    Thanks , thanks. Very useful for my towbar project. Bumper had to be removed for this and thanks to you it was an easy job. However , It wasn't necessary to remove the amplifier on my 2007 QP .

    Adrian, all things considered, what would you recommend for doing the passenger rear window regulator on an 07 M139? Mine just failed today. Would you recommend a repair kit, or should I really go out of my way for a complete regulator? I’m assuming only Maserati has it….not sure if they are aftermarket complete regulators.

      Hi there, if you search eBay for ‘Quattroporte window regulator rear’ there is a complete setup excluding the motor. I’ve just bought one for the front as my opposite to the one I fixed using the repair kit containing sliders and cables has now failed. Will report how it compares.

    I love Wales. Nice untouched unspoilt area as well. My sister lives just 30 miles past Carmarthon. The summers down there are great. We often walk the trails.     Hi Adrian. I've trawled through the forums, can't seem to find out how to change the windscreen washer pump on the M139 (think it's behind the pax side wheel arch?). Any idea please? Sorry to ask, I know you are not an agony aunt but thought you may have the knowledge!?

      Hi Nick, I think it is mounted to or behind the washer bottle. The bottle is fastened at bottom to a bracket on the chassis using nut and bolt. Same at top. Remove the front under tray and you will be able to access the nut and bolt at bottom. Think you disconnect tubes, undo nuts and bolts & lift out bottle or drop out bottom.     Great Vid, but any idea how to pop the boot when the key release cable doesnt work ( even by pulling it manually ) and there is absolutely no power to the car (battery is disconnected). This the problem I currently have. I've tried everything I can find on the net so far, but still can't get it open!

      Hi, when you say pulled it manually, do you mean that you removed the trim plate and boot release to expose the cable and then pulled it? If so, sounds like the cable may have detached from the latch. This video th-cam.com/video/NBDsYSeVAIc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ksUPAWyP4WQ6qRof shows the mechanism inside the boot. Not sure if this helps. Not sure how you will access the latch without being able to remove the inner boot lid liner. Is the boot release motor dead?

      @@AdrianLeggettUK Yeah cheers Adrian, removed the back plate, noticed the cable had popped off behind where it attaches to the key mechanism, pulled it many times with some force, can feel it attached to something, but its taught. Pulling on it whilst pressing the boot lid didnt release. Obviously can't access the inner liner as the boot is still shut!, trying to work out how to get power to the actuator to see if that releases it but not sure how to do it. Tried power through the bonnet method, but didnt seem to work yet , but that was with one of those little boost batteries. Going to try a proper battery next!, but definitely running out of ideas!

      Yeah success! its was all down to the lack of amount of juice I was putting in... made a makeshift cable to the anchoring point in the front fusebox under the bonnet, Negative anchored to bonnet release catch, jumpleads to my mates qp5 battery, dash electrics fired up, and eventually the boot lock actuator released after a few attempts from the key fob but not the dashboard button.. so next job is to order a new boot release cable, reattach and hopefully that should solve the problem.. should be back up and running within a couple of weeks! So that answer is yes, it does work when the main battery is disconnected :)

    Hello, glad to see you back again. On my GS I fitted electronic ignition. The difference was very noticible. The wiring on the bike was in good nick so never had to mess with that. Thanks for posting, have fun....

    Hi, if you are going to strip and clean the carbs in a video, please will you mention the jets sizes and mixture Settings as I have the same bike with pods and it’s being a nightmare to set up. If I can get ur settings at least it will be the right ballpark I’m hoping 👍🏻

      Hi, yes it is a full strip down and rebuild. I will definitely be looking at the jets and setup as it was hesitant on the throttle and pickup. The pods look good but (not these ones) but I understand are troublesome. Cheers Ade

    Turned out quite nice. When I did the cases on my 1976 CB/CG125J I used paper, soft wire wall clean clothes and solvo autosol. took a while but they came up good. Thanks for posting....

      No noise but the inner edge of the tyre had extreme wear and steering felt loose. Took it for tracking and they could not adjust tracking as pinch bolt was seized.

    hi Adrian, i am enjoying watching your videos. I have a question . My MAZ QP 2006 has 4 window switches plus a couple of lock buttons on the driver side. My drivers window has started to act up and pressing the RHS button lowers the window only a fraction . Multiple presses will get it right down but this takes 5 minutes. All other 3 window switches work fine. I have stripped down the door and unplugged and removed the switch assembly and cleaned it up. After cleaning the PCB It looks to me like there is probably a blown resistor on the board . I am assuming that as the window does eventually go down and then up after multiple presses this is where the problem lies.. Would you agree with this analysis . EG: it is not the cables etc inside the door. The Part number on the switches is 501201350015 or possibly 203076. any ideas where i can get a replacement/spare ? . thanks in advance !

      Cost was £30 for blasting and £60 for Cerakote. This should have been much more.

      @@robertwatkins5742 yes they sure have. Personally I would not powder coat anything anymore. I’d use Cerakote.

    My car cranks but not starting, Scanner shows camshaft sensor. Will it help please to change sensors like in your film? Thank you, best regards

      It could be the cause of it not starting. Breaking down cam sensors can stop sending signal to ECU and turn off spark and fuel.

      Slightly. People I’ve seen drive and review the car say they are jerky. Drive it right and it’s not. I find it quite smooth.

    Great job Adrian, thanks for what you do. This is off topic, but you know what I would love to see for M139s? Accessible wiring diagrams. I’ve look at every resource, including alldata, Mitchell ondemand, some “factory” manuals you find online, and I cannot find a single wiring diagram anywhere. If you know of a source, please inform me.
