  • Tools used to make an all-night campfire: 18-inch D-Ring saw, (cut on the push & pull strokes); 18-inch Estwing Axe, Becker BK-21 Kukri; Condor Terrasaur knife.
Sawed five logs 3 to 4 feet long and minimum 10 inches diameter; used Estwing Axe to chop 5-inch branches, used Becker BK-21 Kukri to split wood, and used Condor Terrasaur to make feather sticks. Use a ferro rod to throw sparks onto magnesium to create flames onto fatwood on to larger wood. Stoke the campfire every hour.
Constructed a Tipi Tarp Shelter to sleep in.

Hey VB! Thanks for sharing. Self feeding is the way to go. If you build them so as one burns, the next one rolls in that has worked for me.

Thanks for sharing. Getting up every hour or two to stoke the fire is work. I camped from Friday evening until Monday morning and I love some bushcraft. I used my hammock and a tarp to sleep in. It rained most of the time and I had thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday night so my hammock was rocking but I did stay dry. The temperature just got down to about 55 degrees Fahrenheit so it wasn’t cold using a light sleeping bag. Thanks for another good video.

Quite exceptional video young man. I really enjoy the overnighters and was glad to see you doing one. I noticed your saw looks much like mine and cuts about the same. I need to get me a better one so I don't have to work as hard 😅. We are nor getting any younger so anything that saves us time and energy is great. I like the fire starter combining the magnesium and ferro rod but, I would only use the magnesium when I couldn't start a fire without it. The magnesium is so soft it will be easy to use it up too quickly. Great job on the feather sticks. If you feather some fatwood your ferro rod throws sparks hot enough to light it up. I would cut my logs to about 18"-24" to save on cutting too. Overall my brother you made an excellent video. Keep practicing the skills and learning. We are all in this to help each other, share knowledge, learn and make new friends. Take care and God bless.

Hello VB! I agree with you on the mag block in fire starting. I didn’t understand it for a long time and thought was junk. Like many other things I had to learn. In love, I want to comment about your saw. I think it is designed trim limbs. I guess it has little to no set in the teeth which will make it bind in thicker stock. I hate to see you work so hard. I’ll hope for you a more suitable saw for bigger stock. Thanks for the video.
