Got one on a quick trip today. Fished for about 30 minutes yesterday and 30 today. Whacked a dandy Even better. Did it solo in a pretty remote spot without a net etc. trout rod and a spinner 😀

Tuna in oil….if you are stuck using store bought eggs, try putting your mornings worth of baits in a container with some tuna in oil from a can. Learned it from some old timers here in southern Oregon.

You scared me everytime that fish ran and you would point the rod straight at him.😮 Rod should alway be bent. Why didnt you walk upstream as he went up stream. Very easy to gain line and get him back under control. Avoid holding a rod above the corks. More rods have exploded from that than any other behavior. Nice fish. Happy for you, but work on rod and reel skills.
