This is a very firm, but fair review. Great job 👍
My buddy gifted it to me and I'm enjoying it but I can definitely see the missing potential. I've never been into MMOs but the one thing that strikes me is that it does nothing to switch up the MMO grind; some people may be okay with that but I know it's going to grate on me after a few weeks or months. I often find myself wishing the game was just a single player open-world survival game that you could co-op with friends rather than having hundreds of players running around into your quest area and stuff. It's a damn shame.
I agree with you completely. I will say that the game NOW post Brimstone Sands is in a better state than it was when I made this video.

Bad but fun... that sounds like me playing through Fallout 76 before any of the major patches. Great video as always PG! 😁
It is similar in a lot of ways! I think the game could be very good towards the end of its life cycle. Amazon has pulled the plug on most of its other games though so if New World doesn't do well idk if they will make it another 2 years to get the development it needs. I guess we will just have to see.
New World was bad on release but it's a great game now so long as you are on a high pop server. So to talk about it in the past tense is just very disrespectful.
We're going to have to agree to disagree that it is "great" now. It still has many bugs, for example the one that prevented me from loading past the Continue screen or crashing my game client. These are new bugs that were not an issue prior to the Heart of Madness update. I also much preferred my experience playing on a low population server. It had better latency and the general culture was better because interactions were more meaningful, but that's just a preference.
