The Agawa Boreal 24" Bucksaw comes with an aggressive, Sidney Rancher II Blade that saws on the push and pull, making easier and faster work.
The Estwing 26" Axe has a 4" Convex Edge geared towards felling and chopping dead fall. Makes for more efficient work.

Great video my friend. That Borel saw looks awesome the way it cuts through those trees. I may have to get one of them for myself. It is a good days work using an axe on dried wood. I like to roll a piece of log under the tree or log I'm cutting to elevate it enough to saw it. I get on my knees to do my cutting. It's a little rough with the arthritis but much easier. I'm glad you met Blackie Thomas at the Georgia bushcraft get together. He is absolutely a treasure trove of knowledge and wisdom. I watch every video of his i can find. Blackie is definitely a master woodsman. Blackie Thomas and Dave Canterbury are my two go to guys if I want to learn more about a subject. The meal you cooked sounds good. I cook similar at home sometimes when I just want something quick and easy. Check out Blackie's cooking videos for inspiration. Keep those videos coming my friend and I'll catch you in the next one. Take care and God bless.

Hey, thanks for dropping in Templar. Yeah, I first hesitated about the Bowsaw, but now, it is part of my rucksack. And I am so glad that I didn't sell that Estwing Axe as I had thought about it several times. You've got some good tools in your vehicle. Stay Safe.

I like my Estwing Sportsman Hand Axe & Pull Saw Pruning Saw (or other affordable saws I have)
    had both for 30+ years
saws like Agawa & Silky I just can't afford... 😕

Thanks for dropping in Elizabeth, much appreciated. I know what you mean. The Estwing will last forever. But I do like the performance of the Agawa Boreal 24 Bosaw, but maybe not the price so much. Stay Safe

I appreciate your concern for safety with your cutting tools. I have some questions. They're rhetorical to get you to think about the scenarios. What are you doing to do if or when that mistake does happen and you miss while chopping and cleave off part of a leg, severing an artery? What are you going to do if you fall and break a leg or an arm? What are you going to do in the event of a GSW? What are you going to do if you fall and a stick creates a deep hole in you that you need to stop the bleeding but cannot apply a TQ? SAFETY FIRST brother. Look into a quality IFAK. It'll be pricey, but have it stocked. Build on it. I have two med kits I keep with me. A BOO-BOO/ FIRST AID kit with bandaids, medicines, gauze, and a few other things. Then there's the OUCH POUCH/ IFAK/ BLOWOUT/ the "oh shit, if i don't fix this i'm going to die" bag. The red cross offers free classes on different levels of medical care. You can get certified thru them. It may save your life or someone else's. Happy Thanksgiving brother.

Thanks for dropping in Snoopy, you are appreciated. You have some "very" valid comments/concerns. Well, beside pray, I carry an IFAK and have taken First Aid. And "Stop the Bleed" will be taken very soon. But also, that is why I take the precaution of making sure my left leg is behind me when I am chopping to the left and my right leg is behind me when I am chopping to the right. You don't want that Axe to bound and hit your leg, I've seen that before. These are techniques to study before ever attempting to chop or fell a tree. Most important for anyone going into the Bush/Woods is to be a student first. And never Rush, you have all the time in the world. If you get tired, stop and rest or just save the task for another day. Safety is of the Utmost Important.
      Stay Safe my Friend.

you need two saw blades one for green wood and one for dried. you never know which one until you are in the bush

Thanks for dropping in; much appreciated. Yup, I agree with you. I thought the Bosaw came with two blades, one for hardwood and one for green/soft wood. But I always carry a Bacho Laplander with me as a backup. But I intend to get that soft wood blade anyway. Stay Safe.
