Miercoles (a love story)

My partner Jai and I spend the day documenting our love. Equipped with a new (to us) Pentax K1000, a heartfelt Valentine's day gift for Jenny, alongside my trusty Fuji X-E1, Olympus OM-G, Sony FX 30, and the ever-present iPhone. Here is short film to show our love and how the day unfolded.

Thaaanks!
This is divine 🥺
Thank you ✨
This video made my finally buy an X-E1. My main is X-S10 but I wanted something a little smaller for walking around, and you really helped with that! Thanks for putting your time into this video, and for being yourself! Earned a sub 😊👍🏼
Thank you for watching! Welcome 🙏🏽✨
Commenting now so that I can brag later that I was here before this blew up! Absolutely wonderful stuff! <3
You're the best! Thank you 🙏🏽
Just discovered this song and I am in love with it already!
That makes me so happy! Thank you ❤
Very Timber Timbre vibes
Ooh, love Timber Timbre! Thanks 🙏🏽
I'm definitely keeping this one.
Please do!😊
The rare occasion when the TH-cam algorithm actually brings me something amazing.
Love it! Thanks for watching
I love your music ❤... Finally the algorithm found something really beautiful for me! Greetings from Germany!
Welcome! Thanks for stoping by
Being a video producer myself, and a former musician with a huge love for vintage gear, this was absolutely amazing all together!
Aww thanks for watching!
When you use the cassete recorder do you also use that for the guitar tone?
Yep this is straight in to the 4 track with a little tremolo pedal
@@InaiahLujanMusic That is super cool and sounds great!
Its insane that this has 187 views, I wanna come back in a year to 10 million. Good luck bro.
Let’s hope so! 🤙🏽
That was a wonderful video presentation. I enjoyed it a lot. I have an XE 2 and I will never sell it. 😊
Thanks for watching!
incredible video editing and this song is lovelyyy, thank you for sharing ❤
Thank you for your kind words and for watching / listening 🙏🏽✨
I don't know how I ended up here, but I'm glad I did. Cool stuff dude!
Thanks for stopping by!
this gives indie movie vibes I love it !!
High compliment, thank you! 🙏🏽
Beautifully recorded. Really lovely track. But where on earth do you find cassettes these days?
They’re out there lol, I just reused a tape I had though.
And why isn't this song on a movie soundtrack? Love your work Inaiah, it was great to hear you live several times at the Western Jubilee in Colorado Springs.
Thank you for your kind words!
I have one of these.. It’s not perfect, but I’ll never sell it. 🙂
❤Love your love! I’m so impressed by your cinematic skills ✨🥰
Aww, thank you 🙏🏽✨
beep beep -- what is that? Is this still recording? LOL Nice job on this video! I love my X-E1, often paired with the 7artisans 18mm f6.3 body cap lens. Just a great camera to have with me in the bag always. I often enjoy shooting B&W for sure and will try out your film simulation. Does it have a name yet? Subscribed.
I should name it!!! I’ll think about it. Thanks for the sub
love this vibe man... what a kind man, blessings on all your journeys brother ...
I appreciate that!
Great, thanks for the video. How much did you get yours for?
Bought used on eBay for $395 USD
Thank you so much for this video! I’ve been curious about jumping into Fuji after using Sony for years. I love your current approach to photography and you’ve echoed a lot of what I’m looking for (more intentional photos while simplifying post processing). I’m excited to get my hands on one of these now!
I love that for you! I really think you’ll love Fuji. Follow my photo journey at @truluphoto in IG. I will follow back! Thanks for watching 🙏🏽✨
love you clips..
hi guys, I recently got a X-E1, I want to use it to make a videoclip for a artist, with your advise the x-e1 can make a good nice view Videoclip or I just stick to another camera?
I have not tested or used the video functions on the XE-1. Let me know how it goes
Very interesting video, thank you. By coincidence I have just purchased a used XE1 (today). I'm intrigued by the jpeg hype. I have the XT1 & 5, however the EX1 looks like my old Leica M240. Of all my previous cameras it's tactileness it was excellent to use. The price for body and lenses I think is an enjoyment spoiler. If the Fuji images could come close it would be awesome.
I shoot more with my X-T1 these days. But still love the XE-1. There is something about the images at of the X-E1 that just hit different though.
i appreciate you puting a grey background to the photos instead of searing my retina with white
Thanks for that feedback! I know what you mean lol
Do better. Half of those never should have been exposed.
Good day! Thank you for your feedback. Which half?
Absolutely enjoyed this video. Very inspiring shots. 💯📷🙂
Thank you for saying so! I appreciated you 🙏🏽
LOVE it.
Aww thanks Shannon 🩶🖤🩶
What a heartwarming encounter! @ 11:40 Just want to take the opportunity to say I've learned some of your tunes Inaiah, and I play them for my mother, my wife & my son. We all love the art that came from that part of your journey, and I'm here to continue enjoying what unfolds. Grateful to be sharing this moment in space/time with you, brother!
What a sweet thing to say and share with me. Thank you 🙏🏽
Enjoying the journey my friend! Looking forward to more :D
I appreciate the love friend, you know what goes in to this! Big fan of your journey as well. 🙏🏽👏🏽🫶🏽🔥
Great Video!! Really inspiring!! Looking to find an xe1!!
Go for it!
I shot weddings with 2 of those and an X-Pro 1 a long while ago.. Bought used for around $175 each before the prices jumped. Zeiss Touit 32mm & Fuji 18mm, 23mm were my 3 lenses. Ahh the good old days...Cheers!
Fuji X-E1 lover here! I do have more modern cameras (from other brands) and always end up deciding to use my x-e1 x-t1 and x-t2. There’s something special about old xtrans sensors and the tactile experience! Enjoy your x-e1!!
I’m with You all the way!!! 👍📷
I agree. I love the older sensors of the X-T (Pro) 1, 2 and 20 much more. I don't know what it is, but the colors have some special flair.
Absolutely agree! Love my XT-1 so much.
Love your music
It’s an artist called Narpy and the song is Cherry Blossoms 🌸
Great review, and insight into your thoughts and methods.
Thank you 🙏🏽
2012 was a sweet spot for cameras. XE1 is super fun and barely noticeable on the wrist. I recently got a Leica M240 that I love to death. Companies were figuring out how to get some classic tone and feel in the sensors, but things hadn't become so digital and raw focused. Retro lenses make fantastic images on these type of cameras too. I don't even touch the new bodies anymore.
Absolutely agree!
Thumb up for take about TH-cam “photographer” who are not photographer but gear heads salling a gear to the newbee hobby photographers. The fact is that in photography the biggest challange is to achieve deepth of field. 9 out of teh 10 type of photography is about to achive as deep as possible focus and not shallow one. Think about Macro, Landscape,Architecture, Product,Corporate,Travel and more then often portrait photography. It was always a struggle on a medium format and not to mention large format to achieve deep depth of field i.s.o shallow one where almost no skills are needed beside keeping someone or something steady to nail the focus.
A lesson I’ve learned by shooting film and have brought back to digital photography. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙏🏽
color in this video could not get worse
Thank you for the feedback. What is it about the color that you dislike?
@@InaiahLujanMusic just make it more grey next time
I own two X-E1's because of the original sensor that is the same as the Xpro1. Both cameras have M42 lense adapters for quick hyperfocal street photography with M42 lenses. While my Xpro1 has the Fujifilm M adapter for my Voigtlander M lenses. I had the X-E2 and sold it and went back to the X-E1 just for the filmlike images that it brings. As for quick photos I also use a my X-A1 with 27mm for quick on the go shots. Again with the original sensor.
Thanks for sharing! I’m interested in trying some longer focal lengths anything you’d recommend?
Great video, love the vibe! I'm really considering buying one!
Go for it!
