We drove a $1/night RV from Los Angeles to San Francisco!!

  • This was my first time ever inside a motorhome, much less driving one! We rented this 28' Class C Leprechaun for $1/night on transfercarus.com, a website that matches drivers with rental vehicles that need to be relocated. I'd been watching the transfercar website for years, but never had a need for a last-minute rental match up with their availability until this trip, when our Frontier flight from ONT-SFO was canceled a month before travel.
    We had 3 nights to move from LA to SF. Additional nights were possible for a significantly higher fee (in line with standard rental pricing) but we didn't really have extra time for this trip anyway.
    It was an incredibly memorable trip as you can see in the video, but I don't think we will do a relocation RV rental again. If we do an RV trip in the future it will be a much slower, longer journey.

    California requires your tank drainage tube to be elevated off the ground on a bridge to drain.

      Good catch and that makes sense. This was the one and only time I ever used it and the campsite person set it up for me lol
