I have 7500km on my MT21 front (DRZ400E). I did reverse the tyre at 5000km just as it started to cup. It has now worn back with no cupping with 60% tyre life left.. I agree with them having good traction in most conditions and reasonably quite on the road. At $105.00 from the MX store, pretty hard to beat for value. I will say that I don't mind the rear either as they seem to grip better than the D606. The only downside for the rear MT21 is that they wear pretty quick and square off. I thank I am going to try the PIRELLI SCORPION RALLY DESERT RACE front and do some more research for the rear.
We're heading to the desert in a couple of months and still deciding on tyre choice. Currently running a Pirelli Scorpion Rally Race front and D606 rear but I'm considering a Motoz RallyZ for the rear ( DR650). How did you find the MT31 and RallyZ combo in sand. Cheers
You mean M21 not 31 ? , M21 fantastic for everything ( hard to believe I know and not expensive ) Are you riding to the desert or trailer ? If trailer HIGHLY recommend the Motoz Desert HT rear . ( very noisy on road fantastic off ) but if riding Rallz, Goldentyre GT723 or even the trusty 606 again .
Fitted one to a T7 and didn’t like it. It kept sliding in corners then gripping. I went back to Pirelli scorpion rally race mst more expensive but a far better tyre. The tyre fitter called it the aggressive tyre. 90% off road tyre and noisey.
Yes 👍 that’s what I use on the front , and at present using the GoldenTyre 721 rear , but did prefer the Motoz Rallz ( more total grip ) were the GoldenTyre in corners sliding the rear around would bite , lose traction, bite lose traction, right on the edge . Center great for hills etc as is a paddle design and even good on wet asphalt. But the Rallz has the same traits, but better in most situations.

Yes I hear that’s a good 👍 front to , I didn’t like the 21 rear much wore WAY to quick and not the feel like a rear D606
D606 for the rear

Ok , most love the M21 I love the grip it gives , but we all like the tyres that suit our riding style , bike etc .
Give the Motoz Tractionator Enduro IT a go. Tenere rider in our group uses this tyre on the front. I use it on my AJP PR7
If you actually look at the side of the tyre they are called an MT21 😁

Yeah cool but you keep confusing me when you leave the T out of the name lol cause I searched for M21 but there's no such thing :)
@@MVDBR Sorry it’s MT21 Rally cross. My bad mate .
Haha all good chief glad we got that sorted!
At any rate I don't think I've ever tried one, will have to one day tho. You're not the only bloke who rates them pretty high 👌👌
Road and dirt use?
It does fantastic off road and VERY good 👍 on road and lasts around 10-12000km ( depending on your riding style , terrain and bike size )
