- My journey continues with laying some foundation and figuring out my work flow as a new Filmmaker. I'm teaching myself Divinci Resolve 18 and working to keep a consistent filming, editing and color grading regiment.

Amazing video! Is possible to magnify to check focus while in rec? Thanks!
That’s a great question, you can use focus magnifier to check focus, I’m not 100% if that feature is available while recording. I’ll have to get back to you on that. I know I use the focus magnifier a lot, especially with manual lenses or while in manual focus mode, if I use while in record I’m not conscious of it
hi there. I do video only.I have a Sony a6400-similar to the a6600- and I want to get a FX30 to do a 2 camera interview shoot...with my 6400 I don't use SLog...just neutral profile in the creative style...some lumetri in post and I have footage I can use quickly...how could I match my a6400 with the FX30 without using Slog? Does the FX30 have a neutral creative style? or would my best option be to use sony S-Cinetone in the FX30? I guess I can reduce saturation , contrast and sharpness a bit. I just want footage I can use with minimum post production...thanks
To get the most out of your gear I would highly recommend learning to shoot with and grade slog. It was intimidating for me at first but once I dedicated myself to learning, it’s been a dream to work with and honestly doesn’t add a ton of post production, and fits seamlessly in to my workflow.
That said… if you’re set on using creative profiles, the FX30 does have a neutral profile available, although I cannot speak to it being consistent to that of the Sony a6400. I’ve also heard S-Cinetone is great for straight out of camera ready to go footage, but have not used it personally.

@@InaiahLujanMusic sadly I didn't have the time to capture new footage to test it properly. But with some older footage it worked quite well. And I didn't complete the course as of today, so there is still something to learn :)
But it's a complete different approach, so I thought it would be interesting for you, as you wanted to challenge yourself more this year.

Going to do a kit break down soon! Right now Sony 11mm f/1.8, sigma 16mm f/1.4, sigma 30mm f1/4, Helios 44-2 58mm f/2, Samyang 85mm f/1.2 i think those are right that’s off the top of my head. Kit break down vid coming soon
