bigger, creamier crema too. THANKS!
Thanks for watching!
My wife and I just took our machine apart and replaced the bearing...it works and is so quiet! Like you, the small vertical spring in the front popped off...wasn't sure where it went until we re-watched the video. Thank you for posting.
That's great, I'm happy you found the video useful.
Excellent video. Thanks! I bought my machine 6-7 years ago. When the noise started I putted in the basement and haven't used for 4 years. Accidently got your video searching for my daughter Nespresso repair. I use the link for the bearing and the seller comes with 12 pieces for $13 CAD in Amazon. Parts town Canada is asking for $34 for 1 piece. Took me 20 minutes to repair and my machine is better then when was new. Thanks again!
Happy it worked for you, I know about the bearing prices in Canada, I don't get why they are so expensive here.
I am not a mechanical person at all and am so thrilled I figured this out, thanks to your video. After much trial and error (and very helpful comments), I have my coffeemaker back! I thrifted it for $10, so it has only cost me $18 after this repair (and, I suppose, the astronomical cost of pods). I’m enjoying some Golden Caramel coffee as I wrote this. Helpful hints: - The cover is easier to remove if you spread the back and front on both sides. I gently used flathead screwdrivers to help me keep the back spread as I worked to spread the front and pop it off. - The stainless piece on the water tube needs to have the mouth of the C aligned with a small divot on the place it rests, with the post standing up. If you do not do this your coffee will taste like gritty water. (I had to take it all apart again to fix this). - The front spring arms coil around the post and face outwards on the white plastic piece, not inwards towards the center spring. - The nut over the ball bearing was extremely tight and can be loosened with a ratchet (be careful not to strip the plastic).
I'm glad it worked for you and thanks for posting all the helpful hints!
How do you clean teh bog filter?
Why are the barrels kept step by step? Can we keep all 3 barrels at the same level?
Great Video...was about to toss the machine as the bering had completely seized. QUESTION: Have it all back together and running smooth, but now with a new Pod installed it is making very weak coffee with no froth...any ideas?
Hmm, does it sound like it is spinning the pod fast enough? I do remember getting weak coffee and very little "crema" at one time. I think it is from not spinning fast enough. I just disassembled again, made sure the new bearing was spinning freely and when I put it back together the coffee was fine after that. Comment back to let us know if that fixes it for you.
Tried disassembly and reassembly. Bearing was as good as it ws when I put it in, turns smoothly. Sad to report... Same weak coffee with not much froth and does not fill the pup all the way to the top. I must say the getting the big center spring in was a big task and required a lot of pressure, I had to put the unit on the floor and put all my weight into it to get the top piece to lock in place. The piercer spins easily but something could be binding lightly on it as it does not just whirl around. Any more suggestions before I throw the towel in on this one?
Sorry to hear that, it might be some other issue beyond the bearing that is preventing it to spin up at full speed.
can i please have all the plumbing parts sir. please please
I will put it together and then post it in the comments. Give me a couple of days. Thanks for watching the video.

What are you thoughts regarding cleaning the Gravel after time?
So far, I haven't had to, but I plan on backflushing it this fall when I shut down the pond. Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and provide your comments.
I changed the bearing out in my identical machine in less than 15 minutes, with thanks to your video. Thank you very much for uploading. Fixed for $5 :).
Glad it helped
We did the whole process and placed in a new bearing, the machine worked fine until it did not make coffee but just watery mix. So we took it all apart and checked to make sure everything is seated fine. It seemed like the machine was not sucking water through the lines anymore. We did a reset according to the Nespresso instructions. Still nothing. Has anyone encountered that problem?
Good video, Thx.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment.

Can you come do this to mine🥺
I'm sure you can do it, It isn't too hard.
Thank you! Great video that helped me fix this issue.

Thank you so much for this video!! You gave such clear and detailed instructions. It was easy to follow along (with strategic pausing 😅) and now I have a machine that sounds like it is fresh out of the box. It’s so quiet and I am so great full!!
I'm happy that it worked out for you!
OMG thank you so much
You're welcome!
Much quieter now! However, the coffee is much weaker. I tried doing g the factory reset which seemed to make a difference with only a few cups. Tried the reset again and no luck. Any suggestions?
Hmmm, not sure, the only thing I can think of is that the hose connection has come loose and not all the water is shooting into the pod. I would look at that connection again. The one at about 7:30 into the video.
Nice video great set up
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching. Please subscribe if you haven't done so already.
How do you clean it out?
You can back flush the filter. I haven't had to do it yet, but plan to clean it this year when I shut down for the winter.
Thank you so much. Our bearing had metal shards and I am ordering a replacement. The Amazon link to bearing is helpful. Subscribing to your channel and looking forward to watching the Koi pond videos.
Thanks for watching, I hope the bearing works for you. Stay tuned for more Koi action including the babies update coming soon.

Thanks for your clear guidance . Regards Peter
You are welcome!

Just looking at turning my brick built above ground level pond in to a bog filter to waterfall in to a larger ground level pond. From the UK and a wooden built filter container would last about 2 years max. Really helpful video. Out of interest, would you know the best plants to choose for our climate? 👍
Thanks for watching. You should be able to use the same plants we used in the video as you are in a warmer climate than we are. Otherwise you can do a quick search for marginal aquatic plants for your climate zone.
You can use wood in the UK, you just need to use decent treated wood and keep it out of ground contact properly
