nice one ! you looked well chuffed when you had set it up ... its nice too achieve a setup that fits our own needs like a glove .. each one different .. but equally special !
Cheers mate and I was really pleased with how it all turned out, and a little bit relieved as well after shelling out all that money without being 100% sure it was the right mount for my rig and the vision for how I wanted the monitor to sit in relation to my seating position. But I am really chuffed and has upped my sense of immersion with a much better located monitor.
I am really impressed with how versatile this mounting system turned out to be and if i ever get the room for triples its nice to know i can just build out from that mount.
I think my wife has come to realization that it’s to late to say anything now as she can see I am far to far down the sim racing rabbit hole to stop me now 🤷♂️
Looks awesome Jason! Glad to see the Trak Racer kit works well with the Evo. I have an Evo as well so it’s great to learn some mix and matching might work depending on use case.
I really need to do something about that cable management now I’ve got the rig sorted but I just can’t bring myself to get started. The mix and matching aspect was something I could not find a lot of details about so did have my fingers crossed at the time of purchase that it would all come together ok.
I did a fair amount of adjustment for both depth and height with my 34" monitor still mounted without any major issues, i just made sure i only loosen the bolts enough to allow me to wiggle the mounting about rather than allow it to freely slide.
So far been very impressed with the rigidity of the whole setup and the Sim Lab 80/40 rig has enough strength and weight to hold the mount steady. As for the VESA mount well it’s just a cheap one from Amazon - TV Wall Mount, Ultra Slim Fixed... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0833PJ269?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share - but it’s not brilliant when it comes to making slight adjustments so I will be replacing it soon.
@@Axelc86 I would say so as the brackets included are some of the best I used for profile rigs and I will be upgrading my others as and when I make any significant modifications to my setup, they is just no flex, play or weakness in this mounting system.
I think I just used the pictures on their website if I remember rightly. Once you get all the parts out you soon find out there’s not that many ways it can be built, plus I knew I was going to adapt it slightly to suit my needs better any way so just sort of winged it.
I took it off while I was moving the monitor as I just knew I would end up somehow scratching something as it’s all a bit close for someone as clumsy as me. It’s back on now mate.👍
@meecob yes mate it’s back and doing a great job for an age old Fire tablet that was hardly cutting edge when it was new ! These kind of jobs always run away time wise but worth when they are done and dusted.
Love it, it's perfect! Just got this today after using a monitor arm mount for a while.
Nice one mate glad it was just what you needed for your setup.
@@SimRacingJason yep it is, although the arm is good for other games and watching videos/movies, it has the tiniest of shakes every now and again.

This is a great system and it allows you to upgrade to triples eventually.

A beautiful rig Mate. I plan to get one one day but getting past the Missus is my hardest job, that doesn't come with instructions either... LOL!

@@SimRacingJason re: cable mgmt. Oh ya been there, still there 😅.
Very good work, very nice stuff!! Have fun with it!! 🍀☀️👍
Thanks mate I am 👍
Question I should be able to safely loosen the 4 bolts and slide my monitor forward with out removing the monitor correct?
With help of course?

I have a tr80lite and the monitor mount but uses the 4040 extrusion and it wobbles a bit. Also what vesa mount is that

I have a simlab P1-X, thinking on buy this monitor support and add a 4th monitor too, do you think it can handle a motion sim?

Where did you get the build manual?

I’m convinced u won lotto
Not yet mate, but it’s how I plan on paying for everything so keep your fingers crossed my numbers come up and soon !
Where is the "Worlds cheapest Sim Racing Dash" ?

@@SimRacingJason cool. As long as it's back on. It must of been a nightmare setting it all up again. Thank god for video editors. Lol
