Pink Floyd has always been trippy as F while also being super badass rockers at the same time. A seductive combination for me...their earthy melodic blues, hard rock, and trippy vibes throughout....gets up in your head like no other band. The ONLY reason I took up an instrument is because of these guys and the only reason I play a Fender Strat is because of David Gilmour's emotive tone drenched guitar work, and his EPIC searing soaring scorching Strat solos.

yeah late to the party but, no one seems to have mentioned this is a concept album base on the movie "Dead Again" where you will meet all the characters mentioned in the song with a great twist at the end

a 70's classic. this was a uk hit in the early 70's this band is still touring. so 50 years dave brock must be doing something right.. my fave' band. this is typical of yheir early stuff. i think the drummer was terry ollis. bass was lemmy. a great line up

one of my fave' bands. i must have been to 20 plus concerts. even had a white out at one concert and got escorted out for dealing at another concert. life's conplicated . funny i can play a lot of hendrix stuff but i cant work out the solo from this simple 8 bar tune

Dream Theater is simply "in the zone" translated into music. They are clearly in the zone on this one.

You kinda need to hear the entire song, this is just the end. Genesis actually has a handful of material/riffs from their early years that would fit right in with Metal.

Babymetal aren't pure form heavy metal and don't claim to be. They are a hybrid of J-pop with metal influences and I personally think it works. 'The One' doesn't attempt to sound metal but instead offers vibes of old school progressive rock with an epic style akin to 'Dream Theatre'.

Guano Apes were quite popular in continental Europe and Russia in late 90s and early 2000s, not in America/Britain. More that 20 years have passed, but I still love them, love Sandra so much :)

Any song you choose is representative of BABYMETAL, the truth is you either like it or not, I appreciate the honesty. About the name of the band it’s a play word on Heavy Metal & it means newborn Metal, in other words they created a subgenre of Metal called KAWAIIMETAL; Cute Metal, it’s a fusion of Metal & POP or J-POP, whatever you want to call it. They are known for their inconsistent mystical style of mixing any genre with Metal. But well I have to say it’s sad to see that some people still judge bands because of appearance or something influential that makes them think what they are experiencing is not mature or doesn't sound “proper”, but well it’s one of the reasons BABYMETAL exists so the genre can try breaking these chains...

For some reason, they were BIG in Portugal in early 2000's. They still played a concert in a summer-fest somewhere in the countryside a couple years ago and it was packed.

The girl was Stacia Blake, a dancer/performance artist who became part of the band for live performances. She often went topless on stage, or completely naked and covered in iridescent paint. Accounts vary as to whether she joined after jumping on stage with an impromptu display of her talents, or if Nik Turner brought her in after meeting her (according to his account, he was the one who insisted on the nudity & paint.) She was a striking presence on stage, being six feet tall (possibly 6 feet 2 inches according to Lemmy, who also claimed she had a 52 inch bust.) That’s about as much as I know regarding her services to the band..

This is not my favorite metal song or even my favorite Testament song but this is probably my favorite guitar solo. It has both the technicality and the emotion that flows with the song.

HAWKWIND AND OTHERS

Hawkwind were a big "free festival band". Played every Stonehenge festival. I saw them once in a lay-by on the A303 when they played to about 100 of us. Police had stopped us getting anywhere near Stonehenge. Hugely influential band. This was probably their most "poppy song".

Searching for the date of birth of the violinist Jill I found two sources, both agree that she was born on February 17, but one indicates the year 1983 and the other 1987.😕

Rotting Christ "devadvam" it's one hell of a song you have give this a listen
