I feel like this is sybolic of the decline of the US as a whole. It takes a strong nation with some great minds and engineering expertise to build mega projects like this dam. Qualities the US (and UK) had in abundance in the 1950s and 60s. Now, they can't even find the will to MAINTAIN these incredible feats of engineering, and they are falling into a state of disrepair and neglect. WHY?! Things are pretty much the same here in the UK. Not long ago we HAD so many great things and institutions here, and lately it's all just sliding down the pan. Nobody is attacking us, nobody is trying to steal it away, we're just letting it all go to rot out of apathy and its so incredibly sad! 😒

Hello Good Folks. Thanks for another solid and interesting video. Sorry for the loss of your dog. I've been lucky enough to get to White Pocket a few times; gotten stuck in the sand on the access road too! Some 4x4 sand confidence definitely helps. FYI, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument (Utah-Arizona stateline) includes the limited access "WAVE" feature but White Pocket is a great, unlimited second choice; you can disperse camp there too. Pi**es me off. Just like during the pandemic when all the parks were closed in Cali and Vegas. So what did people do? Came to my new home of southern utah and tag up the rocks at Sand Hollow and Gunlock. Utah doesn't play that, commit a crime and get out of jail free like cali does. So if people to get caught up here, punish to fullest extent of the law. That's why laws and punishments exist. I hope they do find these 2 blowhards for destroying ancient protected landscapes
