    I know I haven't uploaded as much lately, but I (along with some other creators) are working on some big things for this year. Thanks for all the support and for staying with me!

      Hey Where’s that bridge located in Oregon? I’m in Seattle and would like to take a trip down there. Is there any spots in the willamette river you recommend?

      @@sonnyhooksitup2677 that bridge isn't worth fishing this year fish aren't stacked in there at all this season totally different from last year

    Good stuff bro! My goal is getting into a steelhead or salmon this year. (Ideally without a guide service)

    great fishing man! You ever open to guiding? I'm in Oregon too. Portland area and open to driving a bit. I haven't caught a steelhead yet, and that's the last thing on my list to catch. Was hoping to catch my first steelhead ever this year but no luck. Maybe we can exchange? Ive done okay on chinooks, and coho. I just started fishing for salmon 2 years ago and im always down to explore.

    I’ve never seen a steelie go off and start jumping like that. I wonder if it had a good amount of broken off line hanging out of its mouth and your gear happened to run into it. I have no idea really, just can’t think of anything else that would set it off like that. Oh, and great video by the way👏👏👏

      Fish do that when they’ve been hooked or snagged before. They almost get flashbacks to being hooked when they see a similar lure to what they are and they just go ballistic like they are hooked

    • @OregonReelFishing
      @OregonReelFishing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It actually wasn't too crowded! At first it was just me and two other guys, I've seen that spot hold 6-8 people so it wasn't too bad

    • @Lukethesteelheadmaster
      @Lukethesteelheadmaster 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I know people love to crowd in. It just ruins the experience when you show up early to get a spot just to have people come intrude. Its a small river even 3 is alot for that spot. Have fun out there ill be done now.

    I personally don’t think you should kill a fish if your gonna give it away.

    • @OregonReelFishing
      @OregonReelFishing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It was for a refugee family from Haiti who loves to eat fish. It was going to a good cause!

    • @shawnbowen6833
      @shawnbowen6833 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Why? I know lots of steelhead fishermen who don't eat fish but give them away. Lots of people love receiving fresh steelhead or salmon as a gift. Its super expensive to buy in a supermarket and probably crap quality too. Plus the angler pays for a license and tag and hatchery fish are there for us to take. So regardless of what he does with the fish as long as he buys the tags for it he can do whatever he wants.

      @@OregonReelFishing and if he didn’t tag it witch I’m sure he didn’t but you did, and you leave the warden will bust him for being in possession of a fish while not on his tag.
