Hey Steve! That's correct, your iPad is connected to your computer via a network connection. This connection can either be wired via Ethernet or USB, or wireless via Wi-Fi if you have a good stage router. You could try using Ubiquiti routers - I've had good experiences with those so far, but if it's possible, I'd always recommend a wired connection over a wireless one to avoid interference by wireless mics, IEMs, and other signals in a venue. Your band members could also use a tablet or phone with a browser to access the lyrics as long as they're on the same network as your playback machines. If you don't want them to be able to control playback, you can set up a password within AbleSet. I hope this helps, let me know if you have any further questions or feedback! :)

Hey there! To be able to jump to sections while Live is playing, you'll need to ensure that these sections have a locator. If you're using a sections track, you can have AbleSet automatically place locators at the start of each section clip. Hey Brandon! You don't need any Max for Live devices to use the Floor Vista with AbleSet - once you plug it in, it will work automatically. This also means that you can use Live Intro, Live Lite or Live Standard with the Floor Vista.

Hey Adam! Unfortunately, since the Stream Deck is not a MIDI controller, it can't be connected to both computers at once via a PlayAUDIO1U. However, by default, AbleSet forwards all commands from the Stream Deck to your other computer when AbleNet is enabled. To make this more robust and to account for AbleSet completely crashing on the machine your Stream Deck is connected to, you can set up the Bitfocus Companion integration to directly send all commands to both computers by adding their IP addresses in the configuration. Let me know if you have any further questions! :)

For now, this can only be set globally, but setting the quantization per song or section sounds interesting! Would you like AbleSet to change the quantization when a new song or section is reached or rather before, when jumping to a given song or section? For the first case, you could create a workaround using OSC tracks: ableset.app/docs/osc-tracks/ Create a new OSC track and then place a clip spanning each song or section where you'd like to change the global quantization. Then name the clip **/global/quantization 1** where 1 is the number of bars. Allowed values are: 8, 4, 2, 1, 1/2, 1/2T, 1/4, 1/4T, 1/8, 1/8T, 1/16, 1/16T, 1/32, none I hope this helps! :)

For now, AbleSet only works in arrangement view. Would that work for your use case? :)

You can also hard-wire everything and still run AbleSet in a redundant setup, no need for WiFi :)

Hey Desmond, unfortunately AbleSet currently only supports one song per project file. This is something I’d like to improve in a future version, but for now I’d recommend either merging the two project files into one or splitting them both into one project file per song.

The Safe Mode disables jumping to a different song or section while Live is playing to prevent mistakes that might cause a song to be interrupted. I hope this helps :)

Unfortunately, you currently need to have a locator at sections that you want to be able to jump to while Live is playing. This is due to a limitation with Live's third-party plugin system.

AbleSet just sends an OSC command when the beginning of a clip is reached - the length of OSC clips doesn't matter in this case. If you'd like to shorten the time that the message stays on screen, you can add it as an additional parameter in milliseconds. For example, to only show the notification for one second, send this command: /notify/big all "pause in 5 sec" 1000 Let me know if this works for you! :)

I'm glad you like the update! I could imagine adding an option to hide all song information from the performance page, which would leave you with just the lyrics on the left and the setlist on the right, along with playback controls that you can hide if you don't need them. Would that work for your use case?

Enter Shikari use one big project file that contains all songs. This means that jumping between songs doesn't require loading a new project file, so it can happen instantly.

That's already possible using AbleSet's MIDI mapping and OSC features. You can assign buttons to solo or unsolo, mute or unmute, or toggle the state of the click track in the MIDI mapping settings, depending on what you need. Please let me know if you have any further questions! 😊

Hey Isaac, in this video, both computers are connected to the PlayAUDIO12 via USB using a USB-B to USB-C cable and to a router using Ethernet dongles. I hope this helps!

I'm glad you like it! Regarding the issue, could you check if you have the AbleSet Controller and LTC Display devices loaded in your Ableton project? They provide the information that is displayed on the Stream Deck.

This device requires either Live Suite or Live Standard with the Max for Live extension. To load it into your project, simply drag the file onto a track of your choice.
