I played all the way through BG3 one time, it was a lot of fun. I played through Wrath of the righteous three times and have about 15 or so partial play throughs and I just started another one and I continue to love it every time I play it and will continue playing it for a very long time, can you tell which game I prefer?

These games are more for people who have patience and are into good lore. TikTok people and ones with low attention span will find them boring of course.

I'm sure you yourself probably already know because you said you played multiple times but for anyone watching the video that might be on the fence of which game to play, the combat in WotR can be switched to turn based mode if they want where you'll have the order of peoples turns at the top of the screen just like BG3. Basically my opinion on which game someone should go for falls like this: Pick WotR if: You want seemingly endless customization options for your characters If you tend to suffer from Too Good to Use Syndrome with your abilities (you tend to get a lot more charges for your spells and stuff than you would in BG) You're either fine missing out on some things OR you're willing to use a guide to help you with a walk through (Owlcat likes putting puzzles with clues somewhere on the map but nothing to point you to why that would be the clue (ex. 6 rooms before the room you're currently in there are 4 paintings on one wall which colours will determine which switches you need to click in which order). This can make it feel even more rewarding when you figure out the puzzle but can also just lead to you not being able to figure it out because you don't know what's pointing you to the solution) You want to play a Kitsune Pick BG3 If: You want a more cinematic experience (graphics are a lot better, more dialogue, ect) You want to play WITH friends (WotR is only single player) You want to make it feel like the story is evolving around your choices (you do get this in WotR too but I just feel the depth of the differences is far more in BG3) You want to play a Druid* (WotR DLC kind of fixes this with the Shifter class it seems but base game Druid in WotR is pretty lackluster compared to the other classes xD)

agree with what u said about handcrafted combat encounters, just started wotr after playing bg3 twice and bg3 does this so much better

Personally, I think both games could take cues from Pillars of Eternity and the original BG series when it comes to environmental design. Areas like Athkatla or Neketaka have the feeling of being real places. Owlcat's games have a distinctly gamey feeling to their environments and Larian has detailed environments, but they also feel a bit gamey. By gamey, in mean contrived for gameplay purposes, as opposed to feeling natural. Chapter 3 Drezen is a serious offender in this regard, being very obviously a hub area and not a real place. Also, Larian environment suffer from being overly dense. Doing basically anything in BG3 feels like a slog. Perhaps most egregious is the container spam. As a compulsive completionist, this is extremely annoying.

Still need to give WotR a play through myself but my love for BG3 at this point, i worried might cloud my judgement. Fantastic video as always!

Both are good games, BG3 gets it for presentation, but for tactical depth and build variety WotR can't be stopped.

As disturbing as it is, I think a lot of young women resign themselves to sexual servitude within their romantic relationships because they don't believe they have choice/don't know any better. As a 26 year old woman from a Catholic background I didn't start saying "no" to sex until 2022 when I met a group of friends who taught the concept of consent and respectful relationship. For context my own mother has always taught me that sex is a chore women endure for men's pleasure. I found this book boring, but I think Zevin captures the nuance of what it's like to be a woman growing up in cultures and family's with patriarchal and "traditional" undertones

DNF at 60%. This book irritated the crap out of me. As a girl, as a gamer and as a woman who's been in an abusive relationship...this book was awful. Period. So glad I'm not alone in this.

My thoughts after finishin Pivots Chapter: What bugs me is Saddie not only getting in an abusive relationship with Dov and her not really coming to terms with it (why does she still keep contact even) ...But that the book is trying to make her look like an empowered woman, when she isn´t So, she wants to make it in the gaming industry as one of the few girls... yet she was overshadowed by the male producers in the book. For Both Sides, Mapletown the ideas that made these good (or at least Both Sides not flop entirely) came from Sam and Marx. Saddie made the engine that was good...but it didn´t really impacted the story or another hit production. For Ichigo...both Sam and Saddie had ideas...but Sam wasn´t shown to be struggling so much with designing whereas Saddie had to use Dovs engine to make it work. This would be okay if the story made an actual effort of her breaking free from Dov, coming to terms with it and moving on as a stronger person. But it doesn´t do it aside from a shallow way. A popular side game of Sams and Saddies company also had a male producer team. So...Saddie is really overshadowed up until now. It doesn´t helöp that she is written as less likeable than Sam. Sam also doesn´t has the best character developement but he gets a bit more in his reasoning, backstory. This on top with the whole Dov thing makes her look quite the oppisite than the book is trying to convey. It could have worked if structured in a way that she has to grow to make it. Which is isn´t by how the book is written. Anotehr thing bothering me is that it is a story about friendship...yet it was revealed Sam had romantic feelings towards her most of the time. I wanted to read about friendship without the love aspect for once. This is destroying the whole premise. Not to mention they keep making similar mistakes in their friendship and not really grow from it. The only aspect intact is it about young people getting gaming developers. The issues they faced on this front were written good so far but also we have missing a define end goal here. It is just something is missing. I am just really disappointed with it and will stop reading.

Still a fan of ESO after playing 5 years. A lot of game play changes, and I thoroughly enjoy the Telvanni Peninsula, Apocrypha, and the Arcanist class. I still haven't tried Diablo 4. I started with the OG back in the day. Diablo 2 scared me to pieces! Loved D3, but keep hearing mixed reviews on D4. Thanks for your rankings and comments!

Sadie’s character ruined the WHOLE book for me. I gave this a 2 star rating and was so frustrated by everyone who kept hyping it up. Yes, Zevin is a good writer. I mean the book isn’t generic or boring. I just cannot understand why someone would give this a 5 star rating 😂 it’s driving me insane. But it’s also not my issue because at the end of the day everyone has their own opinions. I’m just glad I’m not alone in the fact that I didn’t care for this book that much.

I agree needed a good editor to be decent. The Dov thing felt so odd cause Sadie was so angry at Sam for forcing her to interact with Dov, but has no problem with Dov?

Great review. The previous game was very good, it grew on me over time and im fond of it. Nox felt like a big step BACK wards, am i nuts? I remember playing for an entire day, and i was still in that first city, i was just so tired of being stuck there, it wasnt interesting. I ended up quitting, im sure it gets better but i just was baffled by it. I gotta get a ps5 copy somehow, if i can get it cheaply and give it a proper go. But i remember really disliking the 12 or so hours i played. Dana definitley had a slow start too, but the island you are on was so wonderful, i didnt mind at all. The city youre in, here, is just so blah

Rip and tear, the DOOM SLAYER is here!!! Sorry for late notice but i will say this about this film: OH SNAP!!!! Talk about escalation in massive proportions. This film got me really immersed of how the curse of spider-man has really weighed heavily upon so many characters and in the forefront is our boy Miles who faced a dilemma that will forever affect his life. The story is great, gwen and miles are absolutely incredible with their stories slowly becoming intertwined with the situation that is getting more and more disastrous. I would talk about more about the film but that would take way too long, so got to say this was quite the experience and one hell of a continuation and real excited to see the next film the following year!!! Great video Pretty and Derek!!!!!
