I just turned 64yo yesterday. I've been a "big tuff construction worker" all my life. But everytime I watch this clip, I get all this salty watery stuff leaking from my eyes. Such emotion from every one of these beautiful women.
Weird, right? I don't even cry at funerals, but this song just does it.

Ahh, the side of Metal that has been overlooked by so many modern Metal bands - the Power Ballad. And the real Power in this song is just how connected and heartfelt Asami's voice is in this recording. She is singing not just with her beautiful voice, but also with her heart and her soul. Haruna's drums masterfully counterpoint the melody with her fills, and Miho is restrained but ever present on the bass. Miyako''s lead pays homage to one of her heroes - Gary Moore. And then the final lead phrases end with Midori's emotional and powerful solo. The only word for this song is EPIC! Thanks Granny for a wonderful and respectful analysis and Reaction to this piece of Musical Art. Edited to add: Just how BADASS is Miyako playing the piano during the melody with her guitar slung around her neck?

Thank you for coming back to Lovebites--you should do this more often. Plenty of metal bands can bang, scream and shred, but it takes special talent to pull off a ballad. Lovebites just showed us how it's done.

well - harleys are not especially known for low end speed but i get where you're going with this ! my first bike i bought in '71 was a crate job '65 sportster 900. everything was there. all i bought was new rubber and a battery. and about 2 months of intensive labor - with a lot of help - to get it pieced together. wish i had kept it. i'm turning 69 this week and after about 60 years of steppenwolf - get your motor runnin' - and similar bands LOVEBITES is now in my top 3 bands ever. you need to hear more and see for yourself. don't think i've seen your name in the comments before but here's the live version of their song 'set the world on fire' from last year. you won't believe what you are seeing. and by the way speaking of steppenwolf are you aware that in 'born to be wild' john kay coined the phrase 'heavy metal'. heavy metal thunder. if you have never - - - listened to the cd 'clockwork immortality' that this is the final song on - you really need to hear it start to finish. my favorite album in at least the last 30 or so years. you will find the perfect mix of every style of music that LOVEBITES does. there has not been a band this complete in that time i know of.
