Nice job brother! 🔪
Yes, indeed this blade does the job, thanks for the support. And Stay Safe
Especially if it is not frozen
Colorado, thanks for your Support. Yeah, if it's not frozen that great. But if it is frozen I'm going to use my axe 🪓. Stay Safe
Hey buddy👋🏾 catching up on videos!
Hey there My Friend, thanks for dropping in. You are truly appreciated. Stay Safe
Looks like autumn olive.
Thanks for dropping in MrOldclunker. Yeah this is what the App on my phone show. Just trying to learn a little Foraging. Stay Safe
Ty VB 👌 wonder if that tea is good? Check email thanks 😊 recipes 👌
@@donnadivineprepping9742 Thanks so much for your Support. As always, you are appreciated. (See email). Stay Safe
@@donnadivineprepping9742 I haven't tried the Tea yet but will let you know how it turns out. Stay Safe
Great video. I bought a Jungle Primitive back in the day. I just liked the looks of it, and wanted to have one for my collection. It can be a practical tool also, IMHO. I still have it. I forget it it's been 20 years or how long.
Thank you for dropping in. That is a good choice. I had no idea this Machete was around 20 yrs ago. Honestly I bought it because I really like Serrated Edges and plus it has an okay saw. And the blade is 9.5 inches. I can't wait to get back to Virginia and give it a go. Stay Safe
@@thevirginiabushcrafter8833 It's been around for a long time. I was guessing maybe 20 years, but can't remember exactly.
@@thevirginiabushcrafter8833 The oldest video I could find was 15 years ago. So the knife model is at least that old. th-cam.com/video/oFOstzNMIug/w-d-xo.htmlsi=kKIl7HJ_1WjDtUjp
How’s your orientation map and compass 🧭 practicing going? That’s always been a fun thing. So many ways and places to practice.
Thanks for dropping in Olhiker, much appreciated. The compass is coming along great. Azimuths and Back Bearings is a fun learning skill. I still have not purchased a topo map but have been studying it. It does in fact provide you with a picture of your terrain. And I still have to do my Pace Count. Hopefully I will be able to take a Navigation Class at the next Georgia Bushcraft Meetup.. Stay Safe My Friend

Another nice knife. If I could only have one piece of equiptment, it would be a full tang knife. Have a great day
Thank you so much for dropping in, much appreciated. You made a great choice. Stay Safe!
👍
Matt, thanks for your Support, much appreciated. Stay Safe
My most valuable tool is my hand forged knife that was made from a 1911 Springfield rifle. The steel the wood and the leather is all from the same rifle and it's awesome. It's a full tang and about the same size as the knife you showed. However mine has a strong clip with a false edge.
juandemarko, thanks for dropping in; much appreciated. I am sure your knife is High Quality. From a 1911 Springfield Rifle; that is awesome. Stay Safe.

gmanana, thanks for your support; much appreciated.

Well said!
Thank You very much, Sir. Much Appreciated..
Wood is an awesome source of heat problem is it's not allowed and a lot of areas
Thanks for dropping in, much appreciated. Yes, it is sad that many places do not allow for wood burning. Stay Safe
Wood is a wonderful alternative I burned wood for years and went to gas logs I still keep two tandem loads of split firewood covered up behind my house just in case greetings from Wilkes County North Carolina hope all is well in Georgia God bless
Much agreed, Sir. I like to keep some wood on hand as well just in case., you just never know. I bring a piece or two every time I leave the Bush. It adds up. Stay Safe
I have a wood furnace and it works great! Been burning wood my entire life.
Thanks for dropping in; much appreciated. Yup, when burned in a fireplace or wood stove, wood produces substantial heat, which can be crucial for staying warm during cold weather emergencies. Stay Safe.
Yes , we all should have a woodburner
Much agreed, Sir. In my area, a person can gather dead fall and dead standing wood, as long as it is not used for commercial use, eliminating the need to rely on deliveries or external supply chains. I always bring a few pieces when leaving the Bush. It all adds up. Stay Safe
ZOMFG drool!
Thanks for dropping in, much appreciated. Yup, it's going to be a challenge. Stay Safe
Like 32! I may get me this particular machete! Thanks for sharing! 😊😊
Farout, Thank you for your support, much appreciated. Yeah I think you're going to really like this machete. I've just played around with it since I purchased it and it is a winner. Can't wait to get it into the Bush. Stay Tuned and most of all Stay Safe
What kind of setup are you thinking?
Hey Prepared Irishman, gtsy. For that location, I would just through up a Lean-To. There is a nice little stream nearby also. Stay Safe
I saw one of those down at Bladeshow, very cool!
Wow how was Blade Show, wonderful, I'm sure. Did you pick up anything? Yeah, can't wait to get it into the Bush. I purchased it just because of the Sawback and the Serration Edge. Stay Safe
Now that’s a beast !! A lot of great info here !! I always loved serrations until I tried battoning with them , and for that I don’t like them ! Great explanation of all the features and materials of the knife !! Well done 👍🏼 🔪
Thank you for your support; much appreciated. Yeah, many people are not fond of the serration edge, and I understand. I first used the serrated edge on a Gerber LMF II and liked it very much. So, I have to have more than one knife with a serrated edge. Many of my folders have serrated edges. Stay Safe.
Nice
Thank you so much for dropping in, much appreciated. It has the most important thing for Bushcrafting; You can make a Shelter, plenty of wood 🪵, and there is a running stream nearby. Stay Safe
I've kept the gambit as a boot knife for almost 3 years now and it's never let me down.
Thanks for dropping in Juandemark. Great idea as a Boot Knife. I've been wearing mine as Scout Carry. I'm really liking it too. Stay Safe
Ty. 🥰VB
Hello my Friend, good to hear from you and thanks for your Support, much appreciated. Hope all is well with and yours and you all are bearing the weather well. Stay Tuned and most of all, Stay Safe.
You are a good teacher @@thevirginiabushcrafter8833. I am on the hunt for an all purpose knife / machete
Good mornin !! 🖐😎👍🔪
Thanks for dropping in, good morning to you as well! 🖐😎👍🔪. Stay Safe
Me and a bud did a week survival trip in the snow to north ga. Got in early and make a shelter, no blankets or bags so the shelter had to do it. We built a shelter that held 70 degrees all night in 25 degree weather and enough fire wood for the night. The only issue was the little hook on the bottom wanted to blister a spot on our pinky’s on the grip. It worked flawless except for that one spot on the grip. I still have and use a lot, SOG is my favorite maker of knives. Great call out on a great knife.. ty
Thank you so much for your support and for sharing your experience. You've done what I want to do. Everytime it snows in Virginia, I'm usually out of town. Was you alls shelter a Super Shelter. That is awesome to hold 70 degrees in 25 degree weather. And yes I can't wait to get that SOG Jungle Primitive Machete into the Bush. And yes, the Pommel is a little sharp and may create a Hot Spot, I'm going to keep leather gloves on hopefully to prevent that issue. Stay Safe My Friend.
Hello from Wilkes County North Carolina enjoyed the video have a great day
Thank you so much for dropping in, I appreciate your support. Stay Safe!
I nearly always have a folding blade on me and at least one fixed blade in my get-home-bag. Gerber Strongarm or Prodigy are my go-to U.S.A. made blades with proven reliability. Great video; knives are a definite necessity.
Thanks for dropping in, it's always good to see another knife enthusiast. Yes, I have Gerber LMF II and like it very much. It has served me well. I also have a Gerber Saw, it is awesome. And I do the same as you, I carry a Fixed and a Folding knife as my EDC. Stay Safe

Thanks for your Support FaroutAmazingAdventures and you are most welcome. I like to share what I learn from A to Z about the Bush. Stay Safe!
I didn't see where you mentioned what size tarp? And where it could purchased? 😊
Hello Wandere, thanks for dropping back in. The tarp is 10 ft x 10 ft and it was purchased at Texas Bushcraft on line. It comes in brown and green. Let me know when you get it; you'll enjoy it. Stay Safe
Have a great trip
Thank you so much for the well wishes, much appreciated. Stay Safe.
Thanks for showing the Baker Tarp setup. I really like that Texas Bushcraft tarp. I have never heard of them. I might have to purchase one. Looks very dry for a fire in your area though. Stay safe and warm. Thanks again.
Dick, thanks for watching, much appreciated. Yeah, the Baker Tarp Shelter, (I can tell) is going to be my favorite shelter. The tarp itself, I will be purchasing another but in Green. When I did this video, the ground was moist; it always is in VA. Stay Safe.
I've flown probably 500 times and still hate it safe travel my friend
Thanks for dropping in my Friend, you are appreciated. Yeah, flying is so much faster than driving. So you have to enjoy the clouds scenery. Stay Safe.
Bon voyage
Yup, amazing how something so large can travel so fast. Stay Safe my Friend
